About this property

Charming cottage on the Wine Route - SPA and sauna

We welcome you to our 18th century Alsatian house, completely renovated in 2016.
The house is located in Gueberschwihr, a small medieval and picturesque town on the Alsace Wine Route.
You will be ideally located to discover the charms of Alsace, its vineyards, its villages and its gastronomy.
Distant 15km from Colmar, 5 km from Eguisheim ( "preferred French Village 2013"), 80km from Strasbourg, 60 km from Switzerland and 30km from Germany.
The village has a bakery, a pharmacy, restaurants, doctors, dentist.

The house is located above the village, quiet, making you enjoy a view of the back garden of the house, and the plain of Alsace and the Black Forest elsewhere.
The hiking trails are directly accessible in front of the house.

On the ground floor, you will have a laundry room equipped with a washing machine, a dryer and a wellness area (sauna).

On the 1st floor, you have
- an open space of 25m2 consisting of an open kitchen and a living room. Convertible sofa available. Terrace Access
- a master bedroom with shower room, bed 200 * 160
- a separate toilet

On the second floor you have;
- a child's bedroom with a 190 * 140 bed
- a bathroom

- a bedroom with a 200 * 160 bed

Very cosy and very tasty, enough space for a family of 6, nice little garden and terrace. A good place to stay in Alsace, outside the busy hustle of the famous villages and still near enough to visit them. Very quiet village with a few small shops, no tourist hotspot, very authentic. Great!!

The owner expectation

At first the owner could not meet us the agreed at check-in time. We had to protest in order to check-in as planned. The we were criticised for the state of the property, by mail after we had left , - the owner were not present at check-out time. We had only slept, eaten breakfast and showered.

Lovely town, lovely people

The house was clean and ready for us when we arrived. I was not aware there was a spiral staircase up to the living and sleeping area. The stairs were hard to get luggage up, and hard for an older woman to climb. I suggest full disclosure when marketing this home. Definitely NOT for older people with leg or knee issues. and NOT for small children who could easily fall down the stairs. The house itself is charming with a lovely backyard. The Lembergers are a terrific couple who me and my family enjoyed meeting. Thank you for a great couple of days. Diane Dickinson

Nous avons passé un super séjour. Endroit idéal pour visiter COLMAR et les petits villages alentour. La maison est belle avec le cachet de l'ancien et toutes les prestations modernes ; le beau temps étant présent, nous avons pu profiter du jacuzzi en extérieur ainsi que de la terrasse en plein soleil le midi. Le soir, sauna. Que demander de plus. Nos hôtes étaient charmants, à notre écoute, tout en restant discrets.Nous recommandons vivement cette location, de toute saison.Une famille rouennaise.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen und angenehmen Aufenthalt in diesem wunderbaren und liebevoll restaurierten Häuschen.Der Gastgeber Emmanuel hat im Vorfeld meist sehr zeitnah geantwortet. Bei unserer Ankunft konnte er wegen eigenen Urlaubs nicht anwesend sein, aber das war kein Problem, da die Schlüssel"übergabe" trotzdem gut funktioniert hat.Das Haus ist ruhig gelegen,sehr sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt. Bei unserer Ankunft war leider im 1. Stock eine rege Ameisenstraße von der Treppe durch den Essbereich zur Küche, in den Küchenschrank und ins untere Schlafzimmer, weswegen wohl schon eine Ameisenfalle aufgestellt war. Da es (sichtbar) in dem Bereich ca. 80-90 Tiere waren, haben wir mit Insektenspray Abhilfe geschaffen, um keine Ameisen in den Vorräten zu haben. Hat geklappt. Positiv fanden wir, dass das Haus durch die vielen Fenster regelrecht lichtdurchflutet ist und man gut querlüften kann. Gut auch, dass man das größere Schlafzimmer unter dem Dach komplett mit Rollos verdunkeln konnte. Die Betten waren uns zu hart, aber Betten sind ja immer eine sehr subjektive Sache. Die Sauna war sehr gepflegt und schnell warm. Besonders toll ist auch der zum Haus gehörige kleine Garten, in dem jetzt im Frühjahr alles angefangen hat zu blühen. Auch die Gartenmauern waren voll mit rankenden Blumen-Polsterstauden. Das war wünderschön.Die Lage ist prima für Ausflüge in die Umgebung und es gibt gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Ich schreibe selten eine Bewertung, aber ich möchte wirklich weitergeben, dass die Unterkunft ungewöhnlich sauber und ein sehr gemütliches und mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtetes Haus ist! Das Gastgeber-Ehepaar ist sehr herzlich und bemüht sich sehr! Wir kommen sicher wieder-es war ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt in einer tollen Gegend. Danke dafür!

Alles sehr sauber, super nette Vermieterin, die auch deutsch sprach. Sehr gemütlich und liegt in einer absolut urigen Gasse. Für uns war es trotzdem sehr zentral, da wir viel mit dem Auto unterwegs waren um die Gegend anzusehen. Es darf einen nicht irritieren, dass die Zufahrt in einer sehr schmalen Gasse liegt, in der aber kein Verkehr ist, also kein Problem. Wir waren alle sehr zufrieden und auch begeistert.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt! Die Unterkunft ist äußerst positiv hervorzuheben – sehr gepflegt und gemütlich. Die Vermieter sind außergewöhnlich nett und zuvorkommend, man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Absolut empfehlenswert! Auch die Umgebung ist traumhaft schön: das Elsass mit seiner herrlichen Landschaft, den charmanten Dörfern und den freundlichen Menschen hat uns sehr begeistert. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Liebevoll renoviertes und eingerichtetes Ferienhaus, in dem es an nichts fehlt - auch in der Küche ist alles da, inkl. Spülmaschine mit Tabs etc. Die Gastgeber sind herzlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Nur die Einfahrt zum Stellplatz ist sehr eng, aber mit etwas Übung auch mit Kombi machbar. Ein Auto ist für Ausflüge ein Muss, aber auch zum Essen gehen, da es im Ort nur zwei Restaurants gibt und der Bäcker Ende August im Urlaub war. Der Whirlpool ist ein Highlight, der Garten ist aber sehr schattig, so dass er von den Kindern ansonsten nicht genutzt wurde.

Wir haben uns im wunderschönen Haus , was sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet ist, sehr wohl gefühlt. In der Küche fehlten ein paar Kleinigkeiten zum Kochen. Bedauerlicherweise gab es keine Weingläser, was in einer Weingegend erstaunlich ist. Wir haben kurzerhand welche gekauft. Der nächste Gast wird sich freuen. Alles in allem eine wundervollen Umgebung und ein super schönes Haus. Wir freuen uns auf ein nächstes Mal.

Traumhaftes Haus und Garten

Die Vermieterin ist superfreundlich umd hilfsbereit.Im Haus ist alles vorhanden, was man sich wünscht.Der Garten ist ein Traum. Schöner Abstellplatz für die Motorräder.Alles Nötige im Ort ist fußläufig erreichbar. Wir kommen unbedingt wieder.
