Garden Cottage 29 Cute, Cozy, and Coastal Cottage

You will feel rested and renewed the moment you step foot into this cottage. You enter this 3 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom Cottage through the kitchen, which is equipped with stainless steel appliances, a standard coffee machine, an abundance of counter space, and much much more. Looking forward to enjoying a meal at home? This cottage has an oversized bar top, which seats three, and a large dining table which seats six. Flowing from the dining area is the living room, which provides comfortable seating for everyone. The cottage boasts a screened-in porch on the first floor. This cottage also features a master suite (KING) on the main level, with an oversized shower and walk-in linen closet. At the base of the stairs, you will find the powder room, along with the laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer. On the second floor, you will find two bedrooms, both with queen-sized beds, private bathrooms, and access to the second-floor balcony. This cottage includes beach chairs. In addition, guests have access to The Cottages at Jekyll Island's million-dollar amenities, which include Clubhouse, zero-entry pool and fitness, beach deck, beach access and a community fire pit.

BEACH ACCESS AT THE COTTAGES
Overview: The Cottages beach is about 2,000 feet long, featuring a beach deck, dune area and seawall.

Access Points: There are three beach access points with the main access located near the pool and clubhouse, one access point in the mid-north area and another at the south end of the Cottages.

Tide Information: At high tide, water reaches the seawall, changing every six hours. Check a tide chart to plan your beach time. The sand area landside of the seawall is accessible at all times for recreaation.

Nearby Facilities: Oceanview Beach Park, about 2 miles south past the Holiday Inn, offers all-day ocean access. Explore all Jekyll Island beaches on their website.

Important Note: Storms may affect beach crossover access, therefore we cannot guarantee beach access at all times.

The house is spacious and very well decorated We loved the screened porch, the pool and the deck overlooking the ocean. We really enjoyed the trolly tour and all the wonderful restaurants nearby. Sorority Girls Trip

Location and home were perfect. Close to ocean and pool and the community was so nice. There were 6 of us staying and we all 6 LOVED the property. That is saying something when you have 6 ladies all over the age of 50 that all agree how perfect the property was for our trip.

Friends Getaway

We all needed a weekend away. We got it with an amazing cottage and a laid back atmosphere that only Jekyll can offer. The Holly Jolly Christmas tour was great also. Hopefully this will begin to be a yearly holiday tradition. I highly recommend.

The house layout was great. Pool and neighborhood were great. Very Disappointed in the lack of beach access. The floors were filthy. Don’t think they had been cleaned (just swept) in several guests; dropped an ice cube upon arrival and the paper towel to wipe it up was black; walking barefoot made your feet gross and had to wash them in bath tub before I could go to bed or wear slippers all the time. Sheets and pillows were terrible. I understand that rentals don’t like to put in good stuff but folks that can afford these prices don’t sleep on cheap quality bedding at home and expect at least to sleep in moderately soft, comfortable bedding and decent pillows when vacationing. Other than those items, it was a nice stay.

A bit confused

When we arrived the bad news was that no one had informed us our unit was being painted and unavailable. The good news is that the temporary unit they did finally find was very nice. When we had to move back to the original unit, there were some issues that we reported but we’re not addressed.

Nice Townhouses. Property has good amenities and convenient access to the beach. Our particular unit had a few items that needed to be addressed— the powder room toiled seat was broken, master bedroom sheets were old and worn making them very scratchy and the sofa was too soft and uncomfortable. Despite these issues we would still recommend staying at The Cottages and will return in the future.

Nice choice for a short beach stay

The townhouse is located very close to the beach(s) - which is a big +. The community is built packed in - neighbors are very close which makes the lovely porch nearly impossible to use. The unit was well supplied but could use some updates to replace chipped dishes and pans and very old bed linens.

This property is great! Our family really enjoyed our time to relax and enjoy the island. A minor problem with the water heater was quickly resolved and barely noticed. We spent most of our time on the beautiful screened in porch.
