Our condo is located on the the 4th floor. It overlooks many of the red brick buildings that characterize Chinatown, and in the distance you will see the coastal mountains that make Vancouver Island so beautiful. Outside your door you are in the heart of Canada's oldest Chinatown, second oldest Chinatown in North America! From the front door you are a block away from the waterfront. There is lots of construction in Victoria right now.

We have a top of the line portable Air Conditioning Unit (A/C) that will keep the Condo cool in the warmer seasons.

This building was built in 2018. It was constructed to meet the highest safety standards. You will feel safe and secure staying here.

Coffee and tea await you in this brand new kitchen - all stainless steel appliances. Quality cookware provided. The kitchen has a stove with an oven, dishwasher, full fridge, and a microwave. Shampoo, body wash, hair dryer and towels are all included. The balcony has an outdoor table and chairs. It is the perfect spot to watch the sunset over Old Town Victoria.

If you are tired from exploring Victoria - relax and enjoy a movie on a 55" smart TV. You will have access to Netflix and Cable TV.

Guests will have exclusive access to the condo. There is free, high speed, unlimited WIFI. The bedroom has a door that closes for privacy. The second bed is a new queen sofa bed. It folds out into platform bed that is very comfortable to sleep on. There is a laundry machine and dryer in the bathroom - detergent is provided. The building is secure and is strictly non-smoking inside or on balcony.

You will be provided a detailed self check in and welcome package in advance of your stay. No keys required to check in. You will be given personalized access codes. We are always available through VRBO messaging. We are usually available by phone or text, and Whatsapp.

Victoria is a very walkable city! It is best explored on foot. When you stay at our condo you won't really need a car. Our street has red street signs which means it is officially part of the historic neighbourhood of Chinatown, right in the heart of Old Town Victoria. If, however, you need to travel longer distances the public bus service is very effective. There are also shuttle services that can take you to tourist destinations that are outside of town, such as Butchart Gardens. If you have any questions about getting around victoria by car or foot please let us know. We are both locals and are happy to help you in any way possible. We want to make sure you enjoy this beautiful city as much as we do.

PARKING

Parking is free in Victoria, between 8pm and 8am, all day on Sunday and on Civic Holidays. On discovery street between Warf and Government there is 2 hour free parking.

The least expensive lot nearby is 645 Fisgard Street. It is a covered secure parkade run by the city. It located on the same block as our condo (less than 300 meters walk). They offer all day and overnight parking at a reasonable rates. The max day rate is $15 dollars.

There are also Robbins parking lots everywhere that offer hourly and daily rates.

CHECK IN

Check in is at 4pm. If you would like to arrive early or store your luggage check-in the Victoria Clipper will provide that service for a fee. They are located at 254 Belleville Street. Another great option is Airlobby. They are located only a couple bocks away at 556 Pandora Avenue.

You will be issued a special code to enter the building and the unit. No keys required for check-in. You can check-in anytime and without us having to meet you.

Entry Lock:
The lock for Unit 402 is a coded lock. Type in the special code provided to you. You will see a green check mark and hear the lock open. You are in!

When you leave the condo close the door and press the schlage button at the top to lock the door or type in the code provided. You will see a green check mark and hear the door lock. Your unit is now locked and secure. Make sure you have your fob to get back in the building from the exterior. Enjoy your outing!

CHECKOUT

1. DEPARTURE TIME
Check-out time is strictly 11am. Should you require a later checkout we will do our best to accommodate you but you need to let us know beforehand. If we have guests arriving that day it will be challenging to offer a late check-out due to the cleaners needing to prepare for those guests.

GETTING YOURSELF ORIENTED

QUIET TIME
Quiet time is between 10PM and 7am; there is a local ordinance to this effect.

BED LINEN / TOWELS
Towels and face cloths will be provided for your stay.
If you are using the pullout sofa you will find the duvet and pillows in the bedroom closet. The linens will already be on the bed.

SMOKING / DRUG POLICY
There is no smoking, vaping or drugs allowed anywhere in the property or on the condo property. If you are a smoker you must leave the property to do so. If you are caught breaking this rule we reserve the right to end your stay and keep your security deposit.

DISHWASHER
There are dishwasher pods under the sink - insert one into the flip box container on the inside of the dishwasher door. Close the door and select your setting - then hit start.

LAUNDRY
The laundry detergent is stored in the bathroom, under the sink. The washing machine is located in the bathroom below the dryer. To operate the washing machine, simply select the program you want, place the detergent pod in the tray, close the door, and hit start. There is also a drying rack, iron, and ironing board in the bedroom closet.

MISC
There is a pack and play crib in the bedroom closet should you require it during your stay.

To lock the patio door lift up firmly on the handle - then simultaneously turn the lock clockwise (to the right).

The Keurig coffee maker is ready to use. Simply turn on the power button at the top. The Keurig coffee maker will take a moment to heat up the water. When it is ready lift the black lid and insert a coffee pod. Press the size of coffee you desire. Warning: if you choose a larger setting it will overflow the coffee mugs provided.



Recycle and Garbage:

There are garbage and green compost bins are underneath the sink. There is a recycle bin in the hallway closet.

There is also a recycle and garbage room in the parkade. Take the elevator to the ground floor. Turn left after the first door. The door to the parkade will be on your left. You will need need your silver key to open this door. The garbage and recycle room is through the parkade gate on your right.
There is a mattress topper for the sofa bed to provide extra comfort. It is located in the bedroom closet.

There are many Victoria travel books provided for your usage! Please do not take them. We hope every guest has a chance to read them

BREAKAGES
We understand that sometimes accidents happen! Should you break anything please let us know immediately - if it's minor we typically don’t charge - accidents do happen.. If it's a larger issue (e.g. the TV screen!) we would like to discuss our options with you before you leave to avoid any issues. Communication is key. We hope you treat our Condo with the respect that you would treat your own home with! Thank you.


TV
There are two remotes to operate the entertainment system. The large remote turns on the TV. If you press the Netflix button you will be automatically taken to the guests Netflix account. The smallest remote controls the soundbar. Please let us know if you log out of our Netflix account to use your own! That way we can make sure to set it up for the next guest. The smaller remote controls the soundbar which should automatically turn on with the tv.
