Maison Marais is located in the very center of Paris (le Marais, the fashionable neighborhood) near Modern art Museum Beaubourg / Center Pompidou and Museum Picasso. Metro Hotel de Ville or Rambuteau. Address is Rue de Montmorency (a lot of galleries on that street, along with the eldest restaurant in Paris “Auberge Nicolas Flamel”).
A townhouse with a private entrance located on the ground floor of a secured ancient paved courtyard with trees. Each windows face the courtyard with trees and greeneries. It is a very quiet place.
The entertaining area is a 40 square meters open space with a dining table for 12 persons, a fully equipped kitchen and a salon. Living room has cable TV. There is a convertible bed in the living room.
The house has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms / toilets plus a playground room that can be used as a 6th bedroom. The sytle is antique Paris with stone walls.
- 1. Master Bedroom has the largest bed 180X200 with a separate shower and toilet.
- 2. The Star Bedroom has a large bed160X200 with an arcade stone shower. A separate toilet located in the corridor can be used also for the entire house.
- 3. The twin Bedroom has two beds 90X200 each, with a separate shower and toilet.
- 4. The bird Bedroom has a large bed of 160X200 with a separate shower and toilet.
Candalabra represents a bird cage.
- 5. The lounge bedroom: a small bedroom with a bed for two 140X200 facing the living room.
- EXTRA ROOM: Underground Playground / TV room: this playground room with a football table has two small beds 90X200. There are two small windows. There is a bathroom and toilet.

We were a group of 10, mostly teens and young adults. The location is fantastic, the neighborhood was good and felt safe. The apt is basic but for the few days we were there it really met all of our needs. I had read about comments regarding the musty smell in the lower level, that was still there to a degree. It is a basement room and it was raining most of the days. Not sure how you could avoid that. One thing i might recommend was that our beds all had fitted sheets but no flat sheets. Host was great, got back to me right away with questions.

Great place for family visiting Paris

I rented this space for my children and grandchildren to stay while on a family vacation in Paris. It has the listed bedrooms and bathrooms. It is clean and the owner had a cleaner come in to tidy up during midweek. It is conveniently located and is a great choice if you need this much space.

Our family group of 9 (3 generations) stayed in this lovely apartment for 8 days in early April, 2026. Things to like: 1. Very clean. 2. Everything is modern and well-kept. 3. Edward is easy to communicate with, and responsive to issues. (We had a problem with the WIFI system. Edward had someone there to fix it the morning we notified him of the problem.) 4. Great location, on a very quiet one-lane street (Montmorency), in a great part of Paris (Marais). For instance, walk out to Montmorency, turn left and in 30 yards turn left again into a wonderful patisserie for your morning croissants. Or turn right at Montmorency, then left at the corner, go one block for cafes, another patisserie, a grocery store, and a fabulous and comparatively inexpensive creperie. 5. The living room has enough space for all to comfortably gather at day’s end to revisit the day’s activities and plan out future sightseeing and dining. 6. The kitchen is well-stocked with equipment, dishes and utensils. Things to be aware of: 1. Don’t judge a book by its cover. Although Parisians seem to be justly proud of their apartment building front doors on the streets (we have a book “The Front Doors of Paris”, which highlights the beautiful front doors in the City), the front door of the apartment building of Edward’s apartment looks to be in pitiful condition, and the passage way from the street to the courtyard his apartment is on looks like the contractor left in a hurry. I don’t know who is responsible for

Fabulous location and accommodation

This apartment is in a perfect location, close to the action, but away from the noise. Plenty of room to allow our party of 9 to have space to escape when needed and large enough common space for us to dine together. Easy walking distance to several Metro stations for easy access to all of Paris. Variety of ethnic and local food options within 5 minutes walk. I absolutely would stay here again!!
