This is a place for nature enthusiasts and animal lovers who treasure tranquility, but also like being minutes from the quaint towns of Santa Ynez, Los Olivos, and Solvang. Come to the SYV, we welcome you!

Quiet and comfortable cottage in a lovely setting

As advertised, the cottage is indeed secluded. The property is set back in the rolling hills amongst coveys of quail, ground squirrels, and the occasional cow. We enjoyed our stay.

We loved this beautiful cottage on a peaceful and beautiful ranch. It was very comfortable, clean, and had all you need to feel at home. Highly recommend for anyone looking to disconnect from city life and enjoy a peaceful and very enjoyable place.

Incredibly beautiful property

We were blissed out pretty much the entire time. Santa Ynez and the 4 other towns making up the Santa Ynez Valley are all close together and short drives from this cottage. With so much to discover, it would be difficult not to have a fabulous time, but talking to Melani added many details which helped greatly in getting oriented. Generally I don't stay in the same property or hotel more than once because I crave new experiences, but this one is an exception - we can't wait to go back.

A home on the range

This cozy cottage checked off all the boxes on our list and then some. In a beautiful and private part of town. Perfect for our family to enjoy some down time and nature. The guest house itself was great. Enjoyed daily walks, a few bike rides, and some outdoor time on the property. Couldn't have had better hosts. Went out of their way to make us feel very welcome, and great communication when we needed it. We really enjoyed our stay. Our daughter really had fun interacting with the animals, and giving them some treats...I think they liked it too. We left feeling relaxed, and recharged, which is exactly what we came for.

Quiet country getaway

Melani was great to work with, very prompt in our communications and she provided great detail on the location of their cottage and all pertinent information for our trip. Location is lovely, very quiet place in the country. Would recommend this place for anyone interested in visiting wine country or just some time to relax and enjoy the quiet serenity of the countryside.

Quintessential wine country

Everything was exactly as expected in the unit and the hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly. We shared a glass of wine with them and even came away with some farm fresh eggs. Delightful!

Lovely ranch cottage

We were looking for more of a ranch experience and loved staying here. It was so beautifully quiet at night. The cottage was comfortable and was a great home base for the things we did around the area. Melani was easy to reach when needed and was very helpful and kind. We will definitely be back here again.

LOVELY!

Off the beaten path and yet close to everything! Melani was a wonderful host and provided a notebook with suggestions for things to do and places to eat. We enjoyed the pastries in Solvang, wine tasting at Roblar, hiking Grass Mountain and exploring the area on foot and by car. The cottage was cute, clean and very comfortable for three of us. Nice outdoor area to enjoy morning coffee or evening wine. Simply lovely!!

Amazing time on the ranch...

The cottage could not have been more perfect. Great and clean space for 4 of us that had planned a wine tasting trip. Along with comfortable bed, large, comfortable living room area, and a kitchen available it's a very beautiful and serene place with views that make you feel relaxed! Highly recommend.
