We provide firewood bundles onsite for a small fee, but you are welcome to bring your own! Except during County wide Burn Ban May 15 - Sept 30.

This place is truly magical and is the PERFECT staycation / vacation getaway! There is big country but little cell reception so please plan accordingly. No fear though, we have Wifi available on the property if you want to look up some fun activities, places to go or send out a few emails.

Great place

nice quiet place to stay, the deck on the river was very relaxing, older but very cool and clean, make sure and check out the steakhouse and sage coffee, the steakhouse served a $40.00 filet that was absolutely fabulous! the coffe shop had great food and a very nice owner. the communication with the owner was great, they responded quickly to some last minte request! We will be back!

Much needed R&R

My friend and stayed in suite 4. It was cozy, clean, well equipped and well decorated. Guy, the host, was friendly, attentive and helpful in guiding us toward some local sights and activities. We ended up staying another night because we were enjoying ourselves! The deck overlooking the river was the selling point for us. So relaxing. I enjoyed the wildlife as well. Great place and nice trip.

Great little low-key hangout spot with river view.

We enjoyed staying right on the river and doing a tube float. It's not easy to find a pet-friendly place on the water, and our dog enjoyed her stay, too. The property managers were very helpful and the rooms had well-equipped full kitchens! The place is still up-and-coming and we think will be even better in a couple of years when they finish some cosmetic jobs. But if you want a low-key spot with a big patio right on the river this place is all that. Thank you!

Escape

We had a wonderful weekend escape to the canyon. You can stay in the river canyon or easily drive to the gorge. Nice quiet friendly town. Small but fit our needs studio. Hope to come back and spend more time relaxing on the deck.

Peaceful times

Just a small slice of paradise. Beautiful deck to sit on and cast your cares away to the flowing river. Comfortable suite with all you need. Wonderful stay. Will be back again.

Hidden gem on the river

A wonderful property right on the water with a beautiful setup - there is a lovely pergola complete with gas and wood fire pits, shaded and open seating overlooking the water, grilling and more. The unit was very well stocked and the bed was comfortable, we would absolutely come again!

Beautiful river view

We had a great time at the Klickitat River Inn! The hosts were super friendly and everything was clean, easy, and relaxing. The unit is on the second floor which overlooks the gorgeous river. It was great to come back to a lovely air-conditioned room with a comfy bed after exploring all day. This whole region is super beautiful and we enjoyed swimming, trail walks, and spending time in Hood River. We learned that you can do a lazy river float here and the store in Klickitat can arrange a pickup for you! In the evenings we really enjoyed the outdoor sitting/lounge area to listen to the river and watch the sunset on the hills.

Wonderful!

Beautiful location! Unit was great - had everything we needed for our stay and more. The outside area is wonderful - great view, grill, games and plenty of seating to relax. We can’t wait to go back and bring friends!

Perfect location! Serene, quiet and clean.

I will return for sure. Drift boats going by, local kids swimming off the rocks, tucked away in a quiet neighborhood.....a real Norman Rockwell small town escape. I am a 24/7 caregiver for my husband and sometimes the stress level is high. Once in awhile I try to get away for a couple of days. So happy I discovered this gem. Friendly staff and everything you need. I couldn’t tell from photos that the unit I chose was on the 2nd floor. Great view, but stairs are difficult for me....but worth the climb!

As of May 2018, Klickitat River Inn has new ownership and will be ran by Linda and Lindsay. This mother daughter duo are excited to provide amazing experiences for those who like to soak up nature and escape the busyness of life.

It has been a dream of Linda’s to have something she could run close to home. When she found out her daughter Lindsay had decided to move back to Washington State after many years,  she was so excited to have an adventure to share with her. Linda and Lindsay are co-managers of the Inn.

Lindsay has always had a passion for Hospitality and has experience working in many different faucets of the industry in Sonoma County, from Wineries to Catering. Moving back to Washington State has given her the opportunity to put her passion and experience to good use by working with her mom to provide an amazing River Getaway experience at the Klickitat River Inn.

Together they hope to provide their customers with a one-of-a-kind vacation to remember!

Why they chose this property

Our property is nestled along the Klickitat River in the little town of Klickitat, Washington. The Inn was built in 1935 but has since been renovated with great modern updates that allow you to feel at home while escaping the busy working life. Klickitat River Inn has multiple accommodations and each one is special in their own way. As of now, we offer an amazing Main House and 2 Studio Suites with 2 more on the way. The property has an enchanting yard and patio areas that soak up great shade for those hot days, direct access to the river and lush greenery that enhance the amazing water views.

What makes this property unique

Having the river right in your backyard is truly amazing. There are so many great views from inside the house, so when you come outdoors it is enchanting. We provide plenty of patio and yard seating so that you can just enjoy the soothing sounds of the river and decompress! An experience you don't want to miss out on :)
