Located on Trinidad Bay, Luffenholtz Beach Studio is a large fully furnished studio apartment located just steps from beautiful Luffenholtz Beach and the spectacular coastal views from Tepona Point. The scenic and rocky Trinidad coast is one of the most spectacular and pristine segments of the California coast. We invite you to experience the dramatic landscapes of Luffenholtz Beach, explore the tide pools at nearby Baker Beach, or enjoy the dramatic ocean vistas from nearby Houda Point, a popular beach for surfers, painters, and bird watchers. At the end of the day, you can relax at the creek side patio, or enjoy a glass of wine sitting in two Adirondack chairs overlooking Luffenholtz Cove and the Pacific Ocean while enjoying the sunset. Located just 2 miles north is the quaint seaside village of Trinidad, with restaurants, shops, and galleries. The Redwood Coast Airport is less than 10 minutes away. The 642 sq ft studio apartment is very private and is surrounded by lush mature gardens. Located above our garage, it has a queen size bed, cable TV, WiFi, a fully equipped kitchen, and a full bathroom with tub and shower. There is an outdoor deck with views of the forest and two comfortable chairs.

It is always a pleasure to stay at the seaside cottage by Luffenholtz beach.Tom is a wonderful host and his dog Lucy always greets us with a warm welcome. The cottage is perfect for the two of us. The bed in comfortable, the kitchen is very nice and we always have everything we need. The garden is beautiful and there is a perfect spot to watch the sunset over the ocean.

I highly recommend Luffenholtz Beach Studio to anyone who will be staying in the Trinidad area. The location above the Pacific captures the unique beauty of the rugged and rocky coastline. The studio’s big windows, vaulted ceiling and huge skylight fill the studio with light and a sense of being high among the redwoods. The kitchen was well equipped and was provided with my favorite coffee(Peet’s) and a rarity in short stay rentals; sharp knives. The host was very accessible and communicative and is clearly someone who takes pride in his accommodation. This is one of my favorite VRBO accommodations.

The cottage is just across the road from the Luffenholtz beach access. Tom was very friendly and encouraged us to explore their property. The cottage is very private and quiet and next to the main house on the hillside surrounded by beautiful landscaping and plants. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it.

Property was perfect for a relaxing stay with stunning beaches "across the street" and down steep stairs. You can hear the waves from the cottage. And it's a great location for further exploring all the Humboldt coast has to offer, including Redwoods and nature refuges. Host were friendly & helpful. Cottage is a comfortable sanctuary.

The grounds are fantastic! The owners could charge admission just for the flowers. Stand in one place and look at the ocean. Move a few feet and sit in a chair beside a flowing stream. We are repeat visitors for the past 12 years.
