Welcome to Timber Lodging! Our beautiful secluded log cabin is located just over an hour from Columbus nestled on 16 acres in Hocking Hills Ohio. Whether you just want to relax or enjoy the many activities from hiking, cycling, mountain biking, ATV riding, or fishing, there is no better place to start from than right here.

Hocking River and Lake Hope are just minutes away. The Zaleski State Forest at Lake Hope offers some of the best hiking in Ohio. For the Kayakers and fishermen that want to visit the area, Burr Oak State Park is another favorite just 25 minutes east of Nelsonville, with great boating and fishing opportunities.

Kick back and relax with a fire going while reading a great book or watching a favorite on the 55" LED TV. Challenge your family and friends to a game of 8-ball on the pool table.

The dining area has a beautiful Amish-built walnut table for your family and friends to enjoy a great meal and play a favorite card game. The cabin has a king bed master on the first floor and two queen beds in the loft.

There is also a queen pull-out sofa in the basement.

The updated back porch features a new 6-person Jacuzzi tub that is sure to soak up any stress and leave you feeling refreshed for your next adventure. We also have a gas grill located on the new deck for easier access to outdoor cooking.

Rental Rates are based on a 4-person occupancy. Max occupancy is six guests. We do have two security cameras, one above the rear porch facing the garage and driveway and the other on the right side of the front door.

Great Place Near Hockinghills, Athens and Nelsonville

Stayed here for Nelsonville Music Festival and was a nice drive to and from the festival with a great place to stay and keep cool. Close vanity to short hikes I did in the area and breweries down in Athens as well! Highly recommend for a hub to stay in or as a staycation the entire time!

Birthday get away

We had such a nice weekend staying here. The hot tub was awesome, the fire pit was relaxing, and the beds were very comfy! We celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday and a send off for a friend who’s leaving for the Navy. It was a really memorable/special weekend for all of us.

Cozy cabin getaway

My husband and I stayed for two days during the week in January '25. It was hovering around 0 degrees. We found the cabin to be very well stocked which is good since there are no stores close by. It was private, picturesque setting. We cooked all our meals there and the kitchen had everything we needed. Fireplace was warm and cozy, firewood was available and convenient to pay for. We would stay there again!

Great Place for a much needed break.

Super clean, and good as or better than pictured. Everything we needed was there for a relaxing weekend. Great modern hot tub, everything we needed in the kitchen too. Fireplace, pool table.. we used it all. Even the games in the closet! This will go on our return list for sure.

Secluded and peaceful

Really enjoyed this cabin. Hot tub and fire pit are well maintained and the cabin is well-appointed. Motorcyclists beware, the cabin is on a gravel road with a thick gravel driveway. It is manageable but not ideal for heavier road bikes.

The cabin was as advertised. Very clean and comfortable, everything was up to date. The host was friendly and responsive. It was a little tricky to find, so pay attention to your GPS and the host's tips. Beautiful pond in front of the cabin, and a great swing on the porch. 5 star jacuzzi tub also.

The Best!

I researched many A-frames, cabins, lofts, chalets, and homes in the Hocking Hills area. I felt super lucky to have snagged this one last minute. It had everything we were looking for and more. The lodge and surrounding property are in pristine condition. Super clean, well appointed with all you need to have a relaxing stay. We loved the hot tub and fire! Again, everything was perfect and I feel so lucky to have stayed here. We hope to be back again!

Slightly disappointed

Overall it was another great stay. We were just a little disappointed that only half the jets were working in the jacuzzi. It was the main reason I purchased another few days there for my wife’s birthday. We stayed a year and half ago and loved the awesome jacuzzi tub as well as the beautiful clean lodge. All in all we probably would stay again as long as we checked ahead to make sure everything was working

Beautiful cabin in the woods

My husband said "find us a cabin in the woods" and I did. This cabin was very clean, had all the essentials and was beautiful on the inside and out. Peaceful morning porch time even when it was raining. Relaxing time in the hot tub after a day of adventures. Comfortable beds to sleep in at night. Nice covered dock to fish from(we will definitely bring our fishing rods next time) Good communication with the owner. We would definitely stay here again!!

Get away

The stay was great. The cabin was awesome. Only one issue. The fan in the master bedroom wasn’t working. It was at first then it froze. Other than that we all enjoyed the property. We would rent again, for sure

This cabin was immaculately clean and the kitchen was well-equipped. The beds were probably the best we've ever found in a rental. The deck is large and the jets in the hot tub are of high quality. We enjoyed the firepit as well as the indoor fireplace. If you are a lover of natural beauty, privacy, peace and quiet, then this is for you.

The cabin and property was absolutely Beautiful.The hot tub was fabulous. The downstairs was excellent with a great Pool Table, TV and Dart Board. My husband loved grilling on the big Web Grill.. We are Never disappointed when we stay at the beautiful cabin. Its really nice to see the owners put money back into the property to continue to get everything up to date and top notch. We will never stay any while else when we come down here. Thanks Ryan and Robin for great communication and a great stay again.

We arrived right on time 4:00 pm, to receive a phone call once we had pulled onto the property that it had not been cleaned yet. We ran to town which is 30 minutes away one way. When we got back it had been cleaned. I’m amazed one person can clean an entire house in 90 minutes, change the sheets on 3 beds, and put out clean towels.
