Dogs are allowed, no cats due to allergies, there is an extra $10 a night pet fee and the pet addendum signed.
Take advantage of all that the surrounding area has to offer: Dale Hollow Lake, visit the Cordell Hull Birthplace Museum and Bunkum Cave or one of the many State Parks, waterfalls and hiking trails located close by. If you enjoy antiquing, the town of Livingston is about a 25 minute drive and has several shops right in the town square. If you are in to wine, the oldest winery in TN, Highland Manor, is located in Jamestown, about a 30-40 minute drive down 127. The wine is very good and the gift shop is adorable. There are many things to enjoy around the Byrdstown area. Visit the Chamber of Commerce website for listings and locations. Cookeville is approximately a 45 minute drive right down Rt. 111. It has many shoppng opportunities, boutiques in the historic area as well as big box stores located around the city. If you like great dining, there are several great restaurants in the Cookeville area that are well worth the drive.
