Private swimming pool and great house

Spacious three bedroom house with high ceilings living room, kitchen island with top appliances such as gas and electric stove, convection and microwave ovens by Sub-Zero Woolf. Modern wet bar and a wine rack.

Each bedroom has Queen size bed with its own WiFi connection. One bedroom has two Queen size beds.

There are two Queen size sleeper sofas. The AC is Nest Smart Control. If your doors are open it will turn AC off and then into Eco mode. Please make sure all doors (front, garage and sliding to exit to the backyard) are closed as soon as you used them.

Outside gas and charcoal grills. Wonderfully landscaped backyard with the swimming pool. The property is totally private.

I recently added two ADT security cameras for external surveillance, one facing the front of the house the other facing the backyard and pool. . Extra $1,500 security deposit is required .

Nice house with pool

Very nice house with a pool. For a fee it is possible to have it heated. Early April it was worth it : our kids had a blast. The house is nice, spacious and clean and the host is very responsive.

Great host - ok property

The host was friendly and responsive. Check-in process was very easy. The house is as it appears online. It was clean, but we did encounter a few roaches in the kitchen (might just be a normal Houston occurrence, and we arrived after the city had major flooding storms). The neighborhood was not great, and we would have felt a little safer with additional locks or deadbolts. The beds and pillows were rather hard and the sheets were paper thin. The towels were very stiff and scratchy.

A spacious home away from home

Home away from home, a warm and spacious house, high ceilings, with a large kitchen counter for gathering and cooking, large windows, a cozy garden with a pool. Very charming and clean house. The host is very responsive to any needs you may have during your stay that are not available. His concern stemming from the past with an overpopulation of occupants and the way they have left the house is charging an extra deposit as you complete the booking. This is to protect his interest for future renters in providing a clean and repaired home. Being mature adults, we felt the deposit unnecessary and inconvenient. The extra deposit was refunded.

Horrible first time experience!

What started off to be a great stay turned really bad. Communication was great until I failed to leave a review. The house was a nice house. You can tell it belonged to someone older because the house smelled really bad that we had to go get smell goods and disinfectant spray. The owner controlled the AC from the conforts of his own home. Furniture was very old and uncomfortable in the living room and the room chairs. After the owner asked for a review two days in a row (Monday 6/17 & Tuesday 6/18) and refused he comes trying to charge me $810 because he said the pool was dirty and a bunch of other things that weren’t even true. We left the house exceptionally clean, inside and out! I highly recommend NOT renting this home because he will try to get over on you.

Family Holiday Get Away

The property was beautiful and spotless. We were very disappointed that the hot tub is not hot, nor is the pool heated. The reason we booked this property was to use these during our stay. I did ask if the pool was open during December before I booked and was told it was. I mistakenly assumed that meant it was heated. We did agree to pay $100 to have them heated, which took almost a full day. We were then informed it would be another $100 to have it heated the next day. Our grandchildren were looking forward to playing in the pool and the adults wanted to use a hot tub. Perhaps when staying in the winter months, you should ask all these questions before booking this property. There were issues with the stove not working, which we got resolved through a phone call with the owner. The steam room did not work, so that was disappointing. The owner tried to resolve the non-working steam room issue but it needed to have a contractor look at it.

Mixed Experience - Clean but Lacking Transparency

We recently stayed at this property for a graduation party and our experience was mixed. Firstly, the security arrangements were inadequate. Both the front door and gate were left unlocked, with just a single key left on the dining table. This left us feeling uneasy about the safety of the property. On the communication front, while the host was responsive to our questions, there was a lack of transparency regarding additional fees. We were only informed of a per person fee for guests after completing the payment for the house, just two days before our event. This lack of upfront clarity felt deceptive, as it should have been communicated during the booking process. Furthermore, the owner's approach to confirming the number of guests for the event was less than satisfactory. Instead of clearly outlining the additional fee at the time of booking, the owner waited until the last minute, engaging in vague questioning rather than straightforward communication. Additionally, the upkeep of the property was lacking, as evidenced by the uncut grass upon our arrival. The interior, while clean, was outdated, and the locked thermostat necessitated reaching out to the host for adjustments. Overall, while the property was clean and the host responsive, the lack of transparency regarding fees and security issues left us with a less than favorable impression. Clearer communication and improved security measures would greatly enhance the guest experience.

We had a great stay! The property owner was friendly and kept in good communication throughout our visit, which made everything smooth and easy. The home was exactly as pictured and absolutely perfect for our needs. The pool was a great temperature and got lots of use during our stay. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to cook, and having a washer and dryer on-site was a big plus. Overall, a very pleasant experience, we’d definitely stay here again!

Beautiful home in a nice, safe neighborhood. Spacious, clean, and the pool…wow!! We were in town for ballgames at Daikin, and chose to uber…very reasonable time and affordability. Other areas we visited were drivable. Alex was the best host. Very responsive and caring for our comfort and enjoyment in the house. 10/10 recommend.

You are only a short drive from great Museum District with Rothko Chapel near by, Theater District with great Alley Theater and Houston Symphony and Ballet Companies, NASA is a bit further but certainly is worth the trip. And of course kids would love Kemah and Galveston with Schlitterbahn and great fun at the sea.
