Just perfect

This place is absolutely perfect. Right across the street from the beach, walk straight into a quiet section of the beach and perfect waves for surfing or boogie board (grab a lesson right when you enter the beach or rent some boards just a short walk down) with this location you avoid most of the crowds and sales but all the benefits of a beautiful beach. Short walk into town but driving is fine too. We were cringing over the food prices so we went to the small Amero Mercado and got rotisserie chickens, fruit, and drinks to feed everyone on a budget. We paid in us dollars and got CR change (avoided an ATM fee) The house has everything you need and the service was more than I expected. Jimmy(?) checked in with us upon arrival, gave suggestions, made accommodations. I really wouldn’t stay anywhere else, it was perfection. Service was above average. Very clean, tons of supplies. Loved the place.

Perfect family vacation in beautiful Tamarindo

We’re just back from an amazing week in Tamarindo, having enjoyed a lovely family vacation staying at Syd and Lynne’s beautiful place in Tamarindo. The location was ideal, with the beach just a quick walk across the street and shops and restaurants a nearby walk away. It was easy to get around by Uber for those in our group that couldn’t walk as far. We spent a lot of time lounging by the lovely pool, when we weren’t at the beach. We also arranged a couple of tours with the help of Willy, the property manager, and really enjoyed Our outings. The unit where we stayed was perfect for our family of 6 (3kids plus grandma) - comfortable, spacious and well equipped. We had everything we needed and when we had questions or an unexpected need, Willy was super responsive to our texts. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to family and friends. It was perfect!

Fantastic place!

We had a fantastic stay, the unit was clean and the kitchen was fully stocked. Beds were comfortable and the pool area was perfect. This is such a great location, walking distance to the beach and a short golf cart ride to town. The property manager was very responsive and helpful. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Great Location

Perfect location for Tamarindo. Easy to walk to the beach in 5 minutes and a quick 3-5 minute drive to get any where in Tamarindo. Pool was nice at night. The property also has beach chairs and towels for the beach, they came invery handy.

Fun in Costa Rica

Amazing family vacation

The owners were easy to reach and helped out with all the questions we had. The apartment and grounds were gorgeous cool and quiet. Town was maybe a 5 min walk with lots of bustle, shopping and restaurants to explore. The beach was right across the street and the chairs and umbrella that our hosts provided were so great to have. Willy (our local host) was super helpful for reliable, comfortable transportion and suggestions and contacts for all excursions. We would absolutely stay here next time we visit the beautiful country of Costa Rica!

Beautiful!

We just returned from our stay at Casa Blanca. What a gem this place was to stay at. The villa quite comfortably and easily accommodated our five adults. Friendly onsite staff, very clean, with all needed amenities. Grounds were just beautiful, and the location was perfection. We loved the second floor outdoor eating area. Great access to the incredible beach, with just a short beach walk to downtown Tamarindo. We would return to this spot in a heartbeat!!

Great family escape in surf town

We had a great vacation at Casa Blanca 5! It was the perfect amount of space for a family to spread out after a long day on the beach and is so conveniently located. Beach is literally 2 min walk, 8 min walk into town for groceries and endless restaurants. The property is fully loaded with all the essentials and then some, they even had came pans for us to make a birthday cake for my daughter. The management company was quick to respond to any questions and handled everything from the moment we landed at the airport to the moment we left to come home. Thank you for the amazing stay!

Amazing stay!

We just spent 2 weeks at Casa Blanca 5 and it was an incredible time. The place was clean, well stocked with small appliances and utensils, and in the most ideal location in Tamarindo! We loved that it was a bit outside the busy town but close enough for daily walks to grab groceries, etc. It was about a 2-3 minute walk to Tamarindo beach in an area that was perfect for swimming and beginner surfing. The grounds were well maintained and attracted many birds which we all enjoyed watching from our patio. The howler monkeys were also frequently nearby! Willy (property manager), Syd and Lyn (hosts) were incredibly responsive prior to and during our trip. We are already planning our return to Casa Blanca 5 as we can't wait to return to this slice of paradise!

Hidden Gem in Costa Rica

We cannot say enough positive things about this place! Here are the highlights: 1) the entire gated community is beautiful with lush plants and trees; a serene pool to cool off in 2) there are only 6 units in the complex so it’s private and quiet - away from the nightlife but close enough that you can walk to restaurants, bars and shops; it’s also across from the entrance to the beach which was amazing for our family who visited the beach almost daily. 3) the unit was clean and the perfect size for 1 child, 2 teens and 2 adults. 4) The kitchen had everything we needed; there was plenty of space to hang out in (including a nice size deck) and the beds were soft and cozy. 5) The mini split a/c units kept the condo nice and cool! It was hot in CR! 6) last but not least Willy - our concierge - was amazing! He was super helpful from the moment we booked. He answered my questions and made great recommendations. He also went to the grocery for us so we didn’t have to rush there when we arrived. All in all, this spot is a hidden gem in Tamarindo!

