The animals, people, food, house and quietude come together to create a realm of contentment and tranquility that is from times past. A sense of Old World stone and wood coupled with extraordinary wine, cooking, fires and spatial openness. We raise sheep, dairy goats, chickens, ducks, rabbits and a Great Pyrenees. The house is large with a great room and two sided fireplace. We live in the house on the upper level and there will likely be other guests in the house, especially on weekends. You have full use of the house and farm and patio and the farm grounds. This location is about 15 miles from Athens and is great if you are visiting the area for a game weekend. We have Wifi but no television in that this a quiet and peaceful place where you can rest and relax and heal. We are a gateway to north Georgia, located less than 17 miles from the walkable college center of downtown Athens… an hour from Atlanta, great kayaking, and waterfall hikes… easy access to I-85, just 25 miles from vineyards and wineries… less than 2 miles from the historic Shields-Etheridge Farm along a shady gravel road perfect for jogging or bicycling. We had a wonderful stay with John and Sarah. The farm is a relaxing and comfy place to stay. Communication with the host was great and we enjoyed John’s suggestion of a historic cotton far nearby. A great stay!
Love staying here on the farm and look forward to another visit this year. Location is perfect for visiting UGA and all that Athens has to offer. John is a very friendly host and my quarters were quite comfortable. The farm is always my first choice when visiting Athens
I was in town for a wedding on a game day and looked for a reasonably priced unique over night stay WITH PETS and boy did I hit the Jack pot. Recommending to everyone
John is a gracious host who welcomes guests into his home and gardens. I especially loved the friendly farm animals, fruit on the vines, and the pool which has an extra shallow end for young kids and is long enough for lap swim. The TV-free atmosphere was much appreciated.
This is a great place for a long or short visit. John is a wonderful host. He showed me all around and I felt completely safe and comfortable. The pool is amazing and the farm is beautiful. I will definitely be back.
The entire experience was pleasant and easy. The restful peace I found here every morning and evening was just what I needed to enjoy an active summer vacation schedule. The family and friends enjoyed ending each day at the pool where we felt like we were somewhere at a vineyard in Tuscany surrounded by roses and statues. There is a bit of magic and lots of love here. We all enjoyed walking around the farm saying hi to baby chickens, goats, pigs, dogs and cats! The wildflowers are beautiful and sitting under the trees taking it all in brought me great peace.
Arrived late at night and owner was in communication with me all the way, providing site info.
Rainy nite in GA, and owner, on vacation himself, still kept in touch. Quiet oasis of a room-exit for dog just outside door. Clean facilities, and breathtaking entry room!
Morning staff engaging and friendly at breakfast. Would definitely stay again-tip: if raining-try to arrive early🙄
I was really road weary from my drive but this place was so comfy— I felt right at home! The location is beautiful and all the animals on the farm were so cute and quiet. The room was clean and comfortable and the hosts were hospitable. I think I’ll come back soon!
Wonderful stay in this fantastic home with very kind and generous guests. We had a relaxed time and fabulous breakfast. I couldn't recommend this BnB enough!
Spent a couple days at Corriedale Farms on the way up to visit my brother. I needed someplace to focus on writing a book and this was perfect. Beautiful, clean main house and charming grounds. John was a great host-he pretty much let us have the run of the property and we took advantage of the fire pit and the kitchen to cook some really good meals with the other couple who was also staying. Loved the animals and pets too.
Whether you're from the area looking for a "staycation" or just passing through, this is an awesome property. Will most certainly be back at some time in the future.
The Lindsay's were gracious hosts and made us feel at home. All accommodations were easily accessible, and the location was perfect for us. We'll be back.
