It's a lovely location - super convenient to all things on 6A and bay beaches, but off the main road. Definitely get breakfast at Apt (right at the end of the street) you won't regret it!
We loved our stay at Firdale Cottage. The main living space is wide open and very spacious. Closet and drawer space was more than enough too. Outdoor shower does not have a door so you might want to bring clips to hang a towel for privacy. Location was perfect and we loved Brewster as it was very central to all the beaches we enjoy on the Cape.
The cottage was exactly as described! Walking distance from bay beaches (Breakwater or Point of Rocks), the General Store, and the ice cream shop. Close to the bike trail. The cottage had a huge backyard and everything we needed for a day at the beach, the kitchen was fully stocked, and it was wonderfully comfortable. I recommend the restaurant on the corner (super quiet)!
The cottage was clean, comfortable, & well-appointed.
We would come again to walk the Brewster Flats--low tide, Breakwater to Point of Rocks Beaches close by.
Cottage is located right off the main route 6A . The town of Brewster is beautiful and is located just off the elbow area of the Cape, giving you access to some of the popular towns and tourist sites including great restaurants. The cottage is also located within a 15 to 20 min drive from some of the more popular outer cape beaches.
My wife and I were happy with the cottage and it’s location and had a great stay.
We unfortunately had to cancel our trip due to a medical emergency, however working with the owner was easy and they were more than accommodating. I am looking forward to visiting this property again soon.
My boyfriend and I stayed here for Labor Day weekend. The size and location were perfect for us! Great location on the mid-cape. We enjoyed grabbing takeout breakfast from the restaurant at the end of the street as well!
I had a great stay at this cottage. The location is great for the Brewster area, easy access to Rte 6a. The privacy of the backyard is great, and I loved using the outdoor shower. The cottage is very close to 6a, but the traffic noise was not a problem. Also, it is behind a restaurant (although you can't see it from the house/yard), but the noise from the restaurant was not a problem (I never heard anything from it). It is nice to have a good restaurant you can walk to! The cottage had all the amenities I needed and was very clean. I would definitely return.
What a great little house! While it doesn’t look like much from the outside, this was perfect for our family of 6. Everything was top notch. The AC’s were fantastic, beds super comfortable, multiple TVs, kitchen well equipped and new washer and dryer. We couldn’t have asked for more for the price. Our girls slept in the twin bed room and our 2 boys shared the futon in the family room. Great house for the price. We will stay there again.
We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage centrally located off 6A in Brewster. We had easy access to beaches, restaurants and the rail trail and the cottage was large enough to comfortably accommodate a family of four. The outdoor shower, large yard, cable TV, AC in every room and full dining table and living area were all awesome. We also loved that they had a bath for our little one. The only cons were that we were a little surprised by some of the basics that were missing. We had to run to the store to buy pillow cases, sheets, towels, hand soap and extra toilet paper which I didn’t expect. Generally, past rentals we’ve stayed in had these but that could have been just an oversight/assumption on our part. Thanks for a great stay!

Ants, no towels, no sheets, mothballs
The house seemed unloved. It was overtaken with ants. They were even crawling on the ceiling. There were bottles of bug spray all over the house. So, I’ll assume there was plenty of toxic fumes in the house as well. The house smelled stale. There we no towels. We had to use our beach towels. The beds weren’t made. We finally found old musty sheets in a drawer. We weren’t allowed in until 4:00 PM. We did laundry, then made beds bc the sheets had to be washed. So we left after two days. It wasn’t worth it to stay there any longer. Miserable!

Adorable cottage! The pictures don't do it justice. Well kept, bright and cheery and much roomier than the pictures show. Very clean! Note - linens and towels are not provided but I had confirmed this prior to with the property owner. Great location!! We definitely recommend!
Great spot for parents and kids, close to Brewster town and the beach.
Big yard, garage with beach chairs and grill, perfect for a visit to the Cape, especially if its hot. A/C worked great. 10 min bike ride to anything you want to see in and around Brewster, as well as CC Rail Trail. Thanks so much!
This is a lovely house that ended up being the perfect size and location for our family (2 adults, 3 children). It was one of the first weeks post-reopening, so I did some extra cleaning after arrival, but it was overall quite clean and extremely well-organized. The closest beach was slightly disappointing because the public part is very small and the waterfront is grassy (excellent tide pools, but can't wade out into the water that easily). That being said, it is a very short drive to many other great beaches. We enjoyed our stay and would be glad to return in the future!
Our stay met all our needs. I planned a vacation for the whole family to be together. My daughter lives in Harwich but didn't have enough room to accommodate 11 people. We were only five minutes away from her which was great.
I would come again if we needed extra space.

We have stayed at this property many times, the last time being 5 years ago. The location is outstanding: close to a bay beach, the rail trail, houses of worship and both casual and fine dining.
Not much has changed since we last visited, which was both comforting and left us wishing some minor fixes (such as an ant problem and a kitchen trash can whose lid did not open when you stepped on it) were addressed prior to our arrival. Particularly as the weekly rental cost had increased significantly in those 5 years.
Speaking of arrival, the owner informed us we could check in prior to the published time (as the house was vacant.) This was a wonderful benefit and got our vacation off to a great start.
We used this as an overflow rental for 4 family members to sleep who accessed beach and spent days and evenings away from this property at the nearby family home with other guests, thus I can't comment on beach access from this rental. The house is charming, nicely decorated, neatly landscaped, immaculate, and turn key ready. Fully equipped kitchen and lots of information about the area, many books and videos. In my opinion the photos provided here don't do it justice. Owner was very responsive to my many questions when booking and the property manager dropped off an extra key immediately after I called to ask for one the day we arrived. Comfortable beds and quiet. It is close to road 6A with a great breakfast/coffee place on the corner and easy walking or biking on sidewalk or the cape bike rail trail you can pick up very nearby. Driveway parking for multiple cars.
We found the water pressure in the shower and sinks to be just fine. We recommend this rental!
Plusses:
- Good for the price, and your neighbor is a great breakfast spot so you might not bother to buy eggs and coffee at the grocery store
- walk to great seafood restaurant
- close to bayside beaches, big yard and driveway
- roomy open flowing living area / kitchen
- lots of places to sit, futon and big dinner table
- instructions for everything clear as could be
Minuses:
- low water pressure
- no linens provided
- Only one "grown up" bedroom
- no towels
