This delightful, 19th century Bohemian farmhouse stands completely free in the picturesque hills and has recently been carefully and very tastefully restored. The house is within cycling distance (5 km) from Lake Lipno. It is a beloved family home where we spend many happy holidays.
The farmhouse offers a sea of space (300 m²), divided over the ground floor and the upper floor. The living rooms and barns are set around a large, sunny courtyard with a handmade picnic table. the layout is open to keep the spacious and playful character of the house. The farms sleeps max. 8 persons.
Beautiful herringbone parquet has been laid in all areas, the wooden beams have been left exposed as much as possible and where possible original materials were used during the renovation. The personal and tasteful decor, with antiques and handmade furniture, makes the farm a very special holiday house.
In the garden there is a swimming pool (diameter 4.5 meters, June - August). There is a giant trampoline and on the hill, bordering a strip of forest, a nice hut is built by and for children. From this hut, a panoramic view can be enjoyed at sunset.
On rainy days there is plenty of entertainment inside. There is a table tennis table in the living room and a football table on the landing. Audio and video equipment, toys, games and DVDs are available. Close by, in Frymburk, there is a large swimming pool with a slide, Turkish bath, and wellness center. All year round, child-friendly attractions are offered in and around Lipno.
On the beautiful days it is wonderful to enjoy the sun, either in the spacious courtyard or in the large garden around the house. Garden furniture and BBQ are available.
The house has a well-stocked bookcase with guides and walking and cycling maps. There is central electric heating and a wood stove in the spacious living room.
Beautiful cycling and walking tours start right from the house. The farm lies along a country road that leads to the picturesque Svetlik. Whoever knows how to find them, can pick mushrooms there on the way. In the winter, you can go from the hills to your heart's content.
The Bohemian Forest (Šumava) is the largest nature reserve in Bohemia and it has been declared a "biosphere reserve" by Unesco. Culture and nature lovers can enjoy a wonderful holiday in both summer and winter. In summer, there are many opportunities for hiking and cycling through numerous marked hiking and mountain biking trails. In winter there are extensive cross-country skiing possibilities from the holiday home. At a short distance (20-50 km) are several excellent ski slopes.
Less than 25 kilometers away is the historic UNESCO-protected Ceský Krumlov with its beautiful castle and Egon Schiele Center. Brno with its Villa Tugendhat by Mies van der Rohe and the capital Prague are definitely worth a visit.
