Awesome ocean views!

Someone knows how to decorate. The condominium looks recently updated with new paint and furnishings. Excellent condition. Quiet efficient air conditioning. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the condominium to other’s seeking a first class experience. The new Captain Jacks restaurant on-site is a real plus for dining.

Fabulous condo with a beautiful view!

We spent 10 days at this fabulous condo with amazing ocean and island views! The location was a perfect home base for daily excursions and dinners out in Lagains and Kapalua. We will definitely be back for another stay hopefully during whale watching season!

Perfect stay

Location of the property was perfect. My kids loved that the beach was right outside the property and that there was a heated pool and jacuzzi. The hotel had a restaurant which was easy to go get food from. Amazing ocean view from balcony and living room. Would recommend to anyone and would definitely stay again! The property is also a short walk to many coffee shops and restaurants.

20th Anniversary Extravaganza

My wife and I absolutely loved staying at the Sands of Kahana with our friends! The whole experience was just amazing. The accommodation were wonderful. The home was cleaned, we had all we needed. The only draw back, and it was a small one, there was no AC. We knew this before hand so it wasn’t a surprise. Leaving all of the doors open made a nice cross wind, no one was ever really uncomfortable. I would definitely rent this place again!

Absolutely Beautiful View

The view of the property is unbelievable gorgeous! Host Joe responded to our message very quickly. The condo has everything we needed, but didn’t equip with AC which was not a big of deal. Property is a little out of date but it was clean. We enjoyed our stay and will book again in the future.

Unbeatable view, perfect beach for swimming

Some of the best sleep I’ve had in years — that comfortable bed looking out to the ocean. The sound of the waves was heavenly! We’ll equipped kitchen. No AC, but the breeze that passes right the unit kept the place plenty cool at night. Unit provided towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, and a cooler. I liked how this building had the amenities of a hotel but the vibe of a residence. Covered parking kept the car cool. Layout was a little funny!

Fantastic

Condo has amazing views and is roomier than expected. No ac is this condo but we did not need it being on the 4th floor we got a nice breeze. It came with everything we needed. Bring a good pair of binoculars and you can get awesome views of humpback whales breeching during January. We've been to Maui several times and we will would love to stay here again! Joe our host answered all our pre-arrival questions very promptly. Thx!!!

Enjoyable stay at Sands of Kahana

This was our first time staying on Maui's west side. This unit certainly lived up to and exceeded our expectations. The complex: The Sands of Kahana is a nice complex of four buildings right on the oceanfront. The management seems to keep up with maintenance as there were no signs of disrepair. The pool, grounds, and grills were cleaned every day. Each building has an atrium which was a little of an echo chamber, but overall the noise level was fine. There was always plenty of parking in the building's garage or the exterior lot. Check-in was painless. The Unit: The unit was exceptionally well outfitted. It was nicely decorated (pictures are accurate) and up-to-date. In the. bedrooms, the beds were clean and comfortable with plenty of dressers and closets (which included some beach chairs and boogie boards for our use). Most everything we could ask for was in the kitchen and the appliances were new and worked well. One addition that would be nice would be some grill utensils as the grills are very hot and there weren't any good utensils to work with the grills. Unit included wifi and has a nice large TV that we only used once to watch a football game. The view: Amazing - can't say much more than that. The location: This is the only item I gave a slight "ding" on. The beach at Kahana is suffering from severe erosion and has sand bags on parts of the beach. It was fine for swimming (snorkeling was a bit murky due to sand stirred up in the water, but we did see 6+ turtles just off the point to the south one time out - really cool) but don't expect to go on long beach walks as it pretty much ends north of the Sands of Kahana due to erosion. We were told by the staff that for part of the summer the erosion was so bad that it was only rocks, but in the last month a good amount of sand returned with the winter currents. In closing, we really enjoyed our time at this unit and were sad to leave it. The owner was great to work with and truly helped make sure the unit was special. Highly recommended.

The place was amazing! Loved the view the accommodations the beach captain jack’s pretty much everything. I would highly recommend this condo 345! It’s beautifully decorated comfortable and my family loved it! I stayed in many VRBOs - family traveling and coaching and this was the best place I have ever stayed!

Very Nice Relaxing Time

I've stayed in many properties over the years both in Hawaii and many other foreign lands. This is truly the best! Reason being, great ocean view, large unit with nice sized bedrooms and beds. Everything you could need to prepare a meal is in the kitchen. Nice TV's in all rooms. With all that being said than their is Joseph the host who is very accommodating. Great Vacation spot!

Great location and lots of space

Overall the stay was wonderful and the property lived up to the listing. We had a few hiccups that were resolved reaching out to the host. Location was really wonderful and right between some of our favorite parts in Maui. Even for being in the middle of July, the condo stayed cool and cooled off easily at night, no one complained of being too hot at all. Condo was outfitted with everything we needed to stay for 8 nights and our kids had a lot of space to play and unwind from busy days.

Great view with large living area

Great spot in Kahana. We were pleasantly surprised at how big this unit was. Fantastic views and gorgeous sunsets. Great pool and restaurant on site. Great beach and snorkeling with turtles coming right up to shore. Local restaurants with great food and a market nearby. We cooked often in the fully equipped good size kitchen! We will be back!

Absolutely loved this place!

What a perfect place to stay with your family! My husband and I brought my mom for her 60th birthday along with our 2 kids (8 month old and 6 year old). Not only is the place huge, it has every accommodation to entertain any age. The view was so gorgeous, we saw whales three of the days and many turtles on a daily basis. Definitely plan to book again. Thank you!!

Height of master bed was unexpected. Using a foot stool to get in bed was a pain. Pigeon spikes in outside flower bed not deterring pigeons. Overall, an enjoyable stay. Would do it again if master bed is lowered.

outstanding property

Stunning views, great bedrooms, bathrooms & kitchen. we watched a lot of whale activity from the balcony for hours everyday. Joe, the host, was very responsive when we called. the condo was super clean and easy. the beds & showers were great. ate on the property at the Beach House a few lunches & dinners, which were enjoyable. close to snorkeling at Kapalua there is also a great hike there.

Winter getaway

We rented this unit with another couple. The place was so spacious it felt like home with two full master suites. The view from the 4th floor out to the ocean was amazing. We saw many whales playing around and even a few who breached. We also saw turtles swimming around along the shoreline. The beach access was incredible and the pool was inviting. We also enjoyed The Beach House restaurant and ate breakfast, dinner and happy hour there. I would recommend this to anyone in need of space along with comfort.

Beautiful stay!

The unit was exactly as pictured. We had a wonderful stay for over a week. The view is even better than pictured. We could see whales from the beach and balcony, and we saw sea turtles on the beach as well. The proximity to the beach was perfect for a family with littles. We stayed during a busy time and were able to get chairs at the beach or pool without a problem. The shallow kids pool was perfect for our 3 year old to swim in! There are a couple of restaurants and a small convenience store in walking distance. The unit itself was lovely and the kitchen was stocked with some basic things. Plenty of dishes and cookware to cook and eat there when we wanted to. There were plenty of bath towels, a set of beach towels, and some sand toys. We would definitely stay here if we return to Maui!

Ocean Oasis

This property had everything a family needed to make their Maui vacation the best one ever!! It was my first time, but my son’s family has been many times and they said this place rocked!
