Farm 'In Olde Krabbe' is located in Baarlo, a rural hamlet in the lake district of Overijssel, near Giethoorn. An ideal area for sailing, surfing and swimming. The farm has been converted into a holiday home and is very suitable for 2 families.
The farmhouse was built in 1860, has been modernized with a new kitchen and is simply furnished. There is a large garden with a veranda overlooking the meadows.
2 farms in operation in the immediate vicinity. The farmhouse has a living room, games room, kitchen, 5 bedrooms and a large barn (accessible internally), where children can swing and play. There is a tennis table and rowing boat. At a distance of 7 kilometers you will find Meppel, where many shops and a swimming paradise can be found.

We loved the place: well stocked kitchen, nice patio area, ping pong table, good beds, nicely renovated shower/bathrooms, and very calm surroundings close to a canal and neighborhood farmers.We would recommend this place to anyone!

Prettige plek. Veel ruimte en attributen buiten en in de schuur voor spelactiviteiten, relaxen en barbecueën. Voldoende goede slaapkamers, ruime woonkamer. Een nadeel: veel vliegen.

unieke locatie

Boerderij met veel brocante en een prachtige tuin en veranda. Geen standaard vakantiewoning. Door het mooie weer optimaal genoten van de buitenruimte, de roeiboot en al het aanwezige speelgoed. De grote hal en (speel)schuur zorgen voor veel leefruimte. Wij hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad.

Precies wat we zochten!

We gaan met deze groep vaker een weekendje weg, maar dit was echt het leukste huis waar we in hebben gezeten. De volgende keer willen we dan ook zeker weer terugkomen <3

Beste Cathy, dank je wel voor de recensie en je tips om, het verblijf in Baarlo nog beter te maken. Graag geef ik even wat informatie over deze punten: -elke slaapkamer beschikt over een eigen bergruimte -er bevindt zich een linnenkast in de grote slaapkamer beneden, deze laten wij altijd open, zodat onze gasten nog wat extra handdoeken of linnengoed kunnen gebruiken -het beddengoed dat er ligt betreft een 2- persoons dekbed en is altijd schoon. Wij voorzien dit omdat alle andere dekbedden 1- persoons zijn en we verwarring willen voorkomen. -in de keuken is er lege kastruimte, maar er staan ook kruiden en andere producten die iedereen mag gebruiken -we zorgen voor een reserve gasfles -onze schoonmaker checkt altijd of de BBQ schoon is -er is een splinternieuw Nespresso koffiezet apparaat aangeschaft Op deze manier hopen we bij te dragen aan een zeer prettig verbliijf en we zijn blij dat alle gasten zo enthousiast zijn over de boerderij! Heerlijk huis!

Wij verbleven met 10 volwassenen in de leeftijd van 18 tm 76 jaar een week in Baarlo. Wat een fijn knus huis. Oude elementen en karakteristieke kenmerken. Fijne bedden en badkamers. Wij hadden wisselvallig weer maar vermaakten ons prima onder de grote veranda en in de enorme schuur. Tafeltennis competitie was aan! De keuken is niet enorm maar wij pasten met 10 man precies aan tafel. Genoeg keuken gerei, potten en pannen. Mooie grote tuin en uitzicht. Aanrader!

Top weekend

Leuk groot huis, prima locatie. Je moet wel van oud houden en een wat nostalgische inborst hebben. De boerderij heeft veel authentieke details. Veel ruimte om huis en een grote schuur. We troffen fantastisch weer en hebben ons met meegebrachte sup en kano in het haventje vermaakt.

Heerlijk weekend gehad

Fijn weekend met de familie gehad, ouderwets ontspannen, terug in de tijd. Een fijn ontdek huis met geweldige speelschuur, door jong en oud (kinderen, tieners en volwassenen) gebruik van gemaakt! Heerlijk buiten gezeten!

Authentiek en vrij

Oude boerderij met veel authentieke details, zoals een bedstee en houten panelen en tegelwanden. Fijne bedden en douches. Er is veel ruimte in en om de boerderij en een veranda waar je heerlijk kan zitten. Mooie omgeving waar veel is te doen. Wij hebben er geweldig genoten.

Fijne familie week

Fijn huis. Heerlijke eetkeuken, leuke woonkamer, en ook een erg handige speelkamer (die ook slaapkamer is). Leuk opkamertje beneden. Kamers boven waren ook prima, je moet wel goed ter been zijn daarvoor (maar anders slaap je beneden). Schuur met schommels was een uitkomst bij slecht weer. De tuin is ruim, leuk dek.

Leuke boerderij

Veel ruimte in en buiten de boerderij, ideaal voor grote gezinnen en voor een reünie. Kinderen kunnen spelen in de grote schuur. Onder de veranda is het mooi zitten en BBQ-en.

