*Please note our little surf town is no longer sleepy. Construction noise is present throughout most neighbourhoods close to the beach during daylight hours. *

Location, location. This gated Costa Rica style home is walking distance to the beach, sleeps up to 6-8 adults, even more with kids, and is fully stocked with all the kitchen and cooking utensils you need, a private pool, BBQ, cruiser bikes, an off-road double stroller, and extra surf boards. Walk to surf shops and restaurants, and it is only a 1 hour drive on paved roads from the Liberia International Airport. Make use of our local contacts for additional rentals, lessons, surfing boat tours, fishing, and more. With some of the most consistent waves in the country, and easier surf just a bit further down the beach for beginners and children, this quiet, off-the-beaten path location is guaranteed to please. We are excited to host you in our second home.

Beautiful Beach Home

The house was incredibly spacious and comfortable for our group. Given the hottern than normal weather the air conditioning worked great and the pool was refreshing. The house is walking distance to everything from restaurants to the beach. We wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed more of what the house had to offer.

Casa surf

The house was clean, it had bikes and surf boards. We enjoyed the pool. The house is walking distance from the beach. The house is in a quiet neighborhood.However the house is dated. It was said the house had a hot tub, that would lead us to believe it had a Jacuzzi It was a tub shower with no stopper or plug and only warm water no hot water. The hot water tank was to small for the amount of people allowed to stay there and also had a timer.

We have been to Costa Rica every year since our kids were born, spending time surfing all over the Nicoya Peninsula. After a full semester of school for them and living here, we bought in Playa Grande in 2017, having found our perfect spot. When we aren't in Playa Grande, we are at home on the west coast of Canada, skiing, mountain biking, running rivers, and performing any other mountain adventure.

Why they chose this property

This neighbourhood has a great mix of rentals and long-term locals, is walking distance to the surf, has great restaurants, and is only an hour from the international airport. What more could you ask for?

We offer old cruiser bikes to get around town, some board options if you don't find what you need at the local shop, assistance in booking tours, a great housekeeper who can offer you additional cleaning services, and are always easily accessible if you need assistance.
