About this property

Casa Lorca overlooks the bay

Lounge around the salt water infinity pool, enjoy the amazing Bay views, have a masseuse come to your Casa and be served by your own private chef. Our guest services team can help with setting up anything you desire during your stay. You never need to leave the Villa!

Villa Poema de Amor is visible from anywhere on Sayulita Bay and perfectly located. Perched on the south end of the bay, directly above Villa Amor, Villa Poema de Amor with it's iconic blue domes, features beautiful views of the jungle, ocean, Sayulita Bay, beach and town.

Casa Lorca is a charming studio with King bed, full kitchen, beautiful bathroom with large shower, expansive terrace accented by exquisite green ironwork with table, palapa and 2 lounge chairs overlooking the ocean and Bay. Come be inspired by the love and creativity evident throughout Casa Lorca.

Swim in the salt water infinity pool with expansive ocean views or lounge on your terrace. Casa Lorca is on the 1st floor and has easy access to the pool. Sleeps 1-2 .

Sayulita has become mucho popular for its romantic bay views, rustic-chic surfing vibe and its unique Bohemian lifestyle! As a bi-product, there are many new buildings going up across the whole town. (We have an inactive site next to us that has been inactive for over a year and no signs of being finished so our Villa is quieter than most places in town. )

The same gorgeous peaceful views from our salt water infinity pool and deck await you as well as the calm lull of the ocean waves at night.

Town and the beaches are a 15 minute walk on the back dirt and cobblestone roads. We suggest you have a flashlight with you when walking at night. We also suggest renting a golf cart which our guest services team will gladly help you set up and have delivered to the Villa. Most of our guests say this was one of the most fun parts of their stay!:) We can accommodate 4 golf carts in our gated parking area and there are charging outlets available.
There are also taxi's available to and from town for $5-$7 each way.

This is a fabulous opportunity to stay at one of the most beautiful and iconic Villas in Sayulita. Perched on the hill on the south side of the bay, you can see our majestic blue domes and elegant rounded architecture from anywhere on the Bay!

Absolutely amazing
I cannot say enough… this place is amazing! We had the best time in Sayulita. The Villa is so beautiful, we stayed in Casa Lorca. No one else was there, we had it all to ourselves! The pool is perfect and the lush gardens are too gorgeous to put into words. Such a bummer that a large monstrosity building is being built next door but looks like construction has halted?? I am sure they will figure out some sort of trees to hide it. We rented a golf cart from Gaby Golf Carts- they were so helpful- even when I lost the key on the beach!! The Villa was so clean and well taken care of. Housekeeping came every other day, washed our dishes and gave us fresh towels. Omar, the host-was helpful with local information, setting up airport transportation, planning excursions and everything else we needed. I cannot wait to back! Casa Lorca is truly a gem!

Private nest
If you're looking to get away from the big resorts and want a private love nest, this is the place. The property manager helped us with transportation, local spots, and was always just a text away from questions we had. I wanted a romantic getaway for my birthday and this place is straight out of a romance novel. Cons: -the locks on the doors can be a little confusing and sticky from the rain but just be patient and you'll get it. -It is highly recommended you rent a golf cart to get down the hill and into town. We did and it was the best thing we could've done for getting around town. -Not the villas fault but there was a bad thunderstorm on our last night with so much rain and wind it flooded our floor a little. Luckily we had enough towels and the rain subsided. We noticed it early so picked up our things and it got the rugs soaked but no more than that. Con for living in a tropical environment. I hope this place doesn't change and continues to be a private getaway for couples that love poema de amor.

Just Lovely
My husband and I really enjoyed Casa Lorca. We had a beautiful interior space that was adorned with thoughtful and stylish decorating. The balcony gave us a beautiful view. We had plenty of room for a week stay. The kitchen had everything we needed including water for drinking and cooking. Relaxing and a great place for mind, body and spirit.

Not relaxing at all
A five story building is currently under construction directly next-door to Poema de amor. Every weekday from 8 AM till 5 PM you will hear and see the building crews. The only privacy during work hours will come with closed curtains and indoors. We never used our balcony or enjoyed the views. The apartment is as beautiful as the pictures. Very well built and finished. It came with all necessary kitchen and beach necessities. The location is fantastic. A cautionary word about the quick stroll into town however. You will be walking a steep, unlit and unmarked path through a cemetery. It didn’t bother us but did our upstairs neighbors. My wife and I got away for a few days of peace and quiet. We felt disappointed and mislead when both privacy and quiet were nonexistent at the premium price.

When I am not overlooking the beautiful bay of Sayulita, I live in a small, culturally rich town, Ashland, in Southern Oregon. Home of the Oregon Shakespearean Festival, Ashland offers great theater, a vibrant arts community and lots of good restaurants! I am a realtor and also teach Psychology at Southern Oregon University. I have a passion for poetry and for being on water which are the two inspirations for my designing and building Villa Poema de Amor, Villa Love Poem.

Why they chose this property

What Makes this Villa Unique?
Designed by architect, Miquel Valverdez and built by Arturo Fernandez, Villa Poema de Amor is like no other villa in Sayulita. Perched on the south tip of the bay it has beautiful views of the jungle, Sayulita Bay, beach and town. The architecture too, is unique. Inspired by my travels to Greece, the blue cupolas can be seen from most anywhere in Sayulita, right above Villa Amor. All the rooms are furnished with custom built and carved furniture and many pieces are curved like the soft rounded walls. Every detail has been thoughtfully designed and artfully made by local artisans, including hand painted sinks, hand carved furniture and mirrors, playful accents in the ceramic floors, unique and custom wrought iron railings and accents and carefully chosen art. The rounded brick cupolas in every room of the top floor, Casa Rumi, are architecturally stunning. This romantic villa was lovingly crafted with attention paid to every detail.

In designing Villa Poema I wanted to reflect the romance of this exquisite location overlooking the sea, naming it Villa Poema de Amor after my two passions…love and poetry. I named each of the individual casas after poets: Tucked below, Casita Zen, is named after the poet that created the Villa, First floor, Casa Hafiz (Persian poet Hafiz) & Casa Lorca (Spanish poet Fredrico Garcia Lorca); second floor, Casa Neruda (Chilean poet, Pablo Neruda); and third floor, Casa Rumi (world’s most revered love poet, Persian poet, Rumi).

I look forward to sharing this very special place with you and hope you will enjoy your memories long after.

What makes this property unique

Why Sayulita
I first came to Sayulita in 2003 and fell in love with what was, at the time, a sleepy little fishing and surfing village! While Sayulita has become far more popular and discovered since then, it has always kept me in awe of its natural beauty. I still enjoy walking on the beach, and all the wonderful options for yoga in town. For a small town Sayulita also has a lot going on, many activities to enjoy and nearby places to explore.
