Come recharge your batteries in our holiday cottage located in Storckensohn, in a small village of the Hautes-Vosges d’Alsace. This former farmhouse converted into a cosy country house has 4 bedrooms with their own private bathroom: bedrooms Grange, Cerisier, Aurores and Jardin des senteurs. Each bedroom has a personal style to better meet your expectations. In this way, the holiday cottage sleeps 4 to 10 people. On the ground floor: fitted kitchen opening onto the living room, the dining room and the veranda with piano and wood stove, second living room with television and DVD player set up in the former barn, bedroom with 140x190 cm bed and private ensuite bathroom (walk-in shower, vanity unit and toilet), separate toilet and terrace. A well-being area with Spa, sauna, bathroom and sun loungers is accessible via an elevator on level -1. Its large bay windows overlook the orchard by the stream. There you can relax far away from the stress. The first floor has 3 bedrooms with their own private ensuite bathroom (shower or Spa bath, vanity unit and toilet) and 90x200 cm beds convertible into a 180x200 cm bed as well as a small Mezzanine living room in the former barn. The ground floor and the well-being area on level -1 are accessible to disable people. Here are some details about the holiday cottage: the 60 m² living area reminds of traditional wooden verandas that are locally called “loewa”. There is a living room with a quality upright piano for music lovers, a dining room with wood stove and a veranda with high table in a green atmosphere. There is an access to the terrace that overlooks the orchard by the stream. The living area opens onto the fitted kitchen with induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer, raclette and fondue machines, kettle, coffee machine and blender. A small separate living room with television and DVD player has been set up in the former barn which picturesque charm has been preserved. This big room offers many opportunities to share friendly moments. The “Cerisier” bedroom: 2x90x200 cm beds convertible into a 180x200 cm bed, 2x90x200 cm trundle beds and extra cot upon request, private ensuite bathroom with Spa bath, double vanity unit, toilet and changing table. Cherry blossoms, raspberry pink and plum… This bedroom reminds us of the orchard that we can admire via a large bay window, settled into a rocking chair. Ideal for a romantic getaway, its huge surface is also suitable for parents with babies or groups of 4 people. The white bright bathroom has pieces of furniture that remind us of the fruit tree and a Spa bath to relax in a colourful bath. The “Grange” bedroom: 2x90x200 cm beds convertible into a 180x200 cm bed, private ensuite bathroom with shower, vanity unit and toilet and small ensuite Mezzanine living room in the former barn where the hay and different tools were stocked. This bedroom preserved the wooden atmosphere, the stack of sheaves that open onto the orchard, the old sledges and the schnapps cylinders. This is where the unused objects full of memories were stored. It is a place to peacefully meditate among objects from all over the world. The barn to travel through time. The “Aurores” bedroom: 2x90x200 cm beds convertible into a 180x200 cm bed and private ensuite bathroom with shower, vanity unit and toilet. East-exposed, the sun brightens up this bedroom at dawn, creating sparkling shades: lime green, mandarin, goldenrod, sweet chestnut, etc. The ensuite bathroom offers the same brightness with its multi-coloured tiles with fish, sea star, crab, turtles, etc. Between alcove, garden and seafront, this bedroom offers humour and energy as soon as you wake up. The “Jardin des senteurs” bedroom: 140x190 cm bed and private ensuite bathroom suitable for wheelchair users with walk-in shower, vanity unit and toilet. Its windows open onto the “jardin à déguster” with its herbs, wild strawberries and edible flowers. It is located along the street, a village street that further transforms into a path towards the Vosges Mountains. Its flowered and bright atmosphere is an invitation to serenity. Located on the street level, this bedroom is suitable for disabled people. The well-being area with Spa, sauna and relaxing chairs is at your disposal. It directly opens onto the orchard. In this way, everyone can organise its fitness program according to its needs, from the cold or hot shower to the sauna, the bubble bath with massages, the outdoor and indoor sun loungers and the soft music or the sound of nature. The surroundings offer remarkable well-marked paths that suit everyone’s taste: quiet or challenging walks to the summit. Different activities are available during your stay: hiking, mountain biking (4 mountain bikes at your disposal), donkey ride with your luggage, swimming, pedal boating, tree climbing, paragliding for amateurs, Alpine sliding and winter skiing. The village has a remarkable 18th century oil mill that can be visited and where they show how to press walnut oil with original commentaries from the son of the former owner. 5 minutes away, an exceptional industrial textile heritage welcomes you. The former factory of around 100 acres has been converted into a site ecomusem that takes advantage of the former productions, the château, the manor houses and the richly fitted former farm in a big park with different styles (English landscape garden, Mediterranean terraces, educational orchard garden, garden and rural park). It is ideal to discover it with your family; it is both fun and instructive. It is also a gourmet discovery as 3 quality restaurants are located on site. In winter, 5 ski resorts are available within a 30 minutes radius by car. You can also discover the Wine Route, taste typical “crus” from the local vineyards and stroll in the picturesque villages of the Alsatian Piedmont.

