Maple Pond offers you the feeling of total privacy—while only a 7-minute drive from

New for winter 2025/2026- 4 person barrel sauna.

With 4 bedrooms split between 2 floors and an additional guest cottage available
should you need it, your large group will have plenty of space to unpack, unwind,
and spread out.

FROM GRANDPARENTS TO TODDLERS, THERE'S SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE.

Whether it’s Grandpa teaching his teenaged grandson to unhook a fish in 3 seconds

Q: What is there to do around town?
A: We are minutes away from Dover, New Philadelphia, and Ohio’s largest Amish
community. Nearby attractions include:
- Historic Zoar Village, Fort Laurens, and The Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail
- Zoar Village Golf Course
- The Pro Football Hall of Fame (25 min drive to Canton)

Q: What about COVID?
A: We are taking extra precautions to keep our properties disinfected, which
includes the use of disinfectant on all door knobs, light switches, railings, faucet
handles, etc—in addition to all high-use areas.

Q: What about the guest cabin?
A: For groups larger than 14, the separate guest Cabin (sleeps 6) is available for an
additional nightly cost ($200/night). It comes with all the amenities:
- Large living room and fully stocked, eat-in kitchen
- Clothes washer & dryer
- Dishwasher
- Brand new electric AC and furnace
- Well water (though it’s perfectly fine to drink, it may have a different smell/taste
than you’d expect if you’re used to City Water)
- Located on the water

Q: Is it pet friendly?
A: Well behaved pets are welcome with well behaved owners. Pets do need to be
pre-approved and there is an additional $100/per pet fee.

This is an ideal place for a family gathering or a reunion. We had a wedding at the nearby Magnolia Spring Farms. The property has everything you need and more. It's beautifully decorated and has high-quality finishes and decorations. We were there in early fall, a couple of weeks from the leaves changing, and it was nice. This place is great for year-round stays. Would definitely stay there again and recommend the host. Highly communicative and fulfilled everything as promised.

From the house to the property to the host, everything was excellent. Rose has put in so many different little touches that makes your stay at her property absolutely unforgettable, it is difficult to mention them all. Great experience for both kids and adults.

We had a great experience and would definitely return. Our kids had a great time fishing in the pond and riding in the canoe. Everything provided by the owners was so helpful and thoughtful. The Cottage was very comfortable there was more than enough room for my family of 20, the kitchen was well stocked, Cottage was very clean well equipped with something for everyone to do.

Our stay at the cottage at Maple pond exceeded all expectations!

We used the house as a retreat for our Youth Group. Our experience was amazing. The amenities were endless from canoes, kayaks, floats, life jackets, fishing rods along with bait. The pond was beautiful with a blue tint and a an aeration system.The kids spent countless hrs. in the game room. We had our worship and devotion by the fire pit at night. The kitchen was well equipped and beds were made upon our arrival. We were surprised at check out with a special gift from Rose. She even provided us with a kit for making s’mores. I can not emphasize enough how pleased we were and would recommend this for families that include all ages.

Awesome bachelor party

From the moment I booked the property for our bachelor party group, I knew right away it was the right decision! Rose was very helpful and we had several great conversations leading up to our trip! We wanted a nice quiet cabin to hangout, fish and bond! The property was amazing, the fishing was great and saw plenty of wildlife. It was very close to the golf course and close enough to town. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone that wants to get away and relax in a gorgeous cabin with plenty of room!

Incredible Property

We had an amazing 4th of July weekend at this location. There were 16 of us including teenagers and senior citizens with many in between. Everyone was thoroughly impressed with the property which included ample space, numerous activity options, and pristine amenities. We also reserved the guesthouse and the kids enjoyed having their own spot. Rose was a delight to work with and handled every detail to make it a wonderful experience. If you looking for a house to accommodate a large group this is your property!

Best Family Fall Trip Ever!!

We have stayed at a lot of places over the years but this place far exceeded expectations! From the property setting to the amenities, the extras, the adds on, the decor and top notch host, this place was everything and more. We fished, kayaked, swam (burr!), had game night, ate together (14 around 1 table!!!), had fires and made smores :), had game night, girls night/guys night, studied the Bible in the morning while the sun came up looking over the lake, slept comfortably, zipped, swung, and hiked all on one great property! We felt like we were home right away with the great greetings form Rose and the only thing that would have made this trip and time better was just that, more time here. We will come back and recommenced it to all!! Thanks Rose!!!

Absolutely Wonderful!

My family and I stayed here for a few days to celebrate Christmas. The house was gorgeous! The layout was perfect for our large group with plenty of room for everyone. We rented the guest cottage as well, and used it primarily for sleeping as the main house was really roomy. Both the main house and the guest house had everything we could possibly need to enjoy a carefree vacation. Rose was very responsive when we had a power outage and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be booking this house again in the future!

This property and the owner were amazing!! Pet friendly, clean, new, superbly decorated....our whole family felt so relaxed and comfortable. Rose left us so many special touches for our family of 12! Cookies and lollipops.... popsicles and pops...and a variety of coffees and teas for us adults! Fun Fun Fun for everyone!!! Please book this amazing getaway!!! You will be so glad you did!!! Just Wow!!

From beginning to end, my friends and me were amazed. This is our 6th ladies weekend, but the first time here. We have never had such better service or a beautiful clean place like this one. Rose is very responsive to any questions. The place cottage was a little further from the house than expected and only had one bathroom, but the place was super cute and we made it work. We just loved the cute touches like the coffe/tea bar that was stocked! And all the essentials were there!

There were 17 of our family members there. Ranging in age from 5 to 90. We ALL had a wonderful time. Everything we needed was there, including nice fresh cookies. The kids loved the all the water “stuff” - kayaks, canoe, fishing equipment. The fire pit area was such a great place to unwind and reconnect. Lots of us took advantage of the hot tub. Everything was clean. Lots of towels! So much to do to keep everyone busy having fun. The zip line was a big hit! We’ll be back!

House for out of town family for wedding

My husband and I rented this house for us and our families to stay for our daughter’s wedding.This was one of the best rentals I have ever had. It was beyond expectations. There wasn’t anything the owner had not thought of having available as an amenity. The interior was beautiful and warmly decorated for the fall. The outside was incredible. Beautiful deck, yard, lake with swimming dock and fire pit. Unfortunately not the time of year for water sports but perfect for fires and hot tub. Loved everything to do in the game room. The guest house was just as great. Definitely want to come back when the weather is warmer. Highly recommend.

Family adventure

From the driving directions Rose provided for our family to get to the Cottage, to the special surprise provided at the end of our stay, the weekend could not have been any better or more enjoyable for all.While the cottage was described beautifully online, we found it to be so much more when we arrived. Simply breathtaking... Pleanty of space for our family of 8 ( 1 on the way) to relax and not be crawling over each other when we wanted a little quiet space, but so beautifully decorated with pleanty of open space for our family to gather for games & late christmas celebration. The cottage was still decorated with simply beautiful christmas decorations, and special treats and a gift was waiting for us when we arrived. From getting up early for a little coffee & quiet time while others got to sleep in, to walks down by the pond & on the wooded trails, to a campfire @ night, this was a family trip made in heaven, and made possible by our new friends who provided the cottage @ maple pond. With part of our family located on the west coast not being able to travel home to Ohio until begining of the year, I believe we've now found our "forever" home for our future "christmas in January" celebrations for years to come. Thank you so much to Rose and your family for such a beautiful weekend! were perfemembers the drive seemlessly.
