Relaxing

We really enjoyed our stay, the rental We were in is a little outdated, the gas fireplace wasn’t working when we got there, the beds are NOT comfortable at all ended up sleeping on couch. The TV Is VERY SMALL, the hot tub is VERY outdated more like a soaker tub only 4 jets and the cover takes two people to take off and no privacy as there’s a two story next to you. Overall Sunriver resort is so quiet and relaxing.

Old beds, odd furniture height (low) not all that comfortable Hot Tub enclosure too small to easily remove cover. Towels we nice however COVID with little respect by other guests at village. Too much smoke to spend time outside

Great location just a short walk from the village. There are a few freight trains that run on the track behind the house, but they don't blow the whistle and all you hear is the rumbling sound of the train. It wasn't annoying or super loud. If you are looking for an upscale house, this isn't it. The finishes and furnishings are a bit dated, but are in great condition and were totally fine for us. It is well maintained and very clean. We had everything we needed. Plenty of linens including beach towels for the SHARC pool and lots of extra blankets and pillows in the closets. You won't find coffee, extra food or condiments left from previous vacationers in the kitchen cupboards or fridge. There are a few basic spices but that's it. The kitchen is well-equipped though. Plenty of dishes, cups, glasses. utensils and small appliances. The only thing about the kitchen is that the fridge makes occasional strange noises -- perhaps the ice maker (?). So if someone is going to sleep on the sofa bed in the living room, that might be annoying. We brought our dog along and this place works great for a pet. If you are going to ride bikes, bring your own helmet. Those provided are in very rough shape. We would stay here again if we return to Sunriver.

I really wanted to LOVE this property based on it's location and amenities!

This is truly a great home and there is SO much potential to be an amazing ALWAYS ON DEMAND property. After checking in the first night (after a 4-5 hour drive), I was simply hoping to relax, enjoy a warm fire and a dip into the hot tub. Unfortunately, when I turned on the fireplace, the fan was SO SO SO loud, I immediately called the for help. I turned the fan off but the noise persisted for another 20 minutes. I recorded video and would be happy to share. Technicians came the next day and dismantled the blower and fan (which is the function that distributes heat). So, I had to leave the heat on the entire time). Hopefully, this is addressed. For any family with young children, I would be concerned. There is no doubt that this family upgraded the floors. However, the transition height between the dining, family into the kitchen is pretty steep. EVERY time I walked into the kitchen, I tripped or stubbed by toes. And as mother of an active toddler and one one who has already tripped and rammed his face into a corner of a piece of furniture, I thought about this and would deliver FAIR warning. If I was aware of this prior to renting, I would not do it. If this was the ONLY property in its location with a hot tub, you can't go wrong. I think there just needs a bit of tender loving care (with a lot of safety considerations), and updating.

One of the bedroom bedspread was covered in animal fur, we washed it when we arrived. We would recommend having the fireplace fan replaced as it is VERY noisy. (Can't hear the TV) also speaking of TVs it time to upgrade to a large flat panel TV in at least the living room! The small old tv that is currently there you can barely see from the distant seating positions. A kuerig in the kitchen would be awesome 👍. We had a great time!

Beautiful Home

My husband and I wanted to visit Sunriver and Bend, and this home was perfect! We really enjoyed the woodsy vibe and the fact that the home had a full kitchen to use. There is also a full garage where you can store your snowboards or kayaks. The home also came with a hot tub that was the perfect way to end every night! The only cons were that the beds are really uncomfortable and the DVD player didn't work. Also, I'm highly sensitive to laundry detergents and the one used to wash the sheets had a strong fragrance and irritated my skin. If you have similar sensitivities, then I would see if the property managers can use a different detergent. Overall, we had a great stay!

