The communication with the owners, the property, the surroundings..... Everything was way better than I anticipated. Kayaks available for use & dock space. The home was beautifully decorated, and meticulously maintained. Looking forward to rebooking for next year.
Everything was very much as advertised! Aside from house (which was wonderful), the location was ideal, with lots of great hiking trails nearby and places like Lake Placid, Ticonderoga, and Plattsburgh all within a 30-40 minute radius.Loved the lakeside area too.
The house is so cute, smelled like the fresh pine and the open beam design was so Adirondack style it was perfect. The upstairs open loft was great for our older teen, and 22 year old, (could have had another person there as well) to have there own space. Kitchen well outfitted, loved the dinning room, and the side porch. We took the kayaks out, and the lake is a great size to explore. Don't miss the nearby fire tower great view with little effort. We had a car issue and host was super generous and helpful.
This property is a wonderful escape from the daily grind. The house is cozy, comfortable and meticulously kept. The waterfront is beautiful and the water is very nice. I can't say enough things about the relaxation that can happen at this property. We will be back for sure.
This is an incredibly beautiful home on Lincoln Pond. It is clear how much they care for their home. We were able to swim, float, kayak, fish, watch storms roll in and completely relax! It is a steep walk back and forth to the water, but not a huge deal. We drove our car down for the time we spent a few hours on the water which made it really easy. It's a beautiful lake and we fell in love with it - we can't wait to return!
Amazing stay but the owner won't refund your deposit
The property was amazing and the check-in process is a breeze. Overall, I loved the place and how equipped it was for a weekend getaway. The owner was initially very responsive and made sure we had no trouble finding the place or things to do in the neighborhood. Especially loved the dock area with the fire-pit. Definitely used that space the most. The least used space was the basement as it smelled of moisture in there. The only sour part to our stay came after the stay when the owner charged us 300 dollars for a torn cushion without any invoice or a picture of the damage. Also, the owner requires you to get mandatory damage insurance for the stay. Why not use that to cover the damages? 60 dollars for insurance and the entire deposit over that seems a bit excessive. The owner won't take our calls so we have no way to reach him. Have disputed the charge with my CC company. Will post an update once we have an answer to the dispute. Haven't heard back from VRBO regarding a receipt or proof of damage either. Hoping to have this resolved.
Clean (v important), comfortable, well provisioned cabin on a lake although it’s a full scale home. Owners were v responsive to questions. The place is fantastic.
Beautiful well kept home, perfect for our short one night stay! The owner, Tom, was very gracious and friendly and went out of his way to contact us to insure we understood how to turn on the heat for an unusually cold night. Gave us special accommodations for an early check-in. Would recommend and stay here again.
My wife and I had an incredible stay at the Bear Camp! The house was spotless, easy and quick communication with our hosts, and the property and location are absolutely stunning! We definitely plan on coming back!
Excellent cabin. Very clean, Very private, Well apointed, excellent communication with property owners. Oh and yes, a terrific view of the lake. Would love to stay here again!
Another fantastic stay at this cabin while soaking in the ADKs with my teenage boys. Host is fantastic. House is better than advertised and well stocked. We hope to return every summer.
Meticulously maintained ADK cabin. Well stocked and the waterfront is excellent. The host is very responsive and pleasant to communicate with. The cabin exceeded our expectations and we will be back next summer.
