Amazing cabin w great host

Christine's cabin never disappoints. This is our 3rd time staying here. We love how secluded it is yet still close to downtown, snowbowl and Grand Canyon. Christine is an awesome host and can't wait to visit again. Highly recommend this property

Best vacation

We stayed in Flagstaff so we could visit the Grand Canyon and Sedona. My children absolutely loved the house with the treehouse and they played in the snow every day. We felt extremely safe in that location, and it was so clean and organized. We loved everything about this house and will definitely come back!!

Peaceful retreat in the pines

We had a wonderful stay at the Hidden Hollow Log Cabin. Owners were extremely helpful and communicated very well. Cabin was beautiful and clean with everything you could want or need. We saw lots of deer and wildlife and enjoyed the pines and privacy. Kiddo loved the treehouse/playhouse and the kids only loft! Highly recommend this beautiful property.

Just book Hidden Hallow!!!

We had a wonderful time relaxing in the pines at the Hidden Hallow cabin! The home was immaculate, so well organized and beyond cozy and comfy! The host/owner, Cristina was beyond friendly and helpful! I couldn’t recommend this place enough. It will be impossible for us to come back to Flagstaff and not stay here, it’s truly the best! A perfect, remote location for peace, quiet, and nature!

Perfect Getaway

This is our second stay at the Hidden Hollow log cabin and it was even better than we remembered. The cabin is well stocked with everything you need and the location and views can't be beat. The owner is always available for questions and made sure our stay was perfect. They recently added an outdoor gas fire pit with additional seating that we enjoyed during the cool evenings and mornings - what a treat. We plan to return again next year, if not before. This is one of our favorite properties.

Cabin in the Woods!

I can't say enough perfect things about this beautiful Log Cabin Home. Our visit to FlagStaff was amazing! We cooked breakfast every morning, had coffee on the patio and enjoyed all of the wild life surrounding us. The view of the San Franciscan Mountains are amazing. The owner was on point with everything! Very nice vacation and if we ever get to FS again we will come back here! Thanks Christina!

Spring break in Flagstaff

Our family of 4 enjoyed the stay at Cristina's cabin. It is spacious and well equipped but most importantly, location, location location! It it tucked at the top of a wooded hill with wonderful surroundings. It snowed almost every day during our stay, but this did not bother us. The drive down the long and steep driveway in the morning after heavy snow was quite an adventure, and it absolutely required some experience and cool nerves. We made the best of the weather, including a day of skiing in Arizona Snowbowl. We wish we could come back here in the summer also - this beautiful cabin has something to offer for all seasons.

Base camp for day trips

My family of five adults comfortably stayed in the cabin for a long March weekend. Our intent was to stay in the Flagstaff area as a jumping off point for seeing the Grand Canyon and Sedona. The home is set in a wooded mountainous area and fairly rural given its proximity to Flagstaff. We appreciated the kitchen, complete with essentials; the comfy home theater area; the deck/balcony areas; the air-cleaning fans in the bedrooms. One thing to note, if you're not familiar with staying in a log cabin in the woods, the rooms are not very bright as the light doesn't reflect well off the logs so it's dim on a rainy day or at night.

Snowy Weekend

The stay was wonderful and as expected once we were able to get to the cabin. We were unable to access the cabin the first night because of a major snow storm. Very unique property with great views and good communications with property owner throughout the stay.

Christmas 2024

Overall the property is as listed and accommodated our family for Christmas. The home is beautiful, clean and well appointed. The only thing I would mention is to have a very clear and concise conversation about the homes water usage. There is, in my opinion a great deal of anxiety surrounding the homes guest water usage and even though we were well under consumption for our guest count, as verified by the host during a conversation with her on Christmas day, her anxiety was too much for us to manage and we left a day early to release her of any continued issue. Again, beautiful home with great views.

We had an amazing stay at this cabin! The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. The cabin was spotless and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Wonderful Flagstaff Retreat

Christina is a top notch host! The views from this property are tough to beat. The pines perfectly frame Humphrey's Peak, and the home sits on top of a hill creating a view above the tree tops below. The temps are considerably cooler than in town with the added elevation. With the property bordering the national forest there is an abundance of hiking and adventuring right out the back door. Christina even has a hike mapped out you can follow that has a historical marker for a covered wagon trail from the 1800s. This kitchen also has EVERYTHING! All too often rentals provide the bare minimum, but this property has every appliance or utensil and then some. Operating the various features of the home (media, lighting, AC, fireplaces etc) is a breeze with the excellent labeling and instructions. We felt like we were "off the grid" but Downtown is a short drive down the hill giving you the best of both worlds. I would highly recommend a stay at this wonderful and authentic log cabin!

Peaceful Retreat

We tend to seek properties that are a little off the beaten path. The cabin was the perfect getaway for us. Downtown is just 15 minutes away; however, the cabin's private location on the forest's edge allowed us to detach from everything. It is in an idyllic setting. The cabin itself is fantastic, and the craftsmanship is exceptional. The layout was perfect for our family of five. Everyone enjoyed morning coffee and spectacular views from the deck. All of the local points of interest are within a short drive. We also went on some great hikes straight back from the cabin and into the forest. Deer quietly grazed around the cabin most of the time and we even encountered some elk while on an afternoon walk. We hope to return.

About the host

Hosted by Cristina Ladas

Host profile image
I currently reside in Phoenix and consider this cabin my 2nd home/magical place on this planet. My 3 kids have grown up playing out in these forests and I'm glad to share it with others that need a good dose of nature and the outdoors! I am available 24/7 to guests via the app or personal cell phone - even to just give suggestions to great dinner spots in town.

Why they chose this property

In a mere 2 hour drive north from sunny Phoenix, you can be sipping hot chocolate on our cabin deck listening to the pine trees sway in the cool breeze. In winter, if it's raining here, it's probably snowing at the cabin! Quick, get in the car and grab the sleds!

What makes this property unique

There are not many authentic log cabins in Flagstaff...much less, ones that sit on 2.5 acres and border the national forest. At slightly higher elevation than downtown Flagstaff, the cabin is just a bit cooler in summer and snowier in winter. It's just before you hit the turnoff for Snow Bowl Ski Resort. Since it's on the north side of Flagstaff, it's a perfect spot for exploring northern AZ (Canyon is only 72 miles away)!