A very cozy house with everything one could wish for

The owner was very friendly and explained the relevant things upon arrival. The house is nicely decorated, very complete and very very clean. Kitchen is very well equipped too. There is a nice large yard with very comfortable furniture and there were even balls to play with. We could not with for anything more than everything that this house and the owner offered. Dieses Ferienhaus war für uns der perfekte Platz für unseren alljährlichen Familien-Kurzurlaub (4 Nächte). Das Haus ist hervorragend ausgestattet und zudem fühlten wir uns direkt herzlich willkommen. Es ist wirklich ein „Zuhause auf Zeit“. Im Haus ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht und weit darüber hinaus. Wir hatten sehr viel Regen, sodass wir von der wunderschönen Landschaft nur einen kleinen Teil erwandern konnten und die Schönheit des Gartens nur bestaunen konnten , und dennoch hatten wir eine wundervolle Zeit, durch die vielen Verweilbereiche im Haus und natürlich den tollen Wellnessbereich. Georgette ist eine hervorragende Gastgeberin mit viel Herz - sie ist immer ansprechbar, wenn man sie braucht. Wir empfehlen diesen besonderen Ort zu 100%! Danke an Georgette und ihre Familie.

We hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien; fijne kamers en badkamers. De tuin is groot. De kinderen hebben genoten van het beekje achter de tuin. We hebben goed gebruik gemaakt van de jacuzzi. Vanuit het huis hebben we een aantal mooie wandelingen op de omliggende bergen gemaakt. Prima uitvalsbasis voor dagtochten (Basel, Grand Ballon, Ballon d'Alsace etc.).

Séjour dans les Vosges entre amis pour le trail du Grand ballon

Nous étions un groupe de 9 adultes et un bébé à séjouner dans ce gîte. Nous avons tout simplement été comblés et avons passé un magnifique séjour. Le gîte est confortable, spacieux, chaleureux, nous nous y sommes tous sentis très bien. Nous l'avons trouvé également bien insonorisé, ce qui a permis à tout le monde de très bien dormir et d'avoir rythme, sans se gêner les uns les autres. Il est également très bien équipé, tout y est, rien n'a manqué ! L'espace spa a aussi été un gros plus (surtout pour aider nos jambes après le trail) et était lui aussi très qualitatif. Finalement, nous avons également eu un très bon contact avec Georgette qui est accessible et très gentille. Bref, notre séjour était idéal et je recommenderais ce gîte sans hésitation, été comme hiver.

Ideal für Familie mit Kindern

Es für alle was dabei. Erwachsene, Teenager und Kleinkinder. Ein liebevoll ausgestattetes Haus mit schönem Garten, den wir allerdings nicht so nutzen konnten, da es jeden Tag geregnet hat. Ansonsten schöne Terrasse mit Grill. Man kann es sich da richtig gut gehen lassen.

Wir waren bereits drei Mal dort. Die Gastgeberin ist unglaublich freundlich und unkompliziert. Ein Zimmer ist gemütlicher als das andere. Ein traumhaftes Haus mit vielen Ecken und Winkeln zum Verkriechen, einer bestausgestatteten Küche und einem Wohlfühlgarten mit beruhigendem Bachplätschern. Waren schon zum zweiten Mal hier und werden bestimmt noch mal wieder kommen. Sehr kinderfreundlich und super Ausstattung. Man fühlt sich gleich zu Hause und der Spa- Bereich ist der Hammer mit Whirlpool und Sauna. Mit schön gestaltete Zimmer und großer Garten. Kann man nur empfehlen.

Schönes Haus in traumhafter Umgebung

Wir waren mit der Familie hier, sieben Erwachsene und zwei Kinder, es hat uns überaus gut gefallen. Das Haus ist sehr schön mit geräumigen Zimmern mit jeweils eigenem Bad. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet mit allem, was man für eine große Gruppe benötigt. Es ist ein liebevoll ausgestattetes Haus, wo man sich nur wohl fühlen kann. Der SPA-Bereich ist mit einem Lift oder auch vom großen Garten aus über eine Treppe erreichbar. Sehr gut erreichbar auch für behinderte Menschen, für die auch noch ein barrierefreies Zimmer verfügbar ist. Großer Garten mit Grillmöglichkeit. Lademöglichkeiten für E-Autos in größeren Dörfern nicht weit entfernt. Es gibt unzählige Wandermöglichkeiten, vor Ort oder in unmittelbarer Nähe. Was soll ich sagen zur Gastgeberin Georgette. Sie ist überaus nett, unkombliziert, hilfsbereit-man muss sie einfach mögen. Wir waren bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal hier.

Entspannung in einem zauberhaften Ambiente. Wir waren zum wiederholten Mal in diesem Ferienhaus und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die sehr freundliche Vermieterin wohnt nebenan und ist immer hilfsbereit, wenn nötig.

Superbe endroit, superbe séjour !

Nous avons passé 5 jours dans ce gite superbe, la décoration est magnifique et soignée, les lieux sont parfaits, tout est là pour passer un agréable et paisible séjour. E la cerise sur le gâteau, un SPA envoutant (Sauna et Jacuzzi) ! L'environnement ne peut pas être plus calme, mais proche de tout ! Notre hôte Georgette est très sympathique et chaleureuse et toujours prête à nous aider ou nous donner de bons plans pour les visites et restaurants. Sincèrement, si nous en avons l'occasion, nous reviendrons ! nous recommandons les yeux fermés !
