Weekend Wedding Getaway

We enjoyed our stay and found the retreat to be very well appointed. The golf cart was perfect for poking around Serenbe, and we loved the shops and restaurants. We were in town for a wedding nearby, and wished we had more time to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Great Getaway

We went to The Retreat for a one night local getaway. The house was great with plenty to do (ping pong, corn hole, foosball) and the golf cart was a VERY convenient benefit as the local community had plenty of golf cart parking. While we went for a special occasion, there is plenty to do outside of the nice restaurants - horseback riding, miles of trails, unique shops, unique kids parks. We are even thinking about our next stay with the kids! Definitely recommend staying here if you want to enjoy Serenbe.

Great place for a quick getaway

We stayed overnight for a quick getaway to Serenbe. Great location. Having Golf cart available was fun and convenient. Owners were very quick to respond to last minute questions. Although we didnt use it the kitchen was nicely stocked.

This house was the perfect place to unwind, cook dinner, and share conversation. The house was unique and comfy. It was clean and it provided everything we needed. We enjoyed the creative space both indoors and outdoors. W felt safe and secure!

What a treat

My husband and I stayed at the RETREAT on our wedding night, and we could not be happier with our decision. The home was sparkling clean, the hosts were incredibly communicative, the golf cart was an amazing bonus, and Serenbe is just such a peaceful place. Perfect location in easy walking distance to a handful of local shops (shout out Halsa, the food was delicious) and a short golf cart ride away from all else Serenbe has to offer. Our dog was also able to stay with us for our last night, which was such a wonderful treat as we had missed her from being apart for a few days. 10/10 recommend!!!

Great place in Serenbe!

We very much enjoyed our stay at The Retreat. It is a small, individual home in a prime spot in Serenbe. Perfect for social distancing while still enjoying a great neighborhood, great restaurants and outdoors activities. We brought 2 teenage boys who loved the upstairs loft and especially loved the golf cart! The place is quaint and perfectly set up with everything you would want. Clean and well appointed. A perfect getaway for a night/weekend from Atlanta! We will be back and will tell our friends.

Quaint and Just Ok

The house was cute and quaint. The ladder to access the additional beds was super steep and didn’t seem safe to access in the middle of the night if the restroom was needed. The couch wasn’t super comfortable and definitely needs updated. Overall the property was cute but before we went to bed we noticed cockroaches in the kitchen which was just gross and not what we expect when renting a property.

The property was clean and nicely remodeled. Our problems were that the second bathroom you have to walk outside to use. And the loft area where there are two beds requires going up a very steep ladder. These are not stairs. It is a ladder. Almost impossible to bring a suitcase or anything else up there. Luckily it was two teen girls who didn’t mind walking up and down the ladder to sleep. But many many people would not feel comfortable on this steep of a ladder.Also the temperature control up in the loft is very difficult. You could not put little kids or older people up there despite there being two beds.

The home itself was clean and well maintained, and the hosts were responsive and kind in their communication.That said, there were several important details that significantly impacted our stay and are worth noting for future guests. The listing advertised 1.5 bathrooms, but the half bathroom was located in the garage and required going outside and down to a lower level. With below-freezing temperatures and young children, this bathroom was not reasonably usable, and our family of four effectively had one bathroom for the duration of the stay.Additionally, the oven was not functioning during our visit. We specifically chose a home rental with a kitchen because our son has food allergies, so this was a meaningful limitation for us.It’s also important to note that the loft area is accessed only by a steep ladder, which made carrying luggage impractical and would be a safety concern for families with young children or anyone with mobility considerations. The main entrance to the home is also up a full flight of stairs, which is worth being aware of for guests with children, strollers, or luggage.This property may be a good fit for some travelers, but for families or guests expecting multiple usable indoor bathrooms, a fully functional kitchen, and easier access to sleeping areas, these details are important to know in advance.

Be aware of the stairs to the front door and ladder to the loft -- but if that works for you (it did for us!) then you'll love it! The place was so cute and comfortable, in a great location, and the golf cart was awesome. Loved our time in Serenbe and this was the perfect place to stay.

Charming and peaceful getaway

The Retreat at Anders North was the perfect spot for our family. It was cozy but had all the amenities we needed. Susan and Bobby were wonderful hosts and easy to communicate with. We will definitely be back.

Nice stay in Serenbe

We were so happy to find a pet-friendly home in Serenbe for a week-long stay! It is convenient to amenities, and the golf cart made it even more so (although the headlights did not work so night-time travel was limited). The beds were comfy, the bath was spacious, and the kitchen was well-stocked with dishes and pots/pans. The garage was a fun space with ping-pong and air hockey when the weather was not sweltering. We were not really prepared for the steepness and number of outside stairs nor did we realize there was no access outside from the living space without using those stairs ... it was a bit difficult for our 12-year-old dog several times a day. The community itself is lovely, and we will definitely return to visit again!

Cozy Retreat in Great Serenbe Neighborhood

Serenbe is a great place to staycation and just live. Love the serenity and this home is so close to the walkable amenities of the community. The trip went fast and we wish we could stay longer. Right size for a family of four with little ones. If anything, we could have used an extra bathroom, the one in garage was nice but not convenient all the time.

Fun Short Visit

Serenbe was a fun 2 night visit. There are several adorable restaurants and the food was farm to table delicious. The property was very cute, with a nice kitchen and perfect for two. The golf cart was handy as there is construction in the area and walking to some of the farther restaurants would have been difficult. This property was pet friendly, as was the area. We had a fun time relaxing in the country!
