The biosphere reserve of Sian Kaan is a UNESCO World heritage site and it s home to over 330 species of birds and other animals as well as sea turtles, manatees and hundreds of other animals. It is also a great place to explore ancient Mayan canals, lagoons and the rich coral barrier reef just a few hundred meters away from Casa Nalum.
