About this property

Two 2 bedroom cabin w/AC on Big St Germain Lake

Deer Ridge is located in the great northwoods of Wisconsin! This area provides YEAR-ROUND activities for the entire family. Deer Ridge has been completely renovated and sits on the shore of Big St Germain Lake. It is nestled among 100 year old pines. The shoreline is sandy, shallow and excellent for swimming.

Big St Germain Lake is a 1600 acre Class 'A' Musky lake. It also offers many other species of fish (panfish, small and large mouth bass, northern pike, crappie and others). A new 14' jon fishing boat is included. In addition, Deer Ridge shares access to 2 kayaks, a canoe and a row boat. Pontoon rentals are also available nearby as well as jet skis from the local marina!

Deer Ridge is only minutes away from a variety of the Northwood's best hiking and biking trails, including the new paved St Germain Bike Trail with its gentle terrain. Awassa Nature Preserve Trail and Fern Ridge Hiking Trail are close by. Golf, horseback riding, shopping, dining, and much more are available year-round.

St Germain's winter wonderland offers ice fishing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing on the nearby trails and snowmobiling. The scenic Bo-Boen snowmobile trail is adjacent to the cabin.

Deer Ridge has a knotty pine interior with comfortable sofa, rocking chair and leather chair. A table and 4 chairs shares a corner of the living room. The TV is wall mounted above the fireplace. The cabin sleeps up to 5 people. The galley kitchen is fully equipped (don't forget to bring your own food!). There are two bedrooms, with a queen and twin in the master and two additional twin beds in the second bedroom. The queen bedroom features a sink or wash basin in addition to the bathroom with a single stand up shower.

If you need just a bit more space, know that there are cabins nearby to accommodate any size family! Just ask us!

Perfect weekend getaway

The cabin was great and was as advertised. The size, sleeping arrangements, layout, etc was perfect for the two of us. The cabin was small, but cozy, and you easily could sleep 4 without feeling crowded. Might be a bit tight with more than 4. Location was perfect on Big Saint. Cabin was slightly set back from the water and the dedicated pier was nice. The grounds were clean and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay despite the weather not being great.

Cozy Getaway

The stay at the cabin was cozy and comfortable. Location is great for staying in and quiet or heading into St Germain or neighboring towns for some activities. The cabin was as expected for a cabin in the North Woods, nothing fancy but functional. Shower is super small so bigger people may have a challenge. Also, we didn’t realize that bath towels were not included in the stay but the host was able to provide the morning after our arrival. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay and we would recommend it.

I booked a week at this cabin, and was highly impressed both with the accommodation and with the property manager. Great communication, reasonable price compared to similar cottages in the area, very nice property both inside and out, ideal location to venture in all directions, and excellent extras with free wifi and streaming for the rainy days and use of kayaks, a firepit and grill for the sunny days. Would absolutely stay here again.

Deer Haven for sure!

We had a wonderful time at this cabin. Late summer fishing was not very good, but having the deer visit us every morning and evening was so cool. We feed them the recommended cracked corn and really enjoyed the visits! Thank you for the suggestion!

Every morning we would wake up to deer around our cabin and a beautiful view of the lake from our little patio . Had fun kayaking,playing games and reading books catching up on much needed RNR . Great time .

Great location; right on the water! Cabin very well-maintained and cozy. Beds very comfortable. Boat ramp very close; but should have a steeper drop-off. Need to bring your own spices, baking/cooking supplies, but otherwise they have what you need. Would most certainly stay here again!

Nice and cozy cabin

While on our way to the cabin, Deb reached out to say the wood-burning fireplace needed repair and we wouldn’t be able to use it. The fireplace was a big reason we selected this property. Thankfully, Deb was very helpful and fortunately, the sister cabin next door was available with a gas fireplace. The location is great! The cabin was comfortable and the scenery was amazing. It was a blustery, chilly weekend and it was nice to have the fireplace and enjoy the views with fresh fallen snow.
