 2 bedrooms, one with a 140 bed and the other with two 90 beds which can be transformed into a large 180 bed + baby bed (bedspreads and blankets are provided.

A perfect mountain retreat

Beautifully located on the edges of a village high in the mountains of central Corsica, this is lovely small house with excellent amenities, very comfortable, and with all necessary kitchen equipment and a washing machine. Also a lovely view across the valley with dramatic mountain scenery. The owner was extremely friendly and met us at the station. Well-placed for walking and other outdoor acticities exploring other villages via the convenient train service beween Ajaccio and Bastia. Village has two boulangeries, a friiendly bar and an excellent charcuterie, as well as a butchers with basic groceries. Cannot comment on the several restaurants as these were all closed for winter season. Cannot recommend too highly and we hope to return.

Amical et chaleureux

La situation géographique de ce logement est parfait pour ceux qui cherche le calme. Le petit village de Bocognano est typique et accueillant. Les quelques petit commerce sont suffisant pour l'appoint. Le logement est spacieux et avec tout le confort nécessaire.

Empfehlenswert, aber ein paar Kleinigkeiten...

Das Haus hat eine gute Lage in einem kleinen Dörfchen, in dem man sich mit dem Notwendigsten eindecken kann. Rund um das Haus ist ein schöner gepflegter Garten und die Vermieterin wohnt in der Nähe. Kontakt über die Vrbo-App hat gut funktioniert, per Whatsapp leider nicht so. Das Haus war sehr sauber (bis auf den Herd, der war mit Fett verschmiert). Die Ausstattung ist gut, wir haben allerdings nicht gekocht. Der größere Kochtopf (der mit Deckel) hat leider eine völlig zerkratze Beschichtung und ist daher nicht zu gebrauchen - sollte ausgetauscht werden. Dass der Sonnenschirm beim leichtesten Wind umfällt habe ich der Besitzerin gemeldet und sie hat gesagt, sie würde sich darum kümmern. Vor den Fenstern gibt es Fliegengitter und Außenflügel, sodass man ganz beruhigt in der Nacht die Fenster geöffnet lassen kann. Und zur Begrüßung gab es sehr leckere korsische Kekse, zu denen ich auch das Rezept erhalten habe.

Toller Aufenthalt

Wir waren zum ersten Mal auf Korsika und haben uns in Maries Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Einrichtung ist modern, hell und freundlich. Die Kücheneinrichtung ist perfekt, Geschirr und Besteck sind ausreichend vorhanden. Die Fenster sind mit Fliegengitter ausstattet, bei den korsischen "Mini-Moskitos" ein großer Pluspunkt. Marie ist eine überaus nette Gastgeberin. Bocognano ist ein recht angenehmer Ort mit sehr schöner Lage und Aussicht auf herrliche Berge. Ein großer Nachteil ist leider die schlechte Infrastruktur. Es gibt zwar zwei Bäckereien und einen Metzger, jedoch ist der nächste Supermarkt 22 km entfernt.

Geweldig!

Ik heb, ondanks het wat “uitdagende” weer, een heerlijke week in dit fantastische huisje gehad. Alles is goed verzorgd, heel schoon en het terras is riant met een uitzicht op de ondergaande zon boven de bergen. Van alle gemakken voorzien met ook een heerlijk bed. Het dorpje waar Marie-Jo (de eigenaresse) haar bar runt is op loopafstand. Vanuit huis kun je ook meteen met een aantal mooie wandelingen starten en ook het treinstation is in de buurt. Hou er rekening mee boodschappen te doen en te tanken voordat je aankomt want in het dorp is er haast niets behalve 2 warme bakkers en een slagerij. Maar wel een adembenemend uitzicht op de hoge berg pieken rondom! De communicatie met Marie-Jo verliep uitstekend via sms en telefoon. Echt een aanrader en ik kom zeker weer terug!

Das Ferienhaus liegt am Rand des hübschen Ortes Bognagno mit schönem Blick auf die Berge und das Dorf. Das Haus ist prima eingerichtet, Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine, gute Küchenausstattung, schöne Terrasse, Fliegengitter. Sehr nette Vermieterin. Zur Begrüßung gab es leckere selbstgebackene Kekse und kaltgestelltes Wasser. Das Dorf selbst ist auch sehr nett, mit Bar, Boulangerie und Pizzeria und Bahnhof. Schöne Wandergegend.

Parfait - absolument à recommander

Il n‘a rien à redire. Tout est comme décrit. L‘emplacement offre également un grand jardin magnifique, une vue imprenable sur le village et la montagne. Le terrain est complètement enclôturé, l’accès par un portail motorisé. Marie-Jo est très très sympas, la communication incompliquée. L’emplacement est situé idéal pour découvrir la Corse. Très très bon accueil

L'accueil de Marie-Joëlle a été plein d'attention. Ses conseils pour des visites ou randonnées et pour des achats ou restaurations ont toujours été très judicieux. La maison est très confortable, rien ne manque et la déco est sympa. En un mot nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

Mooie, rustige plaats

Tijdens onze moto vakantie in Corsica, zijn we zeer vriendelijk ontvangen bij aankomst door Marie - Jo, die zelfs voor koekjes had gezorgd (lekker). Wij waren met 4 volwassen mensen (ook 4 motoren) en het huis is hier erg goed voor geschikt, zelfs een wasmachine en afwasmachine hadden we tot onze beschikking. 2 dagen lekker barbecue op het gezellig terras, waar we enkel de vogels horen fluiten. Echt een aanrader, want mijn vrienden en ik zijn geïnteresseerd om hier terug te komen, samen met de partner. Bedankt Marie - Jo voor onze reuze vakantie.

A perfect little house to escape from it all

Located in a quiet village in the mountains, this house is sat high above a quiet road with an awesome view from the lounge window and balcony. The only noise is from the birds and crickets which was glorious! The house owner Marie met us close by and drove us to the house and showed us around. She made sure we knew where everything was and that she owned the local bar so wouldn't be far away if we needed anything! The kitchen is well equipped with utensils, pots & pans, dishes & cutlery, hob and separate oven. It was nice to have the coffee machine, something we made good use of. There were only 2 of us staying but there's definitely room for 4 adults (1 double bed & 2 single beds). The house is only a few years old so everything felt quite modern. It was nice to have the bedroom cupboards to hang our clothes up. There's an iron, spare towels and blankets. There's a drying rack outside with lots of space in case you do any washing and plenty of room for sunbathing and dining on the patio, despite looking small in the pictures. The electric gate made us feel secure and operates via a key fob. We walked into the village a few times for a drink and a meal (a few mins walk), we used the post office and got some supplies from the local butchers. There's also a patisserie in the village but we didn't try it out. Everyone was really nice and even though we didn't speak much French, we still got by ok because they made an effort with us (lucky for us!). The nearest supermarket is a reasonable size Spa 20 mins by car, but that's about it accept a few restaurants dotted around. The main city of Ajaccio about 40 mins away is where we flew to and it has an abundance of shops including lots of large supermarkets, home stores and a Decathlon. You would not be able to stay on this island without hiring a car because the mountains make everything further to get to but that's just the nature of the terrain and the landscape is breathtakingly beautiful. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and it was a nice, comfortable house to come home to after a day of exploring.