Enttäuscht, schlechter als erwartet

Bei der Information auf dieser Webside zu diesem sehr alten und rustikalem Bauernhaus haben wir mit einfacher Ausstattung gerechnet aber nicht mit dem, was uns da erwartet hat. Wir haben für zwei Familien einen Aufenthalt von 2 Wochen gebucht. Leider gab es keine Schränke für die Kleidung bzw. der eine verfügbare Schrank war gefüllt mit Kleidungsstücken des Vermieters. Nach einem Anruf beim Vermieter des Hauses, wurden uns wenigstens 3 Garderobenständer zur Verfügung gestellt und der einzig verfügbare Schrank teilweise ausgeräumt. Desweiteren war die Belüftung des "Spiel-/Schlafzimmers" sehr schwierig, da die Fenster nicht zu Öffnen gingen. Es war uns nicht klar wie steil die Treppen in das Obergeschoss sind. Aus diesem Grund ist das Haus sicher nicht geeignet, an Familien mit kleinen Kindern zu vermieten. Weitere Kommoden und Tische waren mit Gegenständen der Eigentümer gefüllt (Haarbürste etc.). Der vorhandene Gasgrill war alles andere nur nicht sauber. Die wenigsten der vorhandenen Fahrräder waren sicher für den Straßenverkehr. Zudem hatten wir einen halbenTag Regen und mussten feststellen, dass es im Wohnzimmer reinregnete. Nach einem Anruf beim Vermieter, bekamen wir die Aussage, dass das Haus sehr alt ist. Es machte uns nicht den Eindruck, dass es irgendwen kümmert. Die Restmülltonne war bei Anreise fast voll wie auch die anderen Tonnen, welche verstreut an stellenweise schlecht zugänglichen Stelllen standen. Glücklicherweise hatten wir wunderschönes Sommerwetter, sodass wir die meiste Zeit auf der sehr schönen Terasse/im sehr schön gelegenen Garten verbrachten , wenn wir nicht unterwegs waren.

Dear Michaela, thank you for your reaction and suggestions for a better experience. We added 2 wardrobes in the bed rooms and the window in the play/bedroom can be opened. We put a lot of effort in the maintenance of our family farm built in 1860 and very occasionally this is needed during a holiday. We are sorry that the garbage containers were not empty, apparently there was a miscommunication with our cleaner after the previous rental. And the steep stairs you are referring to give access to bedrooms that are not included in the rental, so you don’t have to use it. We have 2 bedrooms on the ground floor and 3 bedrooms on the first floor accessible via regular stairs. We are happy you enjoyed our garden and veranda so much. All the families that have stayed in our farm enjoyed that very much and we are happy they were also very positive about the rest of the farm, as you can read in the other reviews. Fijn en verrassend verblijf

We hebben het heerlijk gehad. Echt een leuk en verrassend huis! We hebben 2 avonden heerlijk buiten kunnen zitten, ge bbq-ed en gasverwarming ook nog aangekregen. De kids hebben zich ook prima kunnen uitleven en Zwartsluis en Giethoorn waren zeer de moeite waard. De 2 kamers die alleen te bereiken waren dmv steile trap is alleen wel voor de echte avonturier bestemd. Verder was er een prettige contact met de verhuurster en natuurlijk de gastvrijheid van hun huis, waarbij je overal gebruik van mag maken (trampoline, hangmatten, spelletjes, fietsen etc). Kortom een heel fijn familieweekend! Bedankt!

Een heerlijke boerderij voor groot en klein !

Een heerlijke boerderij voor groot en klein. Volop ruimte en een prachtige overdekte veranda als ontmoetingsplaats met grandioos uitzicht. Er is geen nee te koop. Van schommel tot tafeltennis tafel. In de woonkeuken kun je gezellig om de tafel. We zijn het hele weekend niet weg geweest. Het was er veel te leuk! Een heerlijke boerderij voor groot en klein.

authentieke sfeervolle zeer ruime familieboerderij

Wij hebben een fantastische week gehad in deze boerderij! Wat een geweldige plek. Rustig en een prachtig uitzicht vanaf de veranda over de weilanden waar naast de leuke schaapjes ook de ooievaars doorheen liepen en af en toe een haas langs schoot.Dit alles vanuit de hangmat bekeken! Van binnen een hele authentieke boerderij maar met alle gemakken. Goede keuken en twee badkamers en voor de kinderen was alles aanwezig. Ook leuke uitstapjes gemaakt in de omgeving zoals giethoorn en gezwommen bij de zwarte dennen. Ook een leuke gastvrije ontvangst met lekker flesje wijn en zelfgemaakt jam. Echt een aanrader

authentiek en landelijk gelegen

De Olde Krabbe heeft veel authentieke details,veel speelgoed voor binnen en buiten, fietsen in verschillende maten, een overkapping met heather waardoor er altijd buiten gezeten kan worden, heel veel ruimte binnen en buiten om te ravotten.Is schoon en goed onderhouden .Auto noodzakelijk. Dichtbij Staphorst en Giethoorn. We hebben er een heel plezierig verblijf gehad.
