EX CONVENT OF CAPPUCCINI
Not far from the historic center of the medieval village of Belmonte Calabro, there is the ancient Convent of the Capuchins built in 1611. It is immediately welcomed by the Church of San Giuseppe and its bell tower where the Romanesque architectural style is recognizable. From here you enter inside the Ex Convent and you are immediately greeted in the beautiful cloister where the well-cistern is located and on two sides the sundials, used to read the time.
Ex Convent | house with vegetable garden is located in a wing of the Ex Convent. The holiday home has an independent entrance and is surrounded by a huge private garden-vegetable garden: a splendid centenary citrus grove, an olive grove, vegetable gardens cultivated according to the principles of organic farming and a synergistic vegetable garden cultivated for Ex Convento guests | house with vegetable garden. From all the windows you have a wonderful view of the natural landscape, made up of campaigns and pristine hills. From the garden you have a panoramic view of the Calabrian coast, the Tyrrhenian Sea and, on a clear day, the Stromboli volcano and the archipelago of the Aeolian Islands.
Calabria is also an ideal winter refuge for those fleeing the cold. With over 300 days of sunshine a year, even in the middle of winter there are beautiful sunny days. It also boasts the lowest number of rainy days throughout Italy.
