Casa Azzopardi is a newly renovated traditional house of character situated in an urban conservation area in Rabat, a town which is situated just outside the old capital city of Malta, Mdina. It is strategically located just 300m away from Mdina gate and 150m from the bus terminus, with various places of interest and excellent restaurants in its immediate vicinity. A spectacular view of Mdina can be clearly seen from the accommodation’s upper room terrace. This accommodation is idyllic for customers who want a lavish experience of beautiful Maltese traditions.
Mamma Mari (Guest Room 2) is also equipped with tea and coffee facilities, private bathroom, flat TV, free WiFi access and AC unit. In this room, one can enjoy a quiet bottle of wine or hot beverage (depends on your tastes) in a traditional closed Maltese balcony overlooking the historical St. Paul Street below.
During the renovation process, we, together with a number of gifted local craftsmen, have done our utmost to preserve and respect the original features of this 250 year old house. We have also worked hard to enhance its various Maltese characteristics, such as making use of traditional floor tiles, woodwork, door knobs, stained glass and iron casting. The house boasts an infusion of the traditional with the modern, being also fully equipped with various modern high-end commodities, endeavouring to make the stay a very unique and memorable one.
