Tucked between the Atlantic Ocean and Albemarle Sound in the middle of a 100-acre Maritime Forest, Beachwoods Resort is surrounded by lakes, woodlands, wetlands, rolling dunes and wildlife. It is a unique destination on the famous Outer Banks of North Carolina and sits adjacent to a 700-acre nature preserve.

Enjoy the outdoor recreation park which includes tennis, volleyball and basketball courts. Relax by one of the on-site pools, in the Lakeside Lodge or while fishing from the shore. The resort features spacious accommodations and provides a perfect family retreat during any season.

The resort is a campus style property. The units are separate from the welcome center and require you to walk or drive to the pool and lodge area.

- All rooms require entry by going up stairs.

- All Guest Suites along with the pool area are Non-Smoking.

- Please note that every attempt will be made to accommodate requests for suite location and early arrivals; however, these requests are based on availability and occupancy. Unfortunately, the resort is unable to guarantee room location.

- Minimum age requirement for check-in is 21 years of age.
- Pets are not permitted and strictly enforced with the exception of Service Animals.

Check in time will be at 4pm, check out time will be at 10am. All other arrangements to check in early or late check out, must be arranged with the resort directly, after we have confirmed your room.

When Checking In: A photo identification, credit card for a $100 refundable security deposit.

ADDITIONAL FEE S DUE AT CHECK IN: $25 per day resort fee.

Resort Fee Includes: Outdoor pool, indoor pool and waterpark, activity center, fitness center, lakeside lodge, paddle boats, fishing, nature trails, beach parking, tennis court, basketball court, bocce ball, playground, croquet, beach volleyball, and picnic areas.

A $100 refundable authorization is due at check in to cover incidentals, it will be released at check out.

A detailed confirmation letter with check in instructions, late arrival info, check in and out times, local info, everything you need will be sent via email once you make your final payment on the reservation. If you pay in full, we ll send the confirmation letter right away.

Disappointed

False advertising by the owner. Property does not have a king size bed. No bedding at all for the very uncomfortable pullout couch. Old food and trash under the couch. Talked with the front desk they said never book through Vrbo because you never know what you will get. Did not offer anything for our inconvenience.

Could’ve been a whole better!

Check in process was nice and also the staff, the advertisement for this location was completely off, when we arrived to beach woods the front of the resort was lovely, when we got to our room we were surprised at how the room was, we saw so many big black ants in the kitchen area, the bed was supposed to be a king size which it wasn’t, we had stains on the couch, and carpet wasn’t clean. We felt like our money was wasted, we were so disappointed we left early. I’m not trying to knock the place I just think for the amount of money you put out it should be sooo much better.

Nice place but....

VRBO insisted that no communication said we were booked at Sea Scape. Just look at the title of this review. We were booked at the Beachwoods and it led to a lot of confusion. We were charged a cleaning fee by VRBO and then told by the resort staff that VRBO does not do cleaning. We were then charged a resort fee that was totally unexpected. Oh...VRBO was supposed to send us information on that which for some reason didn't happen. The resort was a decent place to stay but very low shower water pressure, you have to call for clean towels, and you have to take your own garbage to the dumpster. It was a place to sleep. Oh, the pull out couch was a queen but again no mattress cover or blankets.

Get away

The property was great, VRBO miss represented the property. Was shown as having a King size bed, it did not. There were extra charges not mentioned online. Property Mgr. was very helpfull in getting us a unit with a king.

The property was clean but barren; I would compare to a hotel room at best. There was hardly any kitchen equipment - 4 place setting and no extra anything to cook. If I had to stay for a week I would not have had enough necessary to make meals each day. The noise above us from constant running children woke us at 2 am and again at 7 am. The weather was terrible but not anyone’s fault; I would recommend a few personal touches and better supplies.

Great Stay in Kitty Hawk, NC

Recently made my first trip to Kitty Hawk, NC, and stayed in a 1 bedroom condo at the Beachwoods Resort. The room was large, clean and well maintained. I felt right at home with large TVs (bedroom and family room), two full bathrooms and a full kitchen. My stay at the resort was excellent. Spent time enjoying the local area, food, fishing, and the beach. Highly recommend the Beachwoods Resorts when traveling to the area.
