I was pleasantly surprised by the Montaneros as well as the room we stayed in. From the moment we walked in the place exceeded our expectations. The gentleman who checked us in couldn’t have been more helpful. The lobby and common areas are very nice. The parking garage being at the lobby level made unloading easy. There is a room at the lobby level to store skis, boots and poles with a popcorn maker that the kids loved. The short walk to the slopes or the lionshead shops from the lobby was perfect.
The room we stayed in was amazing. The appliances, cookware, utensils, furnishings, etc are all top of the line. It felt like it was our home for the weekend. From the looks of it the owners spared no expense when renovating this unit. The bathrooms and kitchen are beautiful. If you are looking for a place that can sleep a family of 6 comfortably this is the place.
The one thing I would change is the hook situation when walking into the unit. The current setup does not hold coats well with no room for other gear. I’d suggest some larger hooks at different levels so people can hang jackets, helmets, gloves on.