Very nice stay

The four retired people that rented this villa didn't find the location quite as perfect as other renters. The dusty road that you need to walk to get into Tamarindo is just that. It's dusty, very dusty and the cars fly by you creating even more dust. Of course, this is not Syd and Lynn's fault. Just thought we should mention it. That being said, we all liked the villa. Thought it was spacious, lots of natural light and a great outdoor space. The restaurants that Syd recommended are spot on but he forgot to mention one. Its a short walk to Langosta called 'Fish and Cheeses' and it is fabulous. We met the owner Walter and had a very lively waiter named Marco. All fresh Italian food. In addition, I would recommend to Syd that he acquire a better motem/router as we had no Wi-Fi in the master bedroom. RPM was very responsive and easy to work with. You can believe the pictures from Syd as they are accurate. The beach is very nice and just a short walk away although it is very windy and you may get sandblasted. We would recommend Syd's villa!

We had a fantastic week at Costa Blanca!

My husband and I had stayed at a bed and breakfast for 3 days before our adult kids joined us so “moving day” for us was a little stressful. We had a golf cart so when we checked out of the b&b at 9am we went directly to the RPM office who happily stored our luggage. The kids were arriving at Casa Blanca around 3 so we had our fingers crossed the condo would be ready by then. We had a lovely day and went grocery shopping and arrived back at the office with our golf cart full at 2:40. Carlos contacted housekeeping and they were not quite done so we loaded all of our goods into the RPM office and went down the street for a glass of wine. Luckily the kids were delayed. We eventually all arrived at the condo at the same time (within the check in time frame) and 2 golf cart runs later, we were checked in. We had keys for a few doors but the really nice part was the coded door locks so we didn’t need to worry who had keys when we went out. The condo was exactly as advertised. The air conditioning worked great. Ice machine was a bonus. It was very clea and housekeeping came in 2 times during the week. The grounds were beautiful and although we shared the pool with the others units, it was never too busy. Everyone had their little schedules so we when we used it we were usually on our own. The best part was the beach! You just walk across the street, down a tiny path and you are overcome by this beautiful canvas. We spent most evenings taking the little beach chairs provided to the beach and enjoying the sunset. The sun went down fairly early so we still had plenty of time for a nice dinner. We did a full day tour zip lining, tubing, horseback riding and hot springs. The kids had surf lessons and did an extra tour with hiking to some waterfallls. Lots of restaraunts. Most very convenient. Night life for the kids. This was our first time to Tamarindo and hope to go back and would love to stay at Casa Blanca again.

Delightful Tamarindo Gated Property

Our group consisting of two parents, two children (7 and 4), and their grandmother stayed for two weeks in April 2023. This villa is in a walled compound with 4 other rental homes. First, the property is stunning with meticulously curated gardens, eating areas and a spacious pool with a deep end for diving and a shallower end for families. At the deeper end of the pool sit a lovely covered seating area and bathroom. The property’s private location is ideal, moments from the beach and a short stroll from great amenities: restaurants, coffee shops, beach clubs, food trucks, and groceries. We did not have a car rental for the majority of our stay and were able to walk to all the nearby amenities. The owners and their property managers were friendly, communicative and went well out of their way to ensure that our stay was exceptional. The property managers offered to obtain groceries for us in advance, for a small fee, which was very thoughtful. We had questions for the property managers occasionally during our stay and they were very responsive and helpful. Inside the home, there are two adjoining bedrooms with an ensuite bathroom, which was nice for our small children. A separate bedroom is located off of the kitchen with a full bathroom adjacent. The home is nicely renovated and the open kitchen, breakfast nook, dining area and living room are spacious and well laid out. The kitchen itself is spacious and great for cooking with modern appliances and a full range of utensils. A large wrap around deck, accessible both via the front door and a side door off the living room, has great views and a clean and new propane BBQ. Each room has independently-controlled air conditioning and fans which made for a very comfortable stay. The in-suite laundry came in handy many times to launder towels and personal clothing items. Given the compound includes 4 other rental homes, our family met a range of families and enjoyed time in the common spaces around the pool with them, which was an unexpected bonus. Playa Tamarindo is a unique soft sand beach with very little elevation change. This makes for dramatic tidal changes and waves ideal for beginner surfers or moderately adventurous boogie boarders. A lockable closet on the wrap-around patio contains a variety of useful beach items. A dedicated parking space with easy automatic gate access is near to the home. We would not hesitate to stay in this accommodation again.

We are 5 adults an a 3 yr old. Pool and beach proximity perfect for our needs. Host had excellent recommendations for restaurants and services I likes that it was a little beyond but a short walk to the busier centre.

Beautiful villa in Tamarindo

The villa is located ideally…easy to access the beach and all amenities in Tamarindo. We didn’t rent a vehicle and found it easy to walk where we wanted to go. The villa itself is spectacular- the perfect space for our family. Willy, the property manager arranged for pick up from the airport and then met us when we arrived. He was thorough in his explanation of the property. Additionally, dealing with Syd, the owner of the property went smoothly- very accommodating of our travel changes. We’d definitely stay here again!

Fabulous property and location

Across the street from the beach, next door to a fabulous new bakery and restaurant (Sofia Mediterranean), great pool on site and the layout of the villa was perfect. Our bedroom was connected via French door to another bedroom that our small children stayed in. It gave us privacy while also giving me the chance to check on the kids whenever I wanted. Great property with a great location!
