Old, renovated Cévennes farmhouse dependence on a wild and privileged site

The 50-m² cottage is located 8 km away from Vigan, at 600 m above sea level and opposite to Esparon Rock, in the heart of the Cévennes. It hosts up to 5 people. The house is located in the middle of the Cévennes chestnut grove. It is ideal for nature lovers, offering panoramic views of the valley and the picturesque village of Esparon. Its location also allows for hiking directly from the house, on foot, by bicycle or mountain bike. You can also go pick chestnuts and mushrooms in autumn. It consists of a bedroom and a large living room, and an open-plan kitchen. A 40-m² living room is arranged around a big Jotul stove that allows for spending pleasant evenings by the fire in the cold season. Outside, there is a south facing terrace with a panoramic view. According to your plans, you will settle here for having breakfast with the first rays of sun before taking a stroll and coming back for a well-deserved aperitif-barbecue or for taking a nap in a hammock in the shade of trees first. It is all up to you!

Het is een lief huisje midden in de natuur met een geweldig terras waar je de hele dag zon en schaduw hebt en een prachtig uitzicht.Het ligt in een mooi wandelgebied en we hebben heerlijk gezwommen in verschillende rivieren met glashelder water. De eigenaar is heel sympathiek.We hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad en wie weet komen we nog eens terug.

Wunderbares Fleckchen Erde

Wir waren 3 Wochen und es war grandios. Im Haus ist alles was man braucht. Für 2 Personen quasi perfekt. Die Vermieter Familie ist sehr nett, Hund und Katz kommt auch mal zu besuch. Alles sehr relaxed.

Wunderschöne Lage inmitten der Natur

Wir haben einen wunderschönen und sehr erholsamen Urlaub in den Cevennen verbracht. Alles hat hervorragend geklappt, Benoît und seine Familie sind sehr nett und immer hilfsbereit. Die Lage auf einer abgelegenen Passhöhe bietet einen herrlichen Ausblick in die wunderschöne Landschaft. In der direkten Umgebung gibt es zahlreiche Wandermöglichkeiten in abgeschiedener Natur und mit Le Vigan auch ein hübsches Städtchen mit allem, was man für das tägliche Leben braucht. Das Haus ist einfach, aber gut ausgestattet, einschließlich Geschirrspüler und Waschmaschine.

Dommage avait du potentiel

Nous avons été déçu par le gîté, les photos sont sympas mais la réalité est autre. Déjà la vue, un arbre cache les 3/4 du panorama!! La propreté est à revoir, j’ai relavé toute la vaisselle. Très compliqué pour faire à manger sur une toute petite plaque à induction où deux poêles ont du mal à fonctionner si mal placé (gîte pour 5 personnes alors que j’ai déjà eu du mal à cuisiner pour 2) Pour le lit, il s’agit d’un sommier vissé sur des bûches et le futon qui sert de canapé est super inconfortable et sans table basse. Ne pas venir avec une voiture trop neuve, le chemin pour accéder au gîte a des trous et gare aux buissons qui pourraient l’abîmer. Convient très bien aux baroudeurs et aux jeunes. Dommage parce que les propriétaires sont sympa !!

Une semaine vraiment délicieuse! cette dépendance a été décorée avec un goût très sûr, les matériaux sont beaux et tout est conçu pour la détente... La vue est splendide et c'est un grand bonheur de prendre le petit déjeuner au soleil sur la terrasse! Cette région magnifique et l'accueil très sympathique de nos hôtes nous donnent très envie de revenir. Merci!

En un mot génial! Le gîte est très confortable, bien équipé, paisible, isolé mais proche de toutes commodités. Encore mieux en vrai qu'en photo. Le propriétaire est super sympathique. Il communique à merveille sa passion pour sa région. Nous avons passé de belles vacances en famille et nous n'espérons qu'une chose vite pouvoir y retourner!

Das Haus ist sehr nett, modern eingerichtet und viel Platz. Es befindet sich mitten der Natur, gleich neben dem Haus der Besitzer. Kleiner Mangel: Bitte ordentlich staubsaugen und Spinnweben etc. entfernen, sonst sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet! Man fühlt sich gleich zu Hause. Benoit, der Besitzer, ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants im Ort Le Vigan ca. 10 Minuten mit dem Auto. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen im Umland! Preis/Leistung perfekt! Danke Benoit, der Urlaub bleibt uns unvergesslich! La maison est plaisante, spacieuse et aménagement moderne. Elle est située au milieu de la nature, juste à côté de la maison du propriétaire. Petit manque: svp passer l´aspirateur correctement et enlever les toiles d'araignée etc., sinon très propre et bien équipé! On se sent tout de suite chez soi. Benoit, le propriétaire, est amical et accueillant. Les commodités et les restaurants se trouvent à Le Vigan, à peu près 10 minutes en voiture. Un point de départ idéal pour des randonnées dans les environs! Parfait rapport qualité/prix! Merci Benoit, ces vacances nous restent inoubliables!

De quoi décrocher ! Belle vue ... et bien centré.

Contact & accueil agréable avec les propriétaires (mail / tél et sur place), qui sont aussi de bon conseil. L'accès se mérite, mais le point de vue est imprenable. Ce gîte de montagne a un charme que sa sobriété met en valeur (peut-être qq petits équipements à y ajouter : ciseaux/ ouvre-boîtes/ petite poubelle de SB & accroches torchons, mais nous avons su nous en passer, en mettant ces petits manques sur le compte de sa récente mise en location). De plus, sa situation est idéale pour rayonner entre Cévennes (avons vu 1 renard et des aigles, et des sites ultra-variés) et vallée de l'Hérault, les deux étant particulièrement dépaysantes. 8 jours que nous n'oublierons pas !

I come from a neighbouring village. I am very attached to this part of the Cévennes and the lifestyle associated with it. The cottage is a part of the farmhouse that we are renovating.

What makes this property unique

The view ... the sunrises that never bore ... the forest that opens its arms to you. The Cévennes mountains that are just down the road, for great hiking or wild swimming. The cottage and its original and friendly furnishings ... the cocooning evenings by the fire.
