About this property

Pet-Friendly, Furnished by Day, Week or Month

Kids are free, so do not put the number of kids in your request for an estimate, or the web site will happily interpret them as extra adults at $50/night. Please note that short-term rentals in San Antonio are obliged to charge you a tax as of January, 2019. This applies if you are renting for less than 30 days and if you are NOT on government travel. The estimate you will get when you plug in your travel dates will include this tax, but I can remove it manually if you qualify.

This is a very cute, secure house on the edge of Beacon Hill, just off I-10, and very close to downtown, the Riverwalk, our military bases and our hospitals.

The house was completely remodeled in 2018, with furnishings and design selected by a professional designer. The future tea garden is in a private fenced area in back of the house is a work in progress, but already has a barbecue and seating.

The house and garden are designed to accommodate your dog with doggie door and fenced back yard.

I encourage monthly stays with a large discount.

I have tried to think of everything you might need, and the house contains all the amenities.

You will be within five minutes of Woodlawn Lake Park, which is a 20-30 acre lake with a path around it, swimming pool, dog park, playground, lawns, grills, benches, bird watching, people watching, docks and parades. Our favorite parade is the doggie parade in the Fall. A couple that stayed with us recently were on their way to Big Bend to photograph birds. They told me they had added 10 new birds to their Lifelist while at Woodlawn Lake.

There is a washer and dryer, ironing board and iron, detergent, and bleach supplied.

I do not drop in uninvited, but I will be at your doorstep if you so much as see a bug or need a light bulb changed or need to have something repaired. We are nearby and we are enthusiastic about our work. Lucy's job is to keep you busy while Jack and Jill locate and flip coins over any scraps of food they see. I try to focus on the problem, because getting involved with those three when they're in a rascal mood never ends well.

Amazing Little House Close to Everything in San Antonio!
Loved my stay at Jason's house in San Antonio!! Super easy check in process to the beautiful property!! It is perfectly located 10-15 minutes away from everything in San Antonio. The house was beautiful and clean, had all needed amenities (including a hair dryer), and has a doggy door in the bedroom for the pups. Jason is the best host - he gave great recommendations for coffee, restaurants, and more in San Antonio, and stocked the house with beverages & coffee. The house was perfect for me and my 2 dogs. We will definitely stay here again when we make it back to San Antonio. Thank you so much Jason!

Comfortable and Close to Everything!
We enjoyed our stay here so much, and our two pups did as well! The house is the perfect size for 2 as well as the yard - even for bigger dogs. Another plus is everything is within a 10 minute or less drive - just perfect! Wonderful amenities and check-in and out was a breeze. We would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Best property manager we could have asked for.
We’d asked for a few items and he followed through immediately.. The house had been totally rebuilt and very clean with new modern kitchen appliances.. Our dog loved the convenience of the doggy door. Nice to have the washer and drier.

I'm 70 and retired from fire fighting. I've been a surfer all my life, and spent my retirement savings on this place down in Costa Rica. To support my aquatic habits, I run five pet-friendly vacation rentals in San Antonio, Texas. I live with my two Vizslas, Jack and Jill, and my boxer Lucy, in a cottage next to one of my rentals.

Why they chose this property

You will love the community that is in this neighborhood. The friendly people, the restaurants withing walking distance, the historic buildings. It's very near downtown San Antonio, but it seems like its own small town - in fact, it probably once was its own town.

What makes this property unique

Antique shops, close to bus routes or a short drive to zoo, downtown, River Walk, etc.
