For starts great communication with the owner. He is very friendly and accommodating. The place is clean and beds comfortable , had everything we needed and quiet The WIFI Was a little spotty . It is in the 3rd floor and there is not an elevator. The neighborhood was at the beginning a little concerning but we didn’t see or experienced any problems at all. The subway is relatively close. Overall we had a fantastic time at this place we would definitely come back in the future.
This was our first trip to New York so were unsure where it was best to stay. As a family we decided to stay outside of the main tourist area to get more value for money. We weren't disappointed. The apartment was easy to get to and looked exactly as the photos, comfortably sleeping a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenage children). The instructions to get into the apartment were spot on. The apartment was very quiet at night with excellent wifi. The area may look a bit tired but we felt safe at all times, travelling back late at night on occasions. Area is definitely up and coming with many refurbishments of lovely old brick buildings occurring. Lots of local supermarkets to pick up breakfast and picnic food and some good local restaurants available. Transport links by express train and local train provided flexibility into the main tourist areas and were inexpensive especially buying the metro saver card. The only suggestion would be for visitors to the apartment to have some instructions of what to do with the keys when leaving the flat and some instructions on how to use electrical equipment (TV remote and hairdryer as it is different from UK). Fantastic time had by all.
