Oceanaire -- Fantastic Views, Breezes and Romance on a secluded & private beach
Oceanaire is a first class vacation home directly on the Atlantic Ocean beach near Governor's Harbor, Eleuthera. This custom built home underwent a total renovation inside and outside in 2017 and features two master suites with fantastic views from every room. The location is only four miles from Governor's Harbour Airport and the closest neighbours are more than a one-quarter mile away. Covered verandahs with comfortable teak furniture and an open sundeck overlooking the pink sand beach provide shade and sun worshippers equal opportunity to relax and enjoy the serenity of Oceanaire. The kitchen is outfitted to please a gourmet chef, including dozens of spices and a propane barbecue on the screened verandah and dining area. The living areas inside and out are comfortably furnished with Sunbrella fabric cushions, including a teak double chaise lounge on the verandah that is a favorite and very romantic spot for guests. The pink sand beach is secluded and runs for miles in both directions. Coral heads a few hundred feet offshore provide lobster and fish for dinner for the intrepid snorkeler. Oceanaire now has hi-speed wifi Internet access throughout the house and on the verandahs . This is our third time staying at Oceanaire and it's always been great! Location is key for us. Close to airport, Governors Harbor, great beaches as well as the beach right in front of the house. The house had everything we needed including a new stroller we were able to use for our 1 year old. We'll be back for sure!
My husband and I had a fabulous two weeks. The location is stunning. We walked miles on the almost deserted beach every day. Otherwise we spent hours on the outdoor porch and the screen porch. Justin the manager was very helpful and very responsive. It was hard to leave, but we’ve booked again for next year.
Wonderfully appointed home w/gorgeous views and great beach. Everything you could possibly want was there and with the convenience of being just a few minutes from GH.
Definitely recommend!
We loved the oceanfront location and the huge amount of outdoor living space. We spent a lot of time on the huge screened in porch enjoying hearing the crashing ocean waves.
This was our 2nd time staying at Oceanaire- and we still love it! Perfect location mid-island, beautiful views and lots of toys (snorkeling gear/kayak/SUPs/beach chairs...) to enjoy the water. Justin is such a great caretaker of this beautiful property- thank you, we will be back!
Best place ever to unwind and relax…best views and perfect location…quiet town nearby with pretty much all you need. Water is amazing!
Owners and property manager is easy to get in touch with any questions or needs.
We love it at Oceanaire…..
Will be back !
Total privacy with phenomenal ocean views. The house is exactly like its photos. There were just 2 of us and it was ideal. With more than 2 adults it would be a bit "cozy". Shopping for groceries in Governors Harbour is limited. A trip to Rock Harbour takes you to the best supermarket on the island to stock up early.

Great location but house in need of a update
We came back because of the great location: private and on a beautiful quiet beach. Unfortunately, the house is getting a bit rundown. The kitchen cupboards were stuffed with dishes and utensils, the fridge had expired condiments and the all the rooms could use a good scrub down. We did not find any beach chairs and not all the loungers were in working order. Our main concern was the steep wooden staircase to the beach that was wobbly and in need of strong bracing. Not sure when there is garbage pickup but there was an overflow when we got there and when we left. We also had no potable water or water cooler jug when we arrived late Saturday evening. Apparently the previous guest is supposed to leave one.Screened sunroom with the BBQ was great, as is the beach.

An Awesomely beautiful property! Snorkeling right off the beach was phenomenal. The place was great. Loved the fully stocked kitchen and the grill setup. Appreciated the choice of outdoor areas and the outdoor shower. Private and gorgeous.
We hit the small grocery stores in town daily, and bought fish from the the local fisherman each day at 2:00 in town. Not a lot of restaurants in the area, but why not cook in and enjoy the view. We loved this place.
3rd trip to the island and our 2nd visit to Oceanaire. Excellent central location, peaceful, and with no homes nearby to the north, you have a couple miles of beach pretty much to yourself. The screened verandah is perfect to enjoy the evening air without getting hit by the no-see-ums bugs. Definitely our favorite room in the home. Luc is wonderful to communicate with regarding questions and details for your stay. His caretaker Justin is also excellent and also made for a very enjoyable trip. Highly recommend this one.
This is a beautiful property with outstanding views of the ocean from many angles. The screened in porch was our favorite spot for morning coffee and naps on the porch. The sundeck was awesome as well as the outside shower. The seating on the porch was used as well. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we slept with the screen door listening to the ocean. Best sleep ever! The people that live on the island are so friendly. The road/s were a bit challenging but we found several beautiful beaches where at times we were the only ones there. Really relaxing and a perfect place to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary! Thank you!
Wow!! This is such a beautiful spot on a gorgeous beach. We saw small sharks and a large string ray from the beach multiple times. The beach in front of the home is the best of both worlds, great snorkeling and sandy swimming spots as well!! Very nice home, and loved all the extras… spices, TP, soap, etc… Outside shower was handy and plenty of lounge chairs for enjoying the outdoors. We loved the landscaping, we saw unique birds, frogs, and lots of mosquitoes! The screened porch was lovely but it was actually so warm we didn’t get to really enjoy it! The caretaker, Justin was literally the best and so attentive, we enjoyed speaking with him on more than one occasion! Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with us!!! Can’t wait to come back!

