Lianne's home is really special. The pool and gardens are beautiful and the roaming kitties are sweet touch. We loved visiting the animals and watching the sunrise. The game room was perfect for the days when the air quality was poor and we couldn't enjoy the outdoors. Lianne prepared us for "glamping" style cooking and that helped us prepare the right meals to bring along and she made us a delicious vegetarian dinner the first night with ingredients from her garden which was really outstanding.
This property was amazing. Short distance from home, but felt like we were in another world. The location is remote and you get to roam the property as you please. Doug and Lianne were so accommodating. They let our kids feed the animals and even ride a horse! My kids were in heaven with all of the animals and they especially loved playing with the cats on the property. The pool was beautiful! I just wish the weather was warmer so we could of spent more time in it. Overall a great experience, especially if you have little ones. Thank you so much for everything! We will be back for sure (:
Doug and Luanne have a great property and were great hosts. We just stayed one night (which wasn’t enough), but the amenities were plentiful (they’ve thought of everything) - games (vintage through modern, video and board), living area, couches, futon, kitchen goodies, and an amazing pool area with waterfall. Oh, did I mention the animals!? It’s totaly Dr. Doolittle...in a good and fun way. The cats are crazy friendly and fun to watch and play with. The goats were hilarious and sweet - Had to chase them out of the garden. The garden was amazing and thank you for sharing your harvest with us! :)
The views were really special - sunset and sunrise were both very memorable.
The family is warm, welcoming and friendly. Their place works for a family fun time or a romantic getaway - plenty of space inside and out for either.
My 6-year-old daughter and I enjoyed our stay very much. The highlights were all the animals (dogs, goats, horses, chickens and especially the cats), as well as Doug and Lianne’s first-class hospitality.

Divinity in El Dorado
We enjoyed our stay at Almost Eden. The private guest house is very comfortable and relaxing. Our hosts were friendly and very accommodating yet not intrusive. The property is even more picturesque in person.
A perfect place to stay when you want to get away!
