About this property

This cozy villa is on the left side of the pool, allowing you to enjoy sunrises and sunsets, our garden, and of course the beautiful view of the sea. The kitchen has all essential cooking equipment and utensils so you can cook your own meals if you choose. It has a private deck to enjoy your morning coffee or tea. For evenings spent indoors, we have a TV. You will definitely feel like you are home in this suite.

Our staff members are more than happy to assist our guests with whatever they need.

Nautical Inn is located in Seine Bight, Stann Creek District, Belize.

We are situated directly on the Caribbean Sea on the Placencia Peninsula on the edge of the tiny Village of Siene Bight. A 15 minute golf cart drive places you in Placencia Village on the southeastern coast of Belize, a popular holiday destination for North American expats and tourists.

The Placencia village, the worlds smallest Mainstreet called "the sidewalk" is located on the southern tip of the 16-mile long narrow Placencia Peninsula, a relaxed “barefoot friendly” community that bills itself as the caye (island).

There are tour guides that can pick you up in a boat right from the property! Other options are taxis or you could always rent a golf cart or a car to get around on the peninsula.

About the host

My husband and I bought Nautical Inn in 2008, we thought we were looking for a place to retire, instead we bought a small Inn on the beach. We love hosting our guest and getting to know people from all over the world, and show them the beauty of this tiny country.

We have 4 children and 2 grandchildren, all who live in different parts of the world. London, San Francisco, Colorado, and Chicago. Our life has been an adventure, but nothing quite as adventuresome as our time in Belize. My husband is a retired Orthodontist, and the learning curve of a new profession and a new country has been quite challenging for both of us, but we never shy away from a challenge.

Why they chose this property

There are a lot of choices of places to stay in Belize, we are one of the first resorts that was built on the Peninsula, we enjoy remodeling and we like the character of older places. Our place is much quieter. The goal of our staff is to make you feel like family, most of our guest feel instantly at home and welcome and free to do whatever they enjoy.
No shirt no shoes no problem!

What makes this property unique

We have a wonderful dock that goes out over the sea its great for drinks in the afternoon with our wonderful breeze that blows off the water or some like to sit with a pole and catch a few fish. We also have a large pool in the center of the property that is wonderful for a nice swim after a day of tours. Our welcome center is open from 7:00 Am for complementary coffee.
