About this property
Light, Bright & Airy Ranch! 3rd house from the Beach & Jenkinson’s Boardwalk!
This charming, well-kept beach bungalow offers high vaulted ceilings, skylights, and ranch-style living with everything on one floor. Located on a dead-end street, this is one of the few lanes (with several permanent residents) wide enough to drive a car down to unload luggage and groceries, plus offer a designated private parking space for one car. Only steps away, guests can access, through a private gate, the mile long Jenkinson’s Boardwalk, running parallel to the most pristine wide stretch of white sand beach - raked and cleaned daily. (Four beach badges are included with this rental). Located at the beach’s halfway point, a stroll to the right will take you to Jenkinson’s and Martell’s lively bar scenes, with great “live” entertainment, as well as the Jenkinson Aquarium, plus fun arcades, kiddie rides, shops, tasty food, and mini-golf. A left turn will lead you to the quieter end of the Manasquan Inlet where you can watch the boats come in, relax at the Tiki Bar with a beer and a pizza, and listen to local musicians play acoustic tunes. Join the crowds or escape for a bit - the easy access will allow you to take advantage of everything Point Pleasant Beach has to offer.
Away from the boardwalk, everything is within easy walking distance of this convenient beach house - party fishing boats, bike rentals, bars, ice cream shops and nearby restaurants. Take a short drive, or a nice long walk, and visit Point Pleasant's charming downtown, with its trendy boutiques, cafes, gourmet delis, antique emporiums, terrific bars and amazing restaurants. Or get tickets to Uncle Vinnie’s famous headliner comedy club. If you’re feeling adventurous, hop aboard a train at the Pt. Pleasant Beach station, and take a 20-minute ride to the uber-hip town of Red Bank, catch a show at The Count Basie Theater, or visit beautiful Monmouth Park Racetrack - they’re all a great way to spend an afternoon!
Wanna drive a little further? Shop for discounts on luxury brands like Coach & Michael Kors at the ‘Premium Outlets', less than 15 minutes away. And, if you’re feeling lucky, Atlantic City with its casinos, and top-name entertainment is approximately an hour’s drive.
Following the heartbreak of Hurricane Sandy, this fully restored house is totally smoke-free and no pets are allowed. The cheery interior has a full kitchen, living room, three bedrooms, a full laundry room and a powerful full house A/C, plus cable TV, Wifi, a stereo, DVD player and small electric fireplace.
All 3 bedrooms have full-size beds, with a closet in Bedroom #1, and a TV in Bedroom #2. The living room has two full-size leather sofas. The fully equipped kitchen has a table & chairs for six, new granite countertops, new ivory cabinets with 'soft close' drawers, a refrigerator, microwave, blender, toaster, coffee pot, plus all the dishes, pots, pans and utensils you'll need. The tiled bathroom has a large walk-in shower (no tub), and for your convenience, a separate laundry room provides a full size washer and dryer plus a hanging rod for clothing. Although outside space is limited, there is a gas grill for barbecuing, and an outdoor picnic table that we share with our next-door neighbors.
So, come! Bring your family...kick back and relax! Enjoy a great vacation at Point Pleasant Beach, where there's truly something for everyone!

Why they chose this property
We rented this house, ourselves, for 18 years from the original owners who were our friends. Each year, we'd bring our family and friends, and make such wonderful memories that the place always felt like our second home. With its fabulous location and comfortable layout - plus, knowing the pride and care our friends had always taken in their home, our desire to eventually buy it was a no-brainer. Of course, we then had to beg, borrow and steal to make our dream come true, but somehow (we still don't know how), we did it! And then came Sandy...
The storm's devastation was as horrific (even more so) than everything you'd heard and seen, yet, amidst the tears, the endless help and incredible generosity of volunteers, both young and old - many being strangers we had never met - it renewed our faith in humanity.
It took a year of repairs and remediation before this little vacation house was ours again. To say that we felt truly blessed is an understatement. We are so grateful to the lovely people that we continue to meet and communicate with, including you...our wonderful guests! We hope that you will make our home your home during your stay, and create your own magical memories here at our beloved beach house!

What makes this property unique
1. Waking up, throwing on a pair of sweats and walking to the Inlet with a cup of coffee to watch the boats go out in the morning.
2. Knowing that you have at least one parking space when all the parking lots around are full.
3. Leaving your chairs and stuff on the beach and running home to go to the bathroom or grab a drink.
4. Walking up to the boardwalk with your kids in their jammies to watch the fireworks at night.
5. Holding hands and walking on the beach!
