Mentioned in Herman Melville’s famed book, Moby Dick, Sag Harbor lies just between the villages of East Hampton and Southampton, and North of Bridgehampton, in the heart of the Hamptons. Settled in the early 1700s Sag Harbor became a prosperous harbor and the first commercial port in the United States.
Today it boasts the most fantastic restaurants, boutique shops, galleries, vineyards, a beautiful harbor, beaches and so much more. We can provide lots of recommendations!
The Hampton Jitney comes into the center of town and is a 12 minute walk to the house. Alternatively, if you drive, there are two parking spaces on the property, and ample parking on adjacent streets and immediately in front of the house.
To note:
The stairs are the original 1893 staircase, so are steeper than a modern staircase, there is a stair gate at the top of the stairs
The house is on a main road in Sag Harbor Village so traffic can be heard. Although the backyard is fully fenced.
