Amazing and relaxing holidays

Our holidays at Villa Galatia were amazing. The house is beautiful and we felt comfortable at first moment. The house and the Pool are really nice! You can enjoy the silence but with a car there is nothing far away. You can go to the beach, have a hike in a gorge around or just enjoy a traditional meal. Ioannis and Despina were perfect hosts. Thank you!

Host profile image
I was born and raised in Greece, and my parents are originally from Askyfou village. I studied economics, but my true passion has always been theater, which has been an important part of my life for many years.

I truly enjoy meeting people and connecting with guests from different parts of the world. Learning about different cultures, exchanging ideas, and sharing experiences is something I value deeply. Hosting gives me the opportunity to welcome people from many places and make them feel comfortable and at home during their stay, which is something that brings me great joy.

Why they chose this property

Perched on the top of Gonidi Hill, the house offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Right before your eyes stretches the beautiful green valley of Askifou, embraced by the majestic White Mountains.

The scenery changes beautifully with the seasons. In winter, the mountains are often covered with snow. In spring, the landscape fills with colors and wildflowers. During the summer, when the wheat fields turn golden and the evening sun touches the valley, the view becomes truly magical.

The neighborhood is quiet and authentic, with traditional houses that have been carefully restored over the years, along with some newer homes and villas, creating a charming blend of old and new

What makes this property unique

What truly makes Villa Galatia special is its breathtaking, unobstructed view over the wide valley of Askifou and the majestic White Mountains. From this privileged location, guests can enjoy a landscape that combines natural beauty with a deep sense of peace and tranquility.

The surrounding scenery creates the perfect atmosphere for relaxation, where the silence of nature and the beauty of the mountains allow you to fully unwind and experience the authentic charm of the Cretan landscape.
