This beautifully restored 1878 Victorian farmhouse, along with The Roost in the Barn, offers the charm and character of a beautifully restored Victorian farmhouse with the privacy and flexibility of your own vacation home

Whether you're planning a family reunion, friends' getaway, cycling weekend, wedding celebration, holiday gathering, or simply time away together, Whispering Pines was designed for bringing people together—without feeling like you're all on top of one another. Five guest rooms, each with a private bathroom, multiple indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, and six peaceful acres provide the perfect balance of connection and quiet.

Begin the day with coffee on the wraparound porch as the sun rises over the property, spend time cooking and sharing meals together, gather around the dining room table for cards, conversation, or a favorite board game, relax in the seven-person hot tub, and end the evening around the fire pit beneath a canopy of stars. When you're ready for a little quiet time, you'll find plenty of cozy corners to read, nap, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings before joining everyone again.

When you're ready to explore, Whispering Pines is the perfect home base for discovering southeast Nebraska. Visit Arbor Lodge State Historical Park, the J. Sterling Morton Mansion, local wineries and orchards, charming downtown shops, museums, golf courses, hiking and cycling trails, or enjoy an easy day trip to nearby communities before returning to your own private retreat.

Modern conveniences—including high-speed Wi-Fi, Roku TVs in every guest room, televisions in the common gathering areas, a fully equipped kitchen with a gas range, two refrigerators, quality cookware, an outdoor grill, and thoughtful amenities throughout the home—make it easy to stream a family movie, cheer on your favorite team, or simply enjoy a comfortable weekend together.

Perfect for our weekend reunion!

We met here with family to celebrate my mother-in-law's 80th birthday! It was a beautiful property that had much to offer! Puzzles, games, inside and outside seating areas, two refrigerators, plenty of green space for the kids to run, a fire pit, beautiful little pond with fish, plenty of parking, and a bathroom for every room! It was perfect for our needs. We had a very enjoyable weekend here! My highlight was sitting anywhere in the wrap around porch and watching the many fireflies at night! So fun!

This property was very beautiful, and has a very unusual and interesting decor of vintage items. The beds were comfortable and the place was clean. The price was a little high and you have to read carefully the fine print. There are very rigid rules of how many people can be at the house at one time. We wanted to have a small family reunion there but we couldn't because of extra charges.
