Nested in the beautiful valley of Vassamia, Spiti Anita offers breathtaking views of the Aegean mountains and sea. Ideally located 5' by car from the port of Gavrion and a 15' walk from the magnificent bay of Fellos, this is the perfect place for couples looking for a romantic getaway, or small families to adopt as their summer home.

Spiti Anita consists of two adjacent homes on a large private property: the main Farmhouse – where Anita lives all year round – and the newly renovated, adjacent Cave.

Facilities:
The Cave is a beautiful, private annex consisting of one master and one double room, bathroom and kitchenette, with outdoor seating (sunset terrace for two and patio for larger groups) and private parking. Marrying the crisp Aegean white and blue, the Cave is fully renovated in the Cycladic tradition of thick whitewashed stone walls, wood beams, Karystos stone floors, and traditional 'pattiti'.

We believe in smart luxury, so our home has everything we ourselves enjoy: fully equipped kitchenette with all amenities and stylish dinnerware, the highest quality bath linens and quilts, Samsung 42’’ Smart TV with Netflix, 1,200 channels and on demand video, A/C with individually controlled heating & cooling, safe deposit box, toiletries and hair drier, complementary beach towels, sunbeds and seating facilities. All the small luxuries that make our holidays special.

Access & Getaways:
Andros is a short boat ride from the Athens international airport and mainland, with regular daily routes and low fares. Ideally located, our home is the perfect launchpad for Andros getaways to beaches, sites, and seafront towns (see details in location section below).

An ideal getaway by the sea

The view above the see was stunning and the house itself managed to be both rustic and design, pristine clean. Jason was a great host. For lovers of quiet spots. Our only neighbours were two discrete black cats 🐈‍⬛

Wonderful stay

Our stay was wonderful, the house is perfect for 4 people, clean and super nice. The interior is beautiful and the terrace is unforgettable. Jason is a great host: generous, helpful, always there when you need him. The position is great: 5 minutes by car to Gavrio and 5 minutes by car to Fellos, one of the most beautiful beaches of the island and 5 minute also to one of the best Tavernas: to steki tou andrea.

I was born into a family of islanders in its broadest sense.

My Greek father comes from the beautiful Ionian island of Corfu. My English mother was born in Singapore and lived in England, Scotland and Finland before moving to Greece.

I studied hospitality but became a web developer and marketer by trade. Having grown up by the sea in Athens and Corfu, and later Melbourne and Sydney, I too developed a profound love for the water.

Today I live on the island of Andros, in the home where I spent my summers as a child in the 1970s. The close proximity to Athens and the connected world we live in allow me to continue my professional career, while at the same time caring for our home and enjoying the quality of Greek island living.

Why they chose this property

It was 1967 when our Singapore born, Scottish educated, English mother came to Andros in search of her paradise.

She found it on an old farm house, one kilometer up a donkey track from the magnificent bay of Fellos.

The house had no water, no electricity, no road... no “mod cons” as she would say with a twinkle. Only a beautiful, 18th century Cycladic stone home, framed by a spectacular view of the mountains engulfing the bay.

She called this view her cradle and, to this day, as the skies go orange and the moon ascends on the horizon, she raises a glass to the sun and bids it goodnight.

Her name is Anita and this is her Spiti (home). It is her paradise. It is ours. And it is with great love and pride that we share our experience with the world.
