Bali-like vibes with an Island feel! A boutique experience is in order as soon as you pass through the gate. You are greeted by the canopy covered seating area with a fountain to relax by. Continue walking towards the backyard and enjoy the enchanting vibe that leads you to your room. The beautiful flat deck will indicate to turn left and veer towards your "grill and chill" area. You can immediately sit and take in the shaded sitting area surrounded by timber and black bamboo! Carry on to the left and you'll discover the entry into your comfy dwelling. A mile as the crow flies to the beach and super close to great resturaunts and bars that will appeal to all pallets. Minutes away from Carlsbad Village, Oceanside Pier and harbor. Great food, craft beer and boundless fun with the ocean, beaches and mountains all within a few minutes reach. A SoCal experiences through and through!

Neat and sweet

Lots of thoughtful touches throughout. USB connections in each room.Fantastic tropical garden setting. Very quiet. Friendly and interesting owner. Highly recommended!

Amazing stay at a very special property

We stayed nearly a week in Oceanside at Kaza Kokos. We rented both bedrooms and everything was fantastic. The rooms are well furnished, very clean and comfortable. Much better than staying at a hotel in my opinion. The Fire Hill neighborhood is a great spot to explore the entire area. Just two minutes to get to the beach and also the highway if heading into San Diego. Very quiet and the outdoor space is a huge bonus as very comfortable, spacious and peaceful to hang out. Perhaps the best part of the entire stay is the host, Chris! His communication was prompt and friendly from the start. He made sure we were clear on the check-in process and even checked up on us a few times during our stay to see if we needed anything at all. Overall, a great place at a great price.

Beautiful long weekend

Chris is a gracious host. Even had a bar of chocolate waiting for me. 😁Property is clean, quiet, with a gorgeous outdoor area. Was just a 1.6 mile jog to the beach. Highly recommend!

Perfect getaway!

Could not have had a more pleasant stay! Host Chris was welcoming and helpful. The location was quiet and near everything I needed. Unit was clean, cozy and had all the amenities. The patio area was amazing!!!! Thank you for a lovely stay, highly recommend!

Hello my name is Chris!
Originally born an Angeleno. After 22 years living in a suburb of LA I finally listened to a friend who told me "come South my friend"! I've lived all over San Diego (in-between some traveling) since 1992. I've finally planted roots here in Oceanside in 2012 and I'm excited to share my place with you!
Surfing, woodworking and the love for photography has shaped my life and led me to far away places. This has also influenced my ideas and inspired me to build my little slice of paradise right here in Fire of the Most desired neighborhoods in Oceanside!

Why they chose this property

I absolutely love my neighborhood! My home was built in 1967 and was in need of some upgrades. The journey has taken me 6 years to finally realize my vision and create this comfortable dwelling I call home!
Upon arrival you will immediately understand where the motif is heading. The unique canopy features over the driveway will demonstrate what you're about to experience. Enter through the small gate and step into the enchanting world I've created. Inspired by my travels in Indonesia and more specifically Bali. You'll experience the feeling that you've arrived into a welcoming guest home made popular by the friendly people known as the Balinese!
