Our Nest is a cozy and very comfortable guesthouse. We have covered parking for 1 car. Stairway to our secluded nest was built with you in mind, so that you can easily climb.
We offer 2 comfy beds.
One queen bed with smart tv and closet with storage for all your needs.
Just off the main room is the 2nd room which has a full size bed and large walk-in closet.
The restroom offers a shower, fluffy towels and rugs, and amenities to meet all your needs.
We are located in an established, older neighborhood that is quiet but very close to highways and restaurants.
We offer coffees with a Keurig.

Our Nest offers many amenities that make you feel comfortable and just like home.
Decor is warm and inviting mixture of grey and blue tones with dark hardwood flooring.
There is a deck over looking lush green grass and landscaped yard to where many birds call home.
We offer comfortable seating and outdoor dining table with 4 chairs where you can enjoy the sunrise and beautiful sunsets.
Easy access with keypad entries to come and go as you please.
We are located right off the interstate - easy off and on entrances.
Our Nest is a 15 minute drive to Palo Duro State Park - where many visitors like to go and hike.

Weve stayed in a lot of vacation rentals in many states over the years. "The Nest" is the best! This is our 2nd time here. Quiet, comfortable, and clean. So thankful to have coffee available, especially when we have a late arrival!

Nice backyard apt but problem with AC

Located in a gravel backyard above a large garage, but cute apartment with nice little upstairs patio to sit on. We were there on three 100-degree days, and the air conditioning couldn't keep the place cool, so we didn't sleep very well.

Nice Property/Excellent Value

Our second stay at “Our Nest”. We adore it! Very nice, unique property, well maintained, relatively private and reasonably priced. Wht more can you ask? The online listing does not really capture how nice this property is. It is almost like being home. The inside is extraordinarily comfortable and the patio provides a great place to have either, or both, morning coffee or an evening bottle of wine. The owners have made a conscious effort to make their guests’ experience as comfortable as possible. My wife and I appreciate their efforts. We highly recommend “Our Nest”

Comfortable, cute, and quiet

The "nest" is adorable, it was so essy to find and get into, and was so cozy and cute! It had everything i needed for the weekend and then some. The location was perfect for me and it was easy to get to and close enough to what I needed for my stay. The host is very responsive and in a timely manner. I would absolutely recommend anyone to stay!

Short trip to Palo Dura Canyon

Our stay at The Nest was very nice. Shari has thought of just about everything you could need. We tend to cook at our rental and that was a little difficult without a full kitchen, but we made due using the toaster and microwave. You are behind a home and business so the view on the patio isn’t much to be desired, but it was very quiet. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area!

Safe & Many Thoughtful Touches!

My husband was very happy that we had cover/garage over our car when we parked. He liked that The Nest felt very safe. He also liked the hanging table & the shower. The bed was quite comfy! There were so many thoughtful touches in The Nest. Full length mirror to check yourself before going out! Bathmat in front of sink. There was a bowl w/ items such as q-tips, that you might have forgot. More thoughtful touches: Nightlights (one in shape of bird/sparrow) & bowl of snacks (including hot chocolate!) Everything was super clean. Whenever I had a question, the owner answered very quickly. Her husband has a shop downstairs, but does not start working until after 8 am. Fridge could be a tad hard to get to, if you have a hard time bending. We were very pleased & look forward to staying here again!

Our Nest - Perfect Spot in Amarillo

Our Nest was an absolutely perfect spot to perch during our four-day stay in Amarillo. The owner was very quick to respond to our initial request and sent us all the information we needed for our stay. The property was easily accessible from multiple directions so wherever our days took us, it was incredibly easy to get back home each evening. The covered parking kept our vehicle cool and out of the sun, and we enjoyed the cool breeze while sitting on the covered front porch. Once we walked through the front door, we were welcomed by extremely comfy and well-kept furnishings, including incredibly soft sheets on a wonderful bed. The Keurig, the snacks and all the amenities in the bathroom provided everything we needed to settle in when we got home. It was a very clean, fabulous and peaceful place to rest at the end of a long day. We highly recommend this property if you will be spending time in Amarillo!

Visiting family in Amarillo

Based on reviews, I expected a well appointed and scrupulously clean property and we were not disappointed. I would happily recommend this property to others looking for a place to stay in Amarillo. Communication with the owner was good and it was obvious that she set up the apartment to meet her own high standards.

The Nest is the Best

Traveling from Denver to Dallas with my 80 year old mother. I had stayed at “the Nest” once before Covid. It was just as wonderful as I had remembered. My Mom is not easily impressed. Her favorite hobby is cleaning. She even irons her sheets. Mom had nothing but praise for our Host. She did not need for anything. Every little detail was covered. From the night lights to the hand lotion. She also loved the interior design. Said she felt safe and did not have to worry about the car like she does at a hotel. The best place to stay in The Texas panhandle. We give it 5 stars out of 5! Simply wonderful. Barbara and Jen from Boulder, Colorado

A perfect place to “nest”!

Quick overnight stay in Amarillo at this place did not disappoint. Probably the cleanest place we’ve stayed at when it comes to rentals like these. Very nice secluded place for sure. Great spot with lots of character and wished our family could have spent more time relaxing there. 5 of 5 for sure!

Authentic Amarillo

Stayed a couple days with my sister. Comfortable place to stay for those long sisters talks and also get a good nights sleep. My only recommendation is to arrive before dark as the place is located in back of the main residence making it hard to find.

This was one of my favorite places I've been able to stay at through VRBO. The space inside was roomy and decorated adorably. The property was easy to find with good highway access, and it felt safe and private too. Would definitely stay here again!

So clean and inviting!

I absolutely loved how secluded it felt despite the fact we were in the backyard lol but the scent of cleanliness as soon as you open the door was so nice and it for sure contributed to how well we slept. It was in the perfect location! Close to downtown and not too far from Palo Duro Canyon. We loved it so much and hope to come back again another time 💙

Perfect place for 4

Traveling with my married son and daughter in law so I wasn’t wanting a hotel with us all in one room. This place was perfect. Great for the price! Clean. Cute. Well decorated. Everything you need is there! The host was very responsive and took care of everything! Highly recommend!

Our Nest is located right behind our home and over our shop. My husband is a Builder-Contractor and I am a stay at home Wife and Grandma :)

Why they chose this property

Our property is in a very old and established neighborhood. This property, and all others property's are on large 1-2 acre lots. Though we are very much in a city you get all the feels of country living. Truly that is what drew us to call this place our home.

What makes this property unique

Our Nest was created from a desire that I have carried for many years.
Originally, before all the social media, "Bed and Breakfast" environments and Hotels were your only option.
Once I began traveling with VRBO I knew that this was to be my destiny.
We had the space and my husband and I began the process of creating a place to which we would want to stay as guest ourselves.
It is warm and inviting and most of all so comfy!!
It has been said that the decor and all the hospitable touches truly make this a delightful stay.
