This charming Retreat is comprised of two separate rooms and a bathroom. There is on large studio room with a king-sized bed, as well as a fully equipped kitchenette, cozy seating and dining areas, a 43" flat screen TV, cable, and Wi Fi. The second room has two twin beds and 2 comfy chairs. Both sleeping areas have an Armoire, exterior windows with daylight shades, and privacy doors. The bathroom has a large double sink counter, shower/bath combination, hair dryer, and fully equipped with toiletries, plush towels and washcloths. There is a wall thermostat in the Retreat enabling the guests to control the air or heat. We also provide a heater, fan, extra pillows and blankets. Our Retreat is decorated with local art and a modest library. Guests have no steps from their car to the entrance or in the Retreat itself. There is a labyrinth of steps if you desire to take an optional stroll down to the babbling brook.
You will have access your own back porch with table and chairs overlooking a wooded area and a serene mountain brook. Perfect for having a hot or cool drink and enjoying the abundant beauty of the natural surroundings. You'll also likely see your fair share of wildlife, including deer and neighborhood wild turkeys. The property is located in close proximity to the Biltmore estate, Sierra Nevada, Flat Rock, and Tryon with fabulous hikes, zip lining, charming walks, and other outdoor activities nearby.
The house is non-smoking and will be cleaned once a week. The instructions on entering Mountain Brook Retreat will be given two days before arrival.

We loved our stay as it was very peaceful, in a beautiful neighborhood and almost to the top of a mountain. The roads were all paved and not steep, but we used our GPS every time we left the home so we wouldn’t get lost! We stayed for six days and we explored a different town each day we went out. There was a large variety of shopping and dining places. Our favorite breakfast place was the Mills River restaurant. I never met the host, but they very responsive through messaging on VRBO. I WOULD DEFINITELY STAY HERE AGAIN!! The thought of all the little things we needed. We even had coffee and filters in the cabinets along with snacks & drinks!
The last evening we even had deer down behind our room.

Private, Cozy, Comfy & super generously appointed!

We highly recommend this place. The host Sharon is beyond courteous, attentive and kind and has loaded this place up with every creature comfort you can imagine. The house is perfectly situated, very serene and even has a beautiful babbling Brook towards the bottom of the property to enjoy nature. The king size bed was super comfortable, and there is plenty of linens and extra pillows and extra everything really. The entire home including the bathroom were absolutely spotless as well. We were very impressed and will look to stay here again when visiting our daughter and grandson.

Perfect get away.

My husband and I stayed there for our 22nd waiting anniversary. The hosted so much to make it a wonderful anniversary. The house is beautiful and there is plenty to do. I cannot wait to stay again. Next time I will take my two grandkids because there were also twin beds along with the wonderful comfy cozy king size bed.

Property located in a quiet neighborhood close to Fletcher and Hendersonville or Asheville, NC. HOSTS are friendly but respected our privacy. All of the amenities of a hotel suite. Great WiFi reception. Brook Mountain Retreat gets 5-stars!!!

Beautiful place in a great location

We stayed at the Mountain Home Retreat at the beginning of November 2021. The rental is great for both adults and any children they might happen to have with them. The location is perfect for visiting Chimney Rock/Lake Lure, the NC Arboretum, Biltmore Estate and more. The hosts were very friendly and made themselves appropriately available. Beat the Heat and Anniversary

We needed to get away from Florida Heat and it was our Anniversary as well. The Host surprised us with balloons, flowers, a cake a sweet card congratulating us. The home was so very comfortable and you would not want for reading material. The view from the deck was so relaxing. I can't say enough good things about our stay and hope to visit again in the future.

What a lovely home with a gorgeous view/backyard! Our family had just enough room to spread out, but we also felt cozy and tucked away in the woods. We never ran into the owners, but we could hear them move above us occasionally (it was never a bother in the least). I liked knowing that if we had any issues, they were nearby, but I also appreciated that they gave us our privacy. All in all, exactly as advertised and a wonderful location near Hendersonville and Asheville.

The Mountain Brook Retreat was the perfect cozy little cabin for our family’s fall weekend getaway. It was in a great location for all the activities we planned—Biltmore, hiking, Chimney Rock and more. The cabin was equipped with all the amenities we could possibly need. The hosts put a lot of care into ensuring our stay was perfect, with clear communication, snacks, and more. We will definitely stay again if we return to Hendersonville!

We had a good time while we were in town. It was very clean and they had everything you would need for your stay. They have a beautiful backyard to wake up and drink coffee. I think the only thing is that the king bed is in the living room which I didn’t realize upon booking, but totally user error on my part!

This listing on VRBO was a remodeled basement. VRBO is supposed to be the whole house. All weekend long we heard walking around and vacuuming. While having a private conversation somebody was on the upper deck listening. You would think they would have had the courtesy to go inside. The owners also made it a point to walk by and checkout my girlfriend. I do not recomend.

Long Christmas weekend

We stayed at this lovely property in October and knew we’d be back! The house is in a perfect location so that we could easily access Hendersonville, Fletcher, Asheville, and Mills River.