Some good things, some things could be better

In general, this was a nice place to stay. We are very familiar with the location and that it was pet friendly was great. We had a good trip, but some things could be better. First, let's review what was good: the bathrooms and kitchen were well stocked with basic supplies that were useful (paper towels, TP, soap...). There were plenty of extra blankets and pillows if we needed them. I appreciated that there was not a lot of clutter or knick knacks around, so there was plenty of room for our stuff. What was not so good was: kind of an overall "tired" appearance of the house inside. The lighting was poor and we needed to have almost all the kitchen/dining/and living room lights on all day to be able to do anything other than watch TV. The sinks (bathrooms and kitchens) are in need of being replaced; they are functional, but chipped and rusty, again adding to that tired feel. The towel bar in the bathroom that attached to the shower door, fell off twice during our stay. I found a few large cobwebs in the room corners, the kind that had been there for awhile, not the small ones that appear overnight. The toaster only toasts one side of the bread, making it a process to get a piece of toast in the morning. Interestingly, the listing says the house will sleep 6, but there were only 6 forks and knives in the kitchen. A few more would be appreciated. The stove is old and not consistent with heating. There are 5 bikes in the garage, but one had the front wheel off and lying aside, one had a flat tire, and one multispeed bike did not change gears. The bikes were not listed in the amenities section of the listing, but if they are going to be there, they should be functional. I also feel that the owner could improve the listing by including what amenities are provided. From the current listing I saw there was a dryer, but no mention of a washer. The listing did not include the barbecue grill, the bicycles, DVD player....things that might make the listing more popular. Most surprising is the listing and our confirmation said it was a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom house, but there are 2 bathrooms. That is important information to make sure it is accurate. Overall, I had a good time, and might stay there again if there was nothing better available. We like the small houses and many Sunriver listings sleep 12+, we feel fortunate to find a smaller house. I would prefer a house that does not seem neglected or not cared about.

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Ugh! Pictures DO NOT tell the entire story. Where to start... overall I would NOT stay at this property again! It’s in desperate need of a little TLC. The entrance has uneven concrete coming up to the front door. Please be careful!The kitchen layout is horrible. The way the the fridge is positioned prohibits the use of counter space. The walls are filthy. Beds are horrible! We found a ****** baby diaper under the couch! Very small deck, unfortunately it’s positioned between homes so although the neighbors has a fence up, it’s not very private. The tv in the living room is the size of a small monitor, tucked in a cubby hole. Flooring is separating. The house is very dark even with all the shades open, you still need the lights on. The blinds in the bedroom were broken, so we could not close the blinds all the way and as soon as the sun came up it shines directly on the bed (your head). We stayed 5 nights with a pet and it cost just under $2200. Way too much for this house! I’ve stayed in much nicer homes for less. The location is close to the village, which is good if you like the village. However, I was not aware we would have a train in our backyard, which came through 2-3 times a night. Bottom line, I would not stay here again.

The comments about the uneven concrete at the front door has been corrected by maintenance as well at the flooring and blinds have been repaired. This should not have been overlooked. We have reached out to the owner to advise him that the TV needs to be updated as well. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pros: Location is great, quick walk to the sunriver mall & grocery store. Hot tub was clean/nice. Overall quality of the house was decent. It was fine, and comfortable. I liked that it had a garage; overall layout was great; luxury vinyl plank flooring in main area was nice to have.Cons: Someone smoked in the rental before us. Prop. mgmt did say they would try to move us if we wanted but we opened windows and just dealt with it. Some kitchen tools were pretty worn and limited in selection but overall we were able to make the meals we wanted. Floors got our feet dirty fast...they need a thorough mopping. We definitely noticed a few late night trains coming through. Also... whoever installed the LVP floors needs some training :)

Although we knew this was a pet friendly property, we could smell urine. Obvious that pets had accidents in the past. White comforter had stains. We will before careful renting places that are pet free. Might think about updating mattresses on beds or adding memory foam. Whoa, needed the hot tub for sure when we got up in the am. On a positive note, very close to several great eateries. Our favs being Sintra Cafe for breakfast and village bar and grill for dinner! Great service, fast food and delish! All amenities as described in house.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House was great! Kitchen well equipped with appliances/pot/pans (although could use some additional silverware). Nice, new flooring (vs. carpet) meant no pet smell. Comfortable bedrooms and spacious open great room. Comfortable walking distance to Village and backs to expansive forest where kids explored.