No Television
This is a beautiful house and property and we thoroughly enjoyed our 4 week stay. Great furnishings inside and out. However without our knowledge the owners discontinued television service shortly before we arrived. 4 weeks with no access to news or sports broadcasts is a long time. The caretaker apparently was unaware that this had happened but the owners were apparently dismissive about the whole thing. Also there was no garbage collection for the entire time. Garbage that was in the cans when we arrived was still there a month later as was all of ours. We have been coming to eleuthera for 18 years and this is not normal. Lastly the 42 steps down to the beach are precarious and need to be rebuilt. Hate to be negative but the owners should have alerted us about the tv situation but obviously didn't care.
Absolutely loved this rental. You cannot beat the views of the ocean! The rental has everything you can ever need for your stay. The screened in porch was perfect for sitting outside in the evenings and not being dinner for the mosquitos! We brought a cooler with our favorite meats from the States with no issues. Loved grilling burgers and steaks on the grill! Hope to come back soon!
We arrived at Oceanaire just before dark, via the "back way" (we did not have a "clicker" to enter the Banana Beach development). All entry instructions were right on the money. The property was simply gorgeous. Justin Pinder, the caretaker, was very respectful of our privacy. He brought us a 5 gallon bottle of water for the dispenser. We loved the beach. We tried to walk up the road to the north (a road we DROVE down several years ago) but it was really overgrown. Theoretically you could walk to The Deck via that overgrown path. We spent a lot of time at Alabaster, aka Receivers, aka Cocco Di Mamma beach. It is about 8 minutes away from Oceanaire (once you get the clicker)....which makes the airport about 10 minutes away.
Oceanaire had GREAT privacy. We saw two or three people on the beach. I really liked the lower deck (halfway up the bluff). Everything you need is at this house. Tons of music, tons of books, tons of movies. We will be back.
This was our 2nd trip back to Eleuthera and we booked Oceanaire to experience the Atlantic side of the island. It was just 2 of us, but the home would be equally as incredible for 4 given the layout, separate spacious baths, and large common areas. Kitchen was very well appointed for any type of meal as well. We absolutely loved the large screened veranda and grill. We enjoyed all our meals out there, and it was a blessing to sit out listening to the ocean late at night without any bugs. I think that was our favorite spot in the house.
Super clean, and their caretaker Justin was very responsive to questions.
The location was incredible and the landscaping was beautiful. With no nearby homes (and none to the north), it was like having a private 1-2mi long beach all to ourselves for morning walks. Extremely relaxing, and would most definitely return.
Owners were also very responsive to questions, and the guest book they provided prior to arrival was super helpful in providing all the info needed for an incredible and relaxing stay. Thank you!
We loved the home and the setting. The kitchen is well stocked with everything and we loved grilling fish we purchased from the local fisherman. Dining out is very expensive on the island (at least double US prices) so we brought some dry goods in suitcases and ate out only once a day.. The house is just a few miles from grocery, restaurants. couple of shops. Governors Harbour is a good location for a home base if you want to explore both North and South. It was about an hour drive from North Eleuthera Airport. Water was a bit rough for snorkeling at house beach, but nice for swimming and walking. We loved the screened in porch especially the daybed for relaxing.. There are several place to sit outside and enjoy the fabulous view. We did boat trip off gene's bay, fill day exploring harbour Island, to the North and mangroves near rock sound in the South. Our only disappointment was that the caretaker was not responsive to our few requests including that the internet was down for the last 2 days of our trip.
What more could you ask for? Privacy, awesome beach, sunshine, a beautiful view of the Atlantic, and a house that is well equiped and comfortable. My only complaint is that it it is so comfortable with the sea breeze keeping the bugs away and keeping you from getting too hot, you are liable to get sunburn because you can sit out all day long on the oceanview patio.
