Quaint ground floor guest house in historic Beaufort, NC.

Enjoy the charming atmosphere of this one-bedroom carriage house nestled on the prettiest street in Beaufort. This cozy apartment is a separate structure on the property of the historic John Rumley House, circa 1854. Sit on the patio under the canopy of a pecan tree, meander past the beautifully restored pre-revolutionary and antebellum homes, or take a short stroll to the waterfront. No need for a car as this location is within a leisurely walk to all areas in downtown Beaufort. This includes the ferries that will take you to Carrot Island, Shackleford Banks and Cape Lookout. No need to bother with downtown parking meters.
Inside the house there is an open living-kitchen area with one bedroom and a full bathroom. There are no stairs to navigate on this property, and beautiful tile floors make for easy transitions.
The master has a queen-size bed with exquisite all cotton bedding and ample dresser and closet space. A full bath comes complete with all cotton towels and and assortment of toiletries for your convenience. A full-size pull-out, in the living area, can accommodate one or two more guests.
A fully stocked kitchen will enable easy meal times or, if you rather, refer to the guest information book to choose a restaurant downtown. If you like to grill, there are several, including a smoker, at your disposal. An outside patio with chairs, umbrella, and cafe lights set the scene for your outdoor enjoyment.
Both on and off street parking is available.
Beach chairs can be made available for use.

Perfect Beaufort Getaway

Such a hidden gem. We loved our stay at this little cottage. It was clean, comfortable and surprisingly big enough for our family of 4 for the long weekend trip. If you love the historic homes of Beaufort, you will love the location of this property.

Fun in Beaufort

This property was very nice and clean. We enjoyed the outdoors also with all the cooking grills and all the lawn furniture ,the sun and the shade and it was very nice indoors with the huge sliding glass doors. It made the room feel larger than it actually was ,it was a learning experience also ,someone had the heat on so I had to learn to use the digital thermostat ,but it worked well after we figured it out ,lol lol ,will stay again ,also was a quiet ,peaceful neighborhood !

Cozy guest home in historic Beaufort!

Jim was an excellent host and allowed me to check-in a little early. I love Beaufort, NC and so the location was super convenient for walking around Beaufort. The guest house itself is ideal for single people or couples and the interior design screams coastal living! I would recommend this rental to anyone and plan to stay again next time I’m in the area.
