Our 3000 Luxury Chalet is appointed with high end furnishings in every room, including granite counters, heated stone floors and beautiful wood trim, wainscoting and Panoramic Views! Excellent for families. It has 4 Bedrooms including 2 Master Suites with King Beds + 2 additional bedrooms with Queen beds, 3 Baths, 2 Family Rooms, with Pool Table and Electric Dart Board and 2 Decks for your outdoor entertaining + BBQ and Patio Dining. . This great room and deck views are spectacular as the home sits on the east facing ridge of Ski Slope Way perched among the tree tops. In the back yard lies the most extensive trail system including miles upon miles of hiking within Tahoe Donner's magnificent scenery.

A terrific house in a central location, not too far from any of the ski areas in the NE Lake Tahoe area. House was spacious, yet cozy, immaculate, and fully-stocked. Owners were friendly and communicative. Highly recommended.

Family getaway to the snow

Can't speak highly enough of this experience. The property is in an amazing location, close to shops, restaurants and downtown, but away from the traffic and busy areas. The house was perfect for my family of six. Lots of great common space to do things together, but also enough space to spread out and not be on top of one another. Michael was a great host, so communicative and easy to work with. The house had everything we needed for four days of fun. We'll be back!

Came up for our annual Truckee River rafting weekend and had an amazing time! The house was great and had everything we needed. We had trouble connecting to the WiFi and there is no access to the garage to place personal belongings or park your cars. Other than that we loved our stay!

Special house and owners

We owned a house we loved in Tahoe Donner and thus looked very hard to find a really nice property for the Fourth of July Weekend. Michael is a very responsive and considerate owner. The house is extremely well-stocked and has the added benefit of having central air conditioning, which is exceedingly rare in Tahoe Donner. The owners have put a great deal of thought into lots of considerate touches. There are chargers for phones in the bedrooms, really high-quality beds (the master bed is the most comfortable king size bed I have EVER slept on in my life, and since I have a bad back we have spent years trying different high quality beds), weights and yoga mats, and every possible gadget you would want in the kitchen for cooking. As an added bonus, the street was very quiet at night, and the views from the deck are gorgeous. The layout worked really well for us with adult children, and our kids really enjoyed playing billiards at night. Michael has also managed to finagle two guest passes so you have sufficient guest passes for eight people at all the amenities in Tahoe Donner. The house was very clean, and the bathrooms are also quite nice. And we loved the double shower in the master... Don't miss out on this gem!

Great time at this beautiful home!!

I always wonder after I rent a property if the house is going to be as wonderful as it shows in the pictures and description. This house was better than the pictures. The furnishings and decor were just what I would want in a mountain home without being over the top. Just beautiful. The views from the windows and on the deck were perfect! There was room for everyone to spread out in this house. We used the pool table and dart board downstairs, and played lots of cards at the kitchen table. The lighting for cards wasn't that great, BUT it gave the losing team an excuse for losing! The kitchen was beyond well stocked. There was nothing that we needed or wished that we had. A rarity in a rental! Every room had a ceiling fan and made the days and nights very comfortable. The bathrooms were modern and beautiful. Everything about this house was perfect. We hiked the trail behind the house and loved the view. It's an easy hike once you're up the hill, so for those who may struggle with the hill just know that once you get to the top its pretty much flat. We also drove past Donner Lake and then hiked up to the train tunnels, which I feel is a must. Even my 80 year old mom was able to enjoy the tunnels. If you rent this home in the summer go the the concerts in the park (in Truckee). It was a lot of fun with kids running all around and good music. The street fair in Truckee was fun, as well. One of the highlights of the trip was seeing a bear walking in the woods just outside of town. It sat under a tree for a moment and then slowly walked back into the forrest. If you're looking for good pizza go to Zano's in Truckee. We found their service the best in town. Michael was very easy to work with and responded to my texts right away. I'd rent this house again and again. We all felt very comfortable and at home. Loved it!!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home!

This was a beautiful home that we really enjoyed staying in. Michael was very accommodating to resolve any issues we had, and was a spectacular host. It was an extra nice touch to arrive to a nice bottle of wine set out for us! The kids enjoyed having the lower level to themselves to play pool and hang out, and there is plenty of hiking areas right in the back yard! We really had a great time here!

We just bought this as our first vacation home. We have been coming to Tahoe for years as we are avid skiers. We are very excited with this home as we looked for about a year until we found this dream house. This will be our first time renting the home as we have literally been up every weekend since our purchase. As we can't be there every weekend we thought we would rent it out to like minded people. We both live in the bay area. Jessica is a veterinarian and I work in tech.

Why they chose this property

What struck us first with this home were the epic views. As it sits on a ridge, it has extensive views of the mountains and valley. The other thing that really won us over was it cozy factor. At 3,000 square feet it is hard to be both large and cozy yet this place does it. Finally, the finishes on this home are quite decadent while remaining rustic.

What makes this property unique

The great thing about his home is it sits 40 steps from amazing hiking trails throughout Tahoe Donner. Simply pop out the back door and you are off into some great hiking!
