Great apartment especially for a family

This is a spacious apartment with a very helpful, welcoming host. The apartment is so well equipped and furnished that it does feel like a home from home. In the apartment there is a lovely family area with a large balcony and there are two good sized bedrooms. Thierry and Francoise gave us lots of information about Avignon including practical things like the bus, nearby supermarkets etc. Our hosts also picked us up from the station and on the last day took us to the TGV station. We were sad to go. The apartment is in a quiet area just 15 minutes by bus from the historic old city. We mainly shopped in the old city. We caught a number 2 bus right outside the building to the train station most days and its at the gates of the old city. We had a week in Avignon and used it as a base for trains to Arles and Nimes. Both are worth a full day visit. Avignon also has medieval sites and in July an arts festival, so a meal anywhere was likely to be serenaded or diverted by festival acts advertising their shows. I would highly recommend the apartment, our host and Avignon.

Lovely property close to town centre

My wife and I really enjoyed staying at this property as it was in a good position near the TGV station and easy to get to the town center by a no 2 bus at the gate. The owner and his partner made us feel at home and gave us all the info we needed. Despite arriving late at 11pm due to the train strike they picked us up at the station and took us back at the end of our stay. The flat was lovely, nice and clean and was equipped with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. It would be good for a family holiday too.The lift was also a big plus for easy access.

Beautiful apartment with all conveniences. Regular Bus service apartment complex to Avignon centre

This property has every convenience you can think of and more. It is a beautifully furnished apartment with a spacious balcony overlooking a small park. It is 10 minutes to Avignon centre by bus No. 2 (this is also the stop for the bus and train station) and there is a very regular service just a stones throw from the appartment. Thierry kindly picked us up from the railway station and brought us back again. Thank you Thierry it was lovely to meet you and Francoise. There is a supermarket a couple of stops away on the bus although we found it as convenient to get our shopping in the carrefour in the main street in Avignon before we returned to the apartment in the evening. We had planned to hire a car however we found there was no need as the train and bus service from Avignon is excellent. We visited St. Remy de Provence (not to be missed if you are a Van Gough fan) and Arles. We found that Avignon had enough to offer for the rest of our stay (10 days in total). Vieux de Villeneuve brocante market is a must to visit even if you don't purchase anything you will enjoy the experience roaming about the stalls, and the food, wine, music, very French. Avignon has beautiful walks along the river and canal, or you can just laze on the bank of the river with a picnic watching the world go by. Enjoy the view over the river Rhone from Rocher des Doms where there is a pretty park to cool down and enjoy lunch or a coffee or a glass of wine. Avignon centre is a small beautiful city steeped in history with plenty of squares to sit and eat, while resting between visits to museums, churches and dare I say it shops of all kinds. It is a friendly comfortable city to spend time in and I would certainly return and stay in Thierry's apartment which was home from home.

Avignon - Les Muriers - c'est magnifique

Lovely spacious, clean apartment. Felt like home. The air con was very welcome since the temperature was hitting the high 30s. Wifi was a bonus. The owners couldn't have been more generous, we arrived by train late in the evening but they picked us up at the station and dropped us off again when we left. They explained about the festival in Avignon, where to find the shops, bus routes, tourist attractions and we had some good Franglais conversations!

EXCELLENTE ADRESSE à recommander vivement !

Très bon rapport qualité/prix ...Appartement spacieux très propre ,calme, 2 grandes chambres; équipement cuisine complet de bonne qualité ( lave-linge ,lave vaisselle...)ascenseur ,parking sécurisé , bus devant la résidence ou 20mn à pied pour le centre ville . Accueil par des personnes très sympathiques , à l'écoute des besoins , serviables , tout en restant très discrètes. Un sans faute !!!

Brilliant

The owners were very friendly and really helpful. The apartment was lovely and clean. Access to Avignon was really easy as the No 2 bus stop is situated outside the apartment and this bus takes you to the centre.
