This lovely holiday home in Plouer sur Rance has been completely renovated and redecorated in 2016.
4km from the village of Plouër sur Rance, La Channais is a quaint hamlet in the heart of the countryside and only a short walk down to the river Rance. This old cottage has the advantage of staying cool in hot weather in summer and warms very well in winter with the wood stove, plus the radiators. It is the perfect place to have a break away from the crowds.
On the ground floor, the living room is decorated with charming objects, furnished with a comfortable sofas and armchairs, a wood stove promises cozy evenings with family or friends in the summer as the winter. The well equipped kitchen opens onto a beautiful garden with a private courtyard for yourselves. Only a virtual fence seperates your garden from the garden of the main house so you can profit from the beautiful views and sense of space. The kitchen is equipped with a large oven, microwave and induction plate, fridge, freezer and a dishwasher. In a side room, you will find the laundry room with washing machine and dryer and coffe machine.
Upstairs, the master bedroom with its bathroom offers a magnificent view of the garden and paddocks A large bed of 160 x 200cm and delightful antique furniture make this room extremely relaxing.
The landing leads to a second bedroom with twin beds of 100 x 200cm also furnished with charming antique furniture. The third bedroom could also be used as an office or dressing room. There is a large shower room for these two bedrooms .
The river Rance runs in a beautiful valley offering many walks, for hikers, on foot, by bike or by car. From the house you can walk down to La Moinerie at the edge of the water in less than 10 minutes.
La Channais is located on the renowned footpath of Bois Rochel (11km).
The most beautiful beaches of northern Brittany, Dinard, St Lunaire, St Enogat, Lancieux are also less than half an hour from this house.
The famous and charming medieval town of Dinan is exceptional in France and is just 8 km away. You must visit Le Mont Saint Michel and it is possible to go for a walk in the bay for the more sporty of you. The corsair town of Saint Malo is 25 kms by the dual carraigeway and there are many lovely shops. The seaside resort of Dinard and its magnificent villas of the 19th century is to see. The coastal path runs along the Rance and on the coast and the views are extraordinary.
