About this property

Cozy studio in the Sierras

Enjoy Lake Tahoe and the Sierras from this cozy studio located at NorthStar. Condo is on the second floor with an awesome balcony. Relax, grill, and dine on the balcony, or curl up with a good book by the gas fireplace. I love that it is located half-way between Lake Tahoe and the darling village of Truckee.

This space contains one real queen bed and a fold out sleeper sofa. A roll out cot is also available.

The complex's fabulous recreation center has it all — a lap pool, sauna, hot tub, tennis and basketball courts, plus a gym. The Village's outdoor skating rink is a treat even in winter, with heated seating areas and cozy fire pits.

This is not a place for events or parties, sorry! Absolutely no smoking. There are two flights of stairs! So it isn't the best option if you have a hard time with stairs. Sometimes you can hear cars from the road outside, but it usually isn't bad.

Unit was great. Road noise is only issue.

I was very happy with the unit, other than noise. It is on 2nd floor of 3 story building and above neighbors were very noisy (a small child, I think was the issue). Also, it is quite close to the main road into Northstar, pretty constant traffic. If you are not sensitive to noise, then this is a great unit. Pretty setting, nice complex, the Northstart village and rec center are nice.

Good, but needs love

The location is fantastic, a short drive to the northstar village. It was a great studio for just my wife and I, anymore than two people might be a squeeze. The room itself is nice, cabin-y and cozy, but after closer inspection it could use a bit of love. The shower drain was clogged with hair that caused the tub to fill while showering, as well as previous guests hair on walls. There were crumbs on the bed when we first got in, and the kitchen cabinets and the closets were packed with items so we couldn't use storage. After reaching out to Lexy, she was genuinely concerned about the cleanliness, but we were disappointed when we never heard from her or the cleaning company regarding that after first bringing it up. Overall, we had a good time, but because of Covid, it would have been nice if it had been a bit cleaner.

Great ski condo

My little family of 3 had a fantastic time at Lexy's condo for our ski trip. The location to the mountain was fantastic and the shuttle comes on demand which was very helpful. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed.

Great Stay

We enjoyed our stay in this condo and being able to use the Rec Center at North Star. It is great for 2 people. The owner was very responsive to our questions. Just a note there are lots of steps to get to the condo, great exercise!!

Thanks

It was very difficult to learn location of unit. Did not get Address until a week ahead which made it very hard to plan your trip. There was no one to talk to. Also no TP Kleenex closet space to hang clothes (closet was Full of bed linens other stuff. Kitchen faucet is broken. Only fan was very dirty. I was very disappointed as a first time VRBO renter. We had to buy our own TP. 😢Mary Moss

Updated, clean and cozy condo!

We enjoyed our stay in this beautifully updated condo. It was clean and had everything we needed. The location was convenient, just a short nature walk to the rec center and village. Communications with the owner, Lexy, were excellent. She quickly responded to questions, and also checked-in by email to see if we needed anything.

Perfect Studio for our stay

First of all, Lexy was terrific with her communication throughout the entire process. The condo was exactly as described in the listing. My wife, 10 year old son, and I stayed at the property for 8 nights. The studio offered us all the essentials - full kitchen, full bath, a queen bed and a pull out sofa. We didn't plan on spending much time indoors, so this set up was perfectly fine for us. To have all the advantages of being right at the base of the mountain for such a modest price was a no brainer for my family. We would definitely book with Lexy again in the future.
